Lambo Lp640

or

67 Shelby gt500
elenore frpm gone in 60 seconds

i actually sat in that car, and mike tysons old diablo.

greatest day ever

So after long cosideration...

150k right off the top for a split between a nice s class merc and a nice gmc suv.
The rest go towards the most porsche I can get, after porsche it would go to a vette. That or the last 100k go towards a m3 2 door new and a hatch wrx since the m3 wouldnt leave enough for the sti.

Lotus Evora S - 80k$
Volvo P1800S "Saint" - 16k$
Subaru Impreza RS coupe '01 - 7k$
Lotus Elite 1975 - 8.5k$
Audi S4 Avant - 15k$
Nissan GT-R '14 - 100k$
BMW 135i '08 - 20k$
AMC Gremlin '7x - 3.5k$

That's about it. :D

One goal I had in this was to isolate the needs I would have... In this case I realized it was only 3 cars.

A daily for four people who didn't want to ride in a track car.

A big car for 7 or more (third row seating and what not).

A car for me, the driver.

A driver's car alone could take me forever to figure but at least I got away from the current daily driver (which to me represents the track and daily driver).

What about a project car/classic car?

You could mix that with the drivers car/ track car just like you could mix the big car with offroader. Still It would not be enough for me with 3 cars, as I'd prefer more than one performance car that racha concentrates within something instead Of one that does all well

What about a project car/classic car?

I'm not quite as enthusiastic about working on a car as I am driving one. :sly: Heck, it's one of the reasons I often buy new cars instead of used.

If I was going to work a project car into the above given list it would smooth everything out very well...

150k to GMC and Benz for SUV and 4 door.
100k to Porsche (most lux'd out custom Caymen possible) and the remainder to an '06 Sti used but tuned and retuned track day special. :P

I'll cover the basics of rational multiple car ownership, which are attaining to your family needs and having space for a driving treat or two:

In US dollars:

Long hauler, Off-roader, Wife's Mobile
Land Rover Discovery TDV6 - $65.000 - Comfortable, capable, spacious, can take luggage and people with dignity and relative swiftness. It's a very handsome brute as well and more than enough for the sort of offroading I'd need.

Everyday Car, Grown Man Boy's Persona
Subary BRZ - $25.000 - Getting from home to work, short trip would be a bit special on something like the Subieyota. It's also cheap, ideal for the potential crashes and scuffs that await on the way to and from the office, and it's compactness allows easier navigation through parking lots and tight streets. Has to be manual.

Classic, Italian Flair, Something to listen
Ferrari 355 - $60.000 There are even spiders for this money, I'll refrain from looking at the service history, though. Neat models are close to 80 grand. Sounds amazing and looks fantastic, one of the few square-faced Ferraris that works design-wise to my eyes. Sounds fantastic too.

Driving treat
2013 Nissan GTR - $100.000 - Never had a go in one of these, but I want it badly. If it feels half as fast as everyone claims, it's a Saturn V with wheels. A 911 Carrera S would be a more grown up choice and a perhaps a nicer place to sit, as would the new Stingray or even a Viper, but I'd get the Japanese nuke any day over any of these other cars.

Grocery getter: 2013 BMW 335i xDrive w/ M sport line package/ $51'245
It's easy enough to live with, sporty for a sedan in its class and has AWD for weathery roads.

GT/Long distance: 2005 Mercedes Benz CL65 AMG/ $35'800
I can't for the life of me figure out why these things depreciated so hard. Maybe it was the interior, or an outdated chassis?

Why not: 1992 Lamborghini Diablo/ $90,000
It's a poster car. Pretty sure i'm tall enough to see past the gauges, shifting might be another story...

Mad tyte dawg: LS7 NSX/ i'll figure some way to make it 72 grand
VTEC just got kicked yo!

Ive sat in a diablo and unless you're under 6'2", you're uncomfortable.
I am 6'3" and it wasn't bad, but driving it wouldn't be too comfy.

Give or take, around $250,000..

One of my cousins and I do these kind of things all the time. However, we don't usually set a spending limit, and when I do we usually set the cap pretty high (1 Million the last time).

With that said, let's see...

$250,000...

2013 Aston Martin DB9, or 2012 Virage - $180,000 ish

2012_Aston_Martin_Virage_coup%C3%A9.jpg

Leaving me with $60,000 ish. I'd buy a new Camaro ($30,000) for my fiance, and just hold on to the rest? I unno, I don't know what else I'd want for $30,000 ish.

EDIT - I guess, as I believe it's been stated, it's not much of a dream garage if there's a cap on the spending that doesn't quite meet the majority of dream cars one might have. lol

I don't think I would buy a single car over 50K. For the most part I'm more interested in buying a car as a platform and building it myself.
-Factory Five Cobra - When built for driving pleasure and not concours it can be done for 25k easily and look great next to a
-Factory Five Type 65 Coupe - 30k built in the same manner.
-Jeep Comanche drag truck. Bore and stroke the I6, slap a turbo on, definitely a unique vehicle. Maybe 15k if I go gold plated parts and full restoration.
-Mod my Legacy to kingdom come - 10k
-First gen Dodge Viper GTS, for the shear awe factor, and childhood fantasy fulfillment. 45K
-Plymouth Duster, pro touring style. Everyone needs a muscle car. These are cheap and as a Mopar fan this would work nicely. Start with a 3k project car and throw 20k at it.
Lets see that's 133k. 3 V8's, H4, I6, V10... Convertible, 3 coupes, wagon, truck...no mid engine yet...
-Acura NSX. Mid engine, manual, yes please. 40k and then throw in 10k for aesthetics.
-BMW E39 M5. 25k for the nicest one I can find.
-97-99 Jeep Cherokee for exploring. 13k should do it.
I don't know what else. I've hit most of the vehicle uses and spanned a good variety of shapes. Not much with a I4 interests me, most V12s are exotic or not really exciting cars. I'm happy with my selections..
