What would YOU find dissapointing in GT5?

I think the word "would" should be capitalized as well in the topic title, just to reduce the confusion I went through for others.

The thing that is going to be the most disappointing about GT5 to me is: The Sound. I've seen a couple of videos of GT5. I've played GT5P and I know, it's not done. But over the past decade or so they still haven't delivered in sounds. The turbochargers spooling up, the surge from the compressor wheel, the Blow off valve. It's sadly not even close.

I want to experience the flamboyance of the exhaust noise in my ears. I want to hear 600hp from my Mines Skyline. I want to hear the lovely noise from my V8 F430. I want to hear the VTEC in my Honda. This is what is going to disappoint me in GT5.

The only thing that GT5 will disappoint me is... If it won't show up in TGS, that's all. My list of disappointment will be TBA for now until I see some solid announcement . I'll try to enjoy every bits of GT5 prologue to the fullest, because that game will end up in my collection box when GT5 arrive.

The transmission between day and night, weather changes and all that kind of stuff. Definitely want to see that in GT5. :)

I think they did an ok job with turbo sound in GT2 and 3, but changed it in GT4 which is dumb down sound (not really, because you can't even hear it outside your car).

Anyway, I agree, they should upgrade the turbo sound in GT5. The Blitz ER34 in prologue sounds nothing like the real thing, it has a huge turbo, but in prologue it sounds like a stock turbo. Well i got a lot on my list, but i don't think this is the time for that, I'll wait for TGS.

Now is there confirmation of no actual day/night and weather change in GT5?

How can we complain of something when it is not even out? I feel dumb for posting that AI is bad and lack of customization.:dunce:

This is about OUR predictions. If you can read the thread. :dunce:

You try to make me look stupid yet you don't even know what the thread in THEORY is..

-No Day/Night cycle
-NO CHANGEABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS IN REAL TIME
-No rubbering up of the track-small disappointment
-No ability to tune tyre pressures, especially in race cars(tyre pressures is the most basic setup adjustment anyone can make on their own car-dont know why this shouldnt be included)
-No tracks from the weather predictions in gt5 prologue

thats about it

- voice chat not working properly.
- not being able to fully customise private lobbies options (allowing/disallowing use of pad/wheel, abs, TCS, car tuning, etc...)

People whining about things which are either not confirmed or rumors, damn... what's up with GTP these days ~__~VV
I second that.

Honestly I am relatively happy person... so the only thing that could disappoint me is GT5 being canceled.
I third that! 👍

This is like a reverse wishlist
Does this reverse wishlist have working rear lights??

Okay, but seriously, here's my contribution:
  • If GT5 doesn't have race mod with optional body components and a livery editor.
  • If it doesn't have used cars or an auction/online sales system.
  • If it doesn't have well endowed Season or Career Modes with lots to do.
  • If a thread like this isn't posted in the Forza section.
Of course, my disappointment will last all of a minute. Heck, in spite of how basic GT4 is compared to the newer games, I'm still amazed at what's been accomplished in it, and still racing in it.

And since I doubt such a thread will ever see the light of day here or anywhere on the intranets dealing with Forza, I'll cover that too.

  • Cars which have incorrect behavior characteristics, performance and modeling.
  • Physics loopholes resulting in unfair domination by certain unlikely cars.
  • Crashes and other instabilities.
  • Livery editor poop like in FM2.
  • Limited space for cars and replay saves.
  • Wrecks which have the 360 freezing for a second.
  • Not being able to paint the front window stripe or add graphics to windows like names and racing numbers.
This would boil down to:

Bugs and flaws, and an obviously rushed product. And while I'd like to see the return of FM1's trainable drivatar, I can live without it.

From the top of my head:

No dynamic weather with real night races. (not the Las Vegas-like night we've had so far).

No attemtion to little details that are easy to solve. (skidmarks, turn off the HUD, racing modifications).

Poor selection of cars. Would be brutal for instance if Lamborghini had only the Countach and the 25th year edition. GT2 had a major problem with this.

20 tracks would be a disaster.

Mechanichal damage being subtle.

I guess those are my biggest concerns let's see what TGS brings us.

No Bathurst.
Very limited selection of Australian cars.

Prepare to be dissapointed then... I am (prepared that is).

(No Bathurst is pretty much a certainty, The only people known to have collected data on bathurst are the team that did Oran Park LIDAR for Rfactor.)

If the online aspect of the game only consists of setting up a room for races.

What online features I would like to see are:

1. Leaderboards even for single player events.
2. Roll up leaderboards like Forza 2.
3. Ability to set up racing teams.
4. Online tournaments includng qualification.
5. Many options for the host i.e Collisions on/off, damage on/off.
6. Leaderboards to see the best racing teams.

Also if anyone cheats or uses a glitch to gain faster laptimes then PD quickly fix the glitch and remove the cheated times from the leaderboards. I've seen many games ruined because of glitchers!

Yes i'm prepared i've already accepted it.

You mean like this? Which nothing has been done about.............

No stationary start grids

No qualifying

No decent WRC rally Special Stages.

Cars that sound unrealistic.

No handbrake hand movement in cockpit driving view.

Bad car sounds,:yuck:
No weather,:scared:
No Koenigseggs:tdown:
and if the Countach was the only Lamborghini in the game:grumpy:

Though I doubt it will be the only model, the secrecy is cool! It's good to know the manufacturer, but I like not knowing which exact models will make the cut. Same with the Ferrari models. It adds to the suspense. Like there's not enough, right? :P

Exactly:nervous:

the 20 tracks thing could be a huge disappointment, especially if the 20 includes Nascar and WRC.

I will be quite disappointed if the penalty system is still like GT5p's with the silly pauses.

And finally I will be a little disappointed if the car list is once again massively biased to hundreds of versions of the same Japanese car

That it is not the greatest race game and best simulation with the most cars and tracks of this generation of Consoles? :sly:

1. No save-game option during pitstops for long races
2. No Spa-Francorchamps
3. No Porsche
