No Problem......When I bought the WSP......they were the only stand out there that I like ....Renn was not on the market...... Rennn is a very nice stand...And if I was to get another...i would go with the Renn...Like the wide base....The WSP is a very overprice Item.....there not to much to it...As you can see from my review. I had to MOD 80% of the parts to make it a Great Wheel Stand....I like where I can pack it up and put off n a corner of the room....I guess that what I am paying for

Ok, glad you're ok with it. I don't think WSP is a bad product, but if you compare the two photos and take into account, that they are priced very similarly...well to me it's just a no-brainer.

I've just orderd the fanatec wheelstand with the shifter and pedal stopper but under my account it says ive orderd it two times.
Is this right ?

Fanatec has just added 50 € to its Rennsport wheel stand's price which is also sold out until November.

Well... I guess that makes me buy the WSP.

Did you not read it? More adjustability, comes WITH a pedal stopper and G25/27 and Fanatec shifter adapter.

It's not like they said
"We've run out of PWTS so we are losing money, lets go and bump the RSWS by 50€"

Has anyone ordered the Rennsport wheelstand and still waiting on it to be delivered? I placed an order late August with my turbo s wheel and was told it would be back in stock late September.

I sent an email last week but have yet to hear a reply on what is happening. Would also like to see exactly what the improvements are over the original stand as if there was a vast difference I would consider giving the extra 50euro to have the newer version even if I did have to wait a little longer.

The only major change (beside adding the acessories) is that we made the vertical post adjustable as well. This is not really needed in practice and more a marketing thing as the WSP is also adjustable on this post and some people think they might need it.
It is certainly not needed but we found a solution to add adjustability without sacrifying our stability so we did it and people don't have the feeling they miss something.

Thanks for the reply, any chance you can give me an estimate when my wheelstand will be back in stock and ready for dispatch? I ordered back in August.

I can't seem to find this. Where do you read the new specs?

UK-Gamer is looking at the EU store and I assume you (St.Mackenzies) are from US. US store does not have the updated wheel stand listed (yet).

I ordered the RSWS on september 30th from the USA store. Since the new version is not listed yet, does that mean I'll receive the original design. No biggie if so since I ordered the pedal stop separately. But I would like the added adjustability (one of the reasons I almost ordered the WSP) of the new version.

E-mail to see if you can get the new one for extra $$$

I've been thinking of getting one of these stands but I have one question.
When your driving does the metal pole supporting the wheel get in the way of pressing the pedals or hits your legs?

Yes it does, it hits your legs and if your height challenged, left foot braking is very hard.

To all Wheel Stand owners!

I am doing a litle research and like to find out why you decided to buy a WSP instead of the Fanatec RSWS or the other way round.

I went with the rennsport but if I was going to buy now, I most likely would go with the WSP. The RSWS is great but WSP will now ship with USPS while Fanatec only ships with UPS. UPS prices for crossing the border into Canada are horrendous.

It does not matter if you tested both products. At the moment i would just be interested to find out your motivitation to buy either one of those.

So why did you purchase your WSP?

Or why did you purchase your RSWS?

This will help us to improve our product and service and will help others to make a buying decision. You can mention any argument like:
  • price
  • service
  • product design
  • product construction (adjustability, sturdiness ec)
  • user recommendations
  • test reviews
  • compatibility to this or that wheel
  • etc etc
I bought mine a earlier this year. (WSP) I had many reasons, one being teh price. WSP was cheaper and available in stock right away. I'm impatient, like many other racers, so it being instock all the time helped. Also my reason for the WSP is its adjustablilty. Its seemed to have more options like the telescoping centerpost and the ability to adjust the wheel tilt degree. I wanted a stand that was sturdy, collapsible, and able to use from the couch or from my racing seat. The WSP fit all these needs for me.

I would of loved the try the Rennsport Stand but was never in stock when I checked. Fear not, I still have a Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel that I use with the WSP. And I'm quite happy with the wheel. 👍

I have the WSP and it's very good.
Prompt shipping and good customer service.

I cannot comment on the other stand but the WSP is excellent.

That might likely depend on the individual user and which wheel you are using. With my DFP it isn't an issue as the gap between pedals is larger than the width of the pole and I do left foot braking. One leg on one each side and I am good.

If you have thick thighs, are using a three pedal setup, or are in an awkward seat I can see it being a problem for some.

Shmo and Spagetti69. After a while using it, can you say it's still as sturdy and stable? I'm talking especially about the adjustment screws/bolts.

Thanks.

Oh its pretty stable. It handles the strong force feedback on the Porsche TurboS wheel fine. All the adjustments lockdown tight. Although I wish it wasnt there, the pole doesnt really get in the way. I can use all 3 pedals with no problem at all.

I purchased a RSWS a couple of months ago.

  • Price: The unit was cheaper than the WSP. However, since I am using it with a G25 wheel I needed to get the shifter mount. I was not aware that the pedal stopper was needed as well. If you take into account the additional cost for the pedal stopper and shifter mount, the RSWS no longer has the advantage in pricing.
  • Service: The customer service and communication was very responsive. I only have a minor suggestion: When I first inquired about the availability of the RSWS, it was still out of stock. It would have been great if you would have proactively informed me when you have restocked, instead of me having to check back with you myself.
  • Design: I am very impressed with the design of the RSWS in terms of both functionality and aesthetics. It definitely looks a lot sharper than the WSP.
  • Construction: Very well constructed unit, I experienced no noticeable wobble during gameplay (GT5P). Adjustability was also great for my needs, I have it set up at the ideal height for my setup.
  • Recommendations: I would definitely recommend the RSWS to my friends. However, I do have a suggestion for Rennsport as well below.
  • Wheel Compatibility with G25/G27: As I mentioned before, I ordered my RSWS with the shifter adapter but NOT the pedal stopper. Right now the pedal slips off the stand after doing 1 lap. IMO, Rennsport should offer a separate package that includes both the shifter adapter AND pedal stopper with the RSWS for G25/G27 users, especially considering the large user base of these wheels. Now I am stuck in the position where it does not make sense for me to purchase the pedal stopper due to the additional shipping cost which I would have saved if I had ordered it with my initial order.

All in all, I think the RSWS is a very well designed and built product. Assembly was straight forward, and the construction is very solid. The only complaint I have would be on the marketing/pricing aspect of the product as I pointed out above.

My Wheelstand Pro Deluxe arrived last week. I set it up with my G27... I have no regrets. The stand is awesome, convenient, stable, well made... its the perfect companion for a casual sim racer. GT5p is a whole new game for me (the Wheelstand Pro arrvied a day after my G27 - i've never used a force feedback wheel before).

I can't wait for GT5
