What would YOU find dissapointing in GT5?

I will only be disappointed if its not released this year. I will be happy if it's just Prologue but with more cars & tracks.

Having played and fallen in love with the cockpit view in GT5P, a cockpit view in GT5 is now a must for me.If not all cars in GT5 have a cockpit view then I'll most likely only drive the cars that do,which would be a shame and a waste.

Apart from that I'll be happy to take the game as it comes.

These would be the most disappointing for me:

No weather/night. (in fact, I don't even mind if it doesn't change within races)
No replay editor.
No advances made in car customisation.
No revived classic tracks.
No livery editor.
No used cars.

However, I am already sure this will be an epic game that I will really enjoy.

B-Spec Mode was there before FM's Driveatar, so the return is actually the return of B-Spec Bob ;)
While this is technically true, you trained the two bots in entirely different ways. For the Drivatar, you actually drove cars around. For B-Spec Bob, you guided him around a track with simple speed up/slow down commands. I actually nodded off a few times training him. :P

I would be dissapointed if:

Most cars dont have cockpit view
There is no visible customization (Custom livery, Body kit etc.)

Thats about it come to think of it.

Being asked what we find dissapoitning about GT5 and all the speculation and Idiotic talk that does not concern GT. No one leaves opinions or grieviances about how the Goverment takes our money and lies to us everyday of our lives or speculate how they will con or parents and grandparents out of their pension.

Whatever shall we do??

DUH!!

I hear you, SpawnB. America is heading that way with the current mob controlling Washington. And the incessant whining here, it does get old. We get news, and within just a few minutes, crybabies come crawling in from all over. Hopefully when the game comes out, the whiners will be too busy trying to find flaws in 1000 cars to spend time here. :P

I would be disapointed if after we get GT5, this endless complaining and bitching continues about how the game is not up to your standards. (and following how GTP has been recently, I'd assume it will.)

only 20 tracks in the game Which who ever said that in the first place obvioulsy has no sense of the GT world
People complaining about GT5 who haven't ever touched a GT game before GT5.
Online mode punters(should be faced with penalties or banning from GT5 online)
People who will complain about damage hampering their gameplay when they wanted it so badly.
Honestly I really dont give a flying crap about damage in GT5.
The concrete walls of death from NFS
People nit picking at GT5's bad points when the good points of the game clearly outweigh the bad ones.
PD never offering DLC for GT5
No GT-Mode.

What do you mean by the concrete walls of death?

It's a topic of civil conversation guys :)
Not a whine :P
This thread is actually pretty free of whiners.

I also forgot "rabbit" cars that fly ahead of you, that would be mildly irritating to see return.

Very interesting lists, good to hear!

BTW to those who don't have anything creative to add (like your own list) could you please respect the request to respect what might dissapointoint others and if you have nothing to post besides whining about people whining, please just graciously move on?

Thanks.

I actually have been fairly pessimistic when it comes to GT5, I figure that way it will look 10X better than if I expect everything that has been rumored(which is basically everything except NASCAR and WRC).

However I will be disappointed that I won't be able to use a wheel as I have no room in my budget to spend $500 on a wheel/cockpit.

Being able to reach 300+ mph (unless dragsters are included in GT5). To me, the idea of Nitrous Oxide equipped on a Toyota GT-One is silly.

What about the Veyon?

There have been GT Mobile video's showing it getting into the mid 300's.

4 Things that I expect will result in disappointment, in order of importance to me:

1. Vehicle sounds. Engine, exhaust, transmission, backfire, general spluttering, all that stuff won't be that great, I've pretty much accepted that, but here's hoping 👍 Really, if the sounds were as good as the graphics, I would be over the moon if it was just an HD GT4...

2. Not many tracks. Especially in WRC and NASCAR. From what we've all been given, I'm expecting less than 30 tracks, which is a shame, but DLC will hopefully save the day :)

3. Inability to respray the car. I just don't see how hard this can be. I don't care if Ferrari didn't sell an F40 in Black at the time, I want one in black. Oh, and white. It's slightly depressing just how happy I'll be if you can actually respray the cars to the colour of your choice... Again, 90% sure this won't be possible, but here's hoping...

4. The selection of TVRs available (mix this in with the doubtless appalling sounds for them, and I may weep like an infant for a few moments :( )

5. Lack of interior views for all of the cars (I don't like the idea of the autosave feature mixed with the 'will I buy this car and find out when I first drive it that it doesn't have an interior view' lottery)

6. Another thing, if the torque split controller you can buy for a 4WD car finally actually lets you do 100% to the rear like it insisted it could in the earlier games... I want a RWD Lancia Delta and a RWD old Impreza :)

Simple:

- Tons of variations of the same car.
- Not having cockpit views/damage/damage in cockpit views/damage in exterior/ in all cars.
- Not having reverse lights.
- Having less tracks than before.
- Having more invented tracks than real tracks.
- Poorly implemented damage (I'd rather not have damage at all). Not having damage on all cars counts as poortly implemented damage.
- Terrible balance of cars between countries.
- Not having endurance races.
- Not having day/night cycles for endurance races and races in general.
- Two laps races (give me a proper race, dammit).
- Not being able to repaint the car.
- Having the game released before I get a PS3. (Not really dissapointing, but I would be 🤬 pissed to lag behind in terms of conversation in the forum. :grumpy:)

I'm done. I'm not asking much, am I?

1. ) not being released in 2009
2. ) every car not having interior
3. ) sounds of backfiring and flames from the exhausts

It would also disappoint me to hear fanboy whine and cry about Forza 3 when it comes out here on GTP and say "We are much better than you" without having played GT5 and vice versa

- Limited number of tracks
- Mission races dominating the game play
- Loss of Original tracks, that have been with the series from the beginning
- No Home Garage, in Arcade Mode
- Lack of proper tire wear
- AI predictable pit strategy on endurance races
