When on earth are we gonna get some half decent content and not the mediocre fun pack we got

Off-road driving belongs in PC2 for the simple reason that the simulation feels better than something like the critically acclaimed DiRT Rally, in my opinion. Just saying after reading some of the discussion on page 2... No doubt that SMS took a chance in looking beyond the asphalt, but it paid off in a way I didn't imagine when first announced. But again, the Fun Pack could have been better.

Some slight tweaking here and there it becomes certainly playable and enjoyable with a controller. You won't have the feel of a wheel but you can still tell when you get over the limit and what you need to change in your setup or driving style to combat any mistakes that you make.

Indeed. I'd like to add that SMS deserves some credit for making adjustments to the controller settings very user friendly. Specifically, the basic descriptions for each variable help considerably in getting the input values more or less into the right ballpark from the get go, as opposed to wasting precious time dialing in values through trial and error. I wouldn't mind having the same privilege in AC whenever I forget what "steering gamma" does.

Cant wait for the Porsche and Ferrari dlc.

I just hope it has the 512 M or S, Ferrari F50 and hopefully an Ferrari F1 car namely the F2004 would do.

I'm also hoping for a 512M or S. I hope they focus on cars which compete with other cars already in the game or in other DLC packs. For example a 712 to compete with the Can Am Porsche (rumoured for the Porsche DLC). At the moment the Aston Martin DBR1/300 and Mercedes-Benz 300 SL are both in solo classes so hopefully those get Porsche and Ferrari competitors. I don't know if they can put in competitors in the F1 class for licensing reasons, but if so, the Lotus 25 is one of the most enjoyable cars to drive so the 1962 French GP winning Porsche driven by Dan Gurney would be nice. Also the V6 Ferrari F1 which dominated the 1961 season in the hands of Phil Hill and Taffy Von Trips or John Surtees 1964 Championship winning car or even the 12 cylinder car from the end of the 1.5 litre formula. One can hope and dream!

Well I say let's hope in the DLC thread and let this one get buried in page 2.
Not trying to suppress any opinions by being reticent, this thread has a negative influence on our positive DLC thoughts of the future.

Just give me these old cars and this track I'm happy. The car that killed Can-Am
Glorious:eek:. Was there many times when I was younger. I got a chance to drive a mod version of Mosport in AC and it was fantastic. Can't imagine how great it would be as an original track.

I used to have an old AFX slot car set with that car. Bought all kinds of the others. Part of my childhood back in early 70's. Yes my dad and I used to go all the time to Mosport. Great old memories of those beasts.

Forgive me If I miss heard but wasn' there a mention of Brazilian Stock cars coming to the game at somepoint?

I know Interlaken has been mentioned for a long time now.

Maybe I misheard, but I do remember a slight mention of it.

I read back through the thread a few days ago. It was an event at a BSC race. Anything coming was purely speculative.

They made with "Fun Pack" and "Le Mans pack" a good selection of cars, but tracks, gee, are reworked tracks that could be in the game, or at least could be sold together with a new or more interesting one, and "Porsche pack" with Leipzig, no one asked for it, (by Kyalami ) well, let's take a tranquilizer and go to sleep dreaming with Interlagos and Susuka at the end of the year, and next year, Sebring and Macau with a second season pass.. lol!

You'll be dreaming for a long time re. Suzuka and Sebring. Suzuka's license was prohibitively expensive and Sebring is a non-starter.

As per my other reply to your same points, the Le Mans Circuit will be a very popular choice and the fact that it isn't scanned (for obvious reasons!) does not reduce the cost of developing it, from the artwork side (which is still a laborious and expensive process). When it come to Leipzig, instead of complaining that nobody asked for it, how about getting excited for a track that has never been licensed in a sim before? Why not try driving and racing on it before writing it off? :)

I get it, you're not happy with the DLC content thus far. Personally, I haven't touched the fun pack content except for taking screenshots and taking part in a couple of the community events. Rallycross isn't my thing, I prefer tarmac but I don't make a fuss about it, I just play with all the other cars and tracks instead. The Porsche pack is far more my cup of tea. Some great looking cars and a circuit I've never had the chance to race on. Bring it on.

I am surrounded by people conformed on all sides, who play by the side of the company and not themselves, in what world did we stop? DLCs, season pass, microtransactions with mediocre content and people seemingly happy about it, i'm going back to sleep..

As per my other reply, if you don't want to pay for additional content, then don't pay for it. Nobody is forcing you to buy these extra cars and tracks. If you think this stuff should be free, you need to understand that developing cars and circuits cost money, not just the licensing but the development and it's the development side that is often the most expensive.

Some people are vehemently opposed to DLC, nothing wrong with that but suggesting that this content should either be free or included in the base game is just daft. Additionally, "mediocre" is subjective, given that a lot of people have a lot of fun with it - the league I race with is running a mini-season with the RallyX content and a lot of the members have had an enormous amount of fun with it. For the amount it cost, I only need to have had a couple of hours fun to have made it worthwhile and, in all honest, even with the 2 community events and screenshot time, I'd say I have.

And stop with the "conformed" nonsense. You know, it's perfectly possible for people to like something for no other reason than they just bloody like it.

I haven’t been blown away with the DLC either, but I knew there was a chance of that happening when I purchased the season pass.

SMS even released their DLC plans so it’s not like anyone that bought the season pass post release is completely blind, we know what the themes are at least. That’s something that can’t be said for most developers.

I paid the season pass of this game, Assetto Corsa also, besides several mods, since i bought the game for PC too, i bought all Raceroom tracks and cars, i do not want anything simply for free, but i believe that i and some people want content more interesting to buy, yes, i know how much it costs, for the price, i think it was not worth, i think they could have offered something better, in this specific case, it was a lottery and i lost, if they offer some interesting content in the future, i buy without blinking.
