What WILL you make with a GPS enabled or very detailed track editor?

I had started a thread like this earlier in the year when it was all just speculation but now it seems to be confirmed! So lets bring on the ideas again.

1st one I want is Road America (about 40min from my house)

Another three words that come to mind are ISLE OF MAN.

Someone could run up Pikes Peak, Dragons Tail, Hoggsback...

There are a ton of routes in my local town with wicked elevation changes that would make for some great rally stages.

Can't wait.
See, that's just a huge aspect of this, the people that have access to race tracks around the world that aren't in GT can just drive around them and upload to the game. God, i can't wait.

That is a great idea to go to tracks that aren't in GT6! 👍 Would like to see what it's like to go at...not legal speeds on New Hampshire's Kancamagus Highway. Unfortunately, I don't really have a phone or tablet to use for this feature...

This legally answers the old question, "I wonder how fast I can get to that stoplight from here." lol, Or I can recreate the racetrackish route I did in HS! :D

If this also logs altitude, this is game just upped over 9000

Yeah, that is the question. I wonder how it would cope with surrounding terrain though. After all, the road can't be floating in the air.

Chances are that it just records the horizontal data and then applies it to an existing terrain template.

This! Both the Kancamagus highway and route 16 in the mountains above North Conway.

I wish I have a Japanese friend who can do up hill and down hill run on the various Touge roads in Japan :( Akina and Hakone
I adore those roads in Japan. :) I wonder if there are some players from Japan online to recreate them. Hopefully so for some online touge action! :D

TOUGE!!!
Ebisu east and west and Nikko too. I may know of some Japanese people that could do them!

Alright! Thanks a lot @Warren4649, that'll be great if you did please. :D

This blows my mind. Im heading straight to buttonwillow and chuckwalla raceways when this is enabled.

Since the racing line doesnt truelly replicate the design of the course though, I fear the gps representation might be really off

Not to mention it's GPS data. Not visual data. We don't know if it has preset enviroments that will be used or blank canvas'.

If you're alone on the track, try driving one lap sticking to the centre of the track :)

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I would just have to wait until the last session of the day and hope most people have left and/or I don't get black flagged for driving like a moron

I think you guys aren't thinking big enough in terms of "I wonder if there is someone out there" to drive requested roads and tracks. I see this becoming a big side "business" if you will be it through donations or in game bartering depending in how the in game marketplace is setup. I don't think it will be that difficult to get almost literally any drivable surface in the world once this gets going.
