What's your target?

The UK/IRE leader boards are getting so competitive so early, these guys are fast!

There is less than 0.4 secs between 6th & 20th!

Currently 2:22.081 with a DS3.
I know I can improve a lot more because I knocked of .9 yesterday.
I'd be happy if I can get a sub 2:20.

well happy so far. i was stuck at 2.24 laps on DS3 auto. had another go last night and got 2.23.1 which is over a second quicker than previous time. im going ot have another go later and try knock that down even more

Never thought id be doing this well, on the last Academy I didnt do so well with the stock 370Z.

Got to 25th in UK last night, hopefully i can make top 20.

Down to 2.21.5xx, just starting to get used to the track and the car. It's bloody addictive I tell you. Setting myself a target now to improve 0.5 seconds a day, I think that's reasonable considering I can only play for about an hour or so a day. Using a DS3 until I get a Wheelstand Pro for the DFGT.

I think my original goal of improving my time by 0.5 seconds a day was a little bit ambitious!! I'm on 2.21.060 now and if I improve a tenth of a second per day I'll be happy!

I'm on 2:20.808 now, but I'm loosing my motivation.
I'm not gonna make top 20, and allthough it's cool to be in the top 100 it's rather pointless.

I'm aiming for a modest goal of a valid 2:20.

Currently got a 2:22 and did an invalid 2:20 last night, gutted to have let a slight lapse ruin a really good run.

Although that was the first proper session I had put in - and that was only about an hour, so I think a 2:20 ... or possibly better may be achievable if I can put the time in!

Can anyone tell me where a 2:20 sits in the leader board - and what the 100'th time currently is?

Havent had a chance to play GT5 in the last few weeks, come back to find that yep... they have shaved off 2 seconds of what i thought was a near perfect time. My initial time was a 2:21 and i thought i could perhaps hit the 2:18.x zone, but i come back and they are in the 2:16.x area.

I honestly think there is no point, achieving such a time for me would require far more time and effort that I could possibly afford, and ultimately I just don't think i'm good enough.

Goodluck to you guys topping the charts!

After 5 tries I'm at 2:21.7xx, considering this is the first day for us italian drivers, it's not totally bad... But I don't think I can reach the 2.17.xxx - 2.18.xxx required to stay in the top 20, I lose a lot of time in various part of the track and don't know why, tomorrow I'll try to study the fastest replays...

My current best time is 2:17.615 and it's nowhere near good enough! 2:16 here we come!
I'm not giving up until I make it through to the next round!
Infact, I will never give up, end of!

See you in the next round mr TECHNIKRS4

I need to have another go at this, on my first session some weeks ago I could barely manage 2'30 which put me in about 2000th!

I don't think i'm a terrible driver, just shows how good the very best are though. I wish the car had more grip though as I think DS3 users like myself are at a major disadvantage, but then I would say that :)

EDIT: Just noticed some people are faster on a pad...jeez

The guy in 20th (EU) uses a DS3 pad, he also has an interesting "guide" video posted on youtube to help out people improve their times.

I have just bought a PS3, GT5 and a Wheel. All I have never used before.

So I am more in it to prepare for any future event.

Last night they all arrived and I fired up GT5, I managed a 2.17 in the GTR '07 on Suzuka. Judging by the overall 2.13.970 achieved at the wildcard uk event I might not be too shabby at it. I have under 2 weeks to get up to speed on the GT Academy Trial Track, If I get into top 100 I would be pretty happy any higher and I will be gutted I didn't have a PS3, wheel etc when GT5 came out!

Best of luck everybody.

i wanted to reach round 2 but this is harder than i thought ... I figured like 1000 people go in round 2 so i made a UK account just for the fun of it, then i heard only two top players from each region go to round 2... n I'm like 10 seconds slower :-s i just tried it yesterday for like an hour maybe i should try harder till it closes , maybe i can .. i dont know if im ready yet but im sure you can do anything with enough practice
