What's your target?

National Top 100 would be great and 2:19x. Currently at 109th position with a 2:21.4

Combo feels really great and needs skills to get a clean, fast lap

For now I'm certainly in the nation top50 what i want to reach, I'm 22nd atm, but I need to get sub 2:20. Atm I'm at a 2:20.2

I'm 13th currently :P

Sub 2:20 is just possible.. I can't get how to get sub 2:19, let alone sub 2:18.. The car starts sliding at random moments and without reason sometimes..

I can't see me having the motivation this year to put enough time in to get to the UK final again... it consumed almost all my spare time!

I'll run a few laps today and see how it feels.

Not far off my target of a sub 2:19. Currently on 2:19.6 with a cold start, can gain .3 with a good run up and still plenty left on the track to add to it. Will quit once I reach it my target. 👍

I'm hoping to beat my friends first then see how fast I can get with a ds3, howcome people are able to go so much quicker with a wheel??

I have had the car spin out on a straight for no reason. It's was like all the power went to one wheel.

The TT is actually fun, but then I remembered how much of my life went into the TTs I did back in the days in FM2.

So it's the free GT-R for me and the knowledge that my competitive days are definitely over.

I feel a little bit of remorse to be honest, but to me, TTs are as addictive as smoking, so... best quit while I still can ;)

In this i dont think the difference of pad is huge, id say 0.3-0.5 from pad to wheel.... i just got 2'18.390 on pad = joint 11th in UK, wont last top 20 for long though.... hope to get another 0.2 before i get a wheel (still looking to pick up a G25/G27 at a bargain) which i feel i could get 17.6-17.8.
At one point i was .801 up on a 2'18.965.

2:23.1 here. Tough track, slippery car, Rubbish tyres.

It is a good challenge. My target would be to stay in the top 500 UK/Eire, which I currently am but by the time you've read this, I will not be.

First ever time I've done this and first ever time I've raced GT5 without the driving line on - it's quite liberating when you learn the track :)

Using the pad until I learn the track starting to put in consistent times it is helping using the leaders ghost car to 'race'. Although I am 5 secs of the leaders time there is one section I am faster than him. I can stay within a second until the 90degree right handed after the corkscrew but the the last left handed does me can't work out if it's a double or late apex corner.

Would like to get in the 2:18-2:20.
Anything better than that would be a bonus and being top 100 in UK/IRL or stay within top 10 in Ireland alone would be great but I doubt I'll have the time as well as it being my first time trying the TTs and only have the wheel setup since Christmas so alot of practice needed.

I'm 1:23 at the moment and can cut 2-3 seconds on that for most of the lap and actually faster than the leader at times for ghe first and bit of the second sector but always seem to mess up from the cork-screw onwards.

Looks like you've got some competition ;)

Good luck though I'm also aiming for this one :D!

Haha, gotta love the competition. From reading through posts you seem exactly like me, I was playing on the wheel before and put quite a bit of effort in and could manage a 2.19.1 (pacing low 18's though) and then within 3 laps on the pad got a 2.18.5. Pretty frustrating!

Hehe ye I was the same, although my best times were pacing me low 18's late 17's on a wheel, jumped on a Pad and just saw the time, so hopefully today ill get my 17.4 as I lost a huge amount of time on that lap :(.

But ye love the competition, makes it all the more fun trying to perfect laps! :D!

After a couple days for me to get used it, I'd really like to get sub 2:18.

Thats my aim for now, you never know, that might even be enough to get me to the finals....

I'd be amazed if a 2.17.xxx made the finals.

I think a couple of people might get a sub 2:17 but the majority of finalists will be 2:17'5xx and below.

The French leaderboard is most competitive at the moment, probably because of the popularity of the last GTA winner, but all the top 20 are sub 2:18'xxx and nobody is below 2:17'2xx.

I think its a fair assumption that a 2:17'5xx and below will make the finals.
