Yes, both sides of the argument have a determined following.Has anybody ever said anything to you that would make independence sound good?
I hate that everyone thinks I ride my Kangaroo to school!

I'm going to have to completely change how I view Australia now.
This. Plain and simple. The poor ethics of the people who live here. I'm not calling out everyone in the United States, but there are countless instances where I've seen people act so arrogant, rude, and stupid. It makes me feel embarrassed to be American.
+1This. Plain and simple.

I hate how a lot of people love to complain about how terrible things are politically and socially, yet don't bother trying to change anything.
The inferiority complex. Ask a group of Canadians what Canada is all about and they'll spout off things that we do differently than America and circle jerk about guns and health care.
You should come to the Maritimes. That's truly the biggest difference I've noticed after growing up in Ontario and then studying here. People are just so much more friendly and casual conversation with cashiers, waiters/waitresses, and strangers is so much more fulfilling. People are genuinely interested in other people's lives and incredibly friendly. You jaywalk in front of a car and they slam on the brakes and apologize.Everybody stays in their own world, and after spending time in NYC last year, I was blown away by how genuinely friendly and helpful people were there.

You can thank the sleaze ball Tony George for destroying Indycars popularity and the 2005 US GP for denting F1s popularity.Pretty much the only racing most Americans acknowledge in NASCAR
