True, but a line must be drawn somewhere. Remember, this is not a professional simulator made for a specific racing team who need inch-perfect replicas of its cars for training. It is a game targeting both casual and hardcore demographics, a balance of variety and accuracy would be recommended.
Only one or two cars? For someone who likes cars in general, that's quite the understatement, in fact, there are quite a few great automotive manufacturers missing from this list, as stated by other posters, like the one you quoted.
Another thing about PCARS' list, some cars are quite lonesome in their class. Liveries alone don't cut it for me. Racing championships gain more popularity when variety of machinery is present. The WEC is a fine example of this.
This, pretty much. PCARS' amount (for release) isn't bad, but the content is somewhat lacking.
Not exactly. You see, PCARS doesn't make you race for prizes like XP or cash or unlocking new cars. Everything is available to you from the beginning. There's no need to win anything to see all the content the game has to offer. You could say this is one of those games in which, literally, it's not the winning but the taking part that's the most important.
Not wanting to bring other games into this discussion, but allow me to say a few things in response here: Driveclub can't be compared to PCARS. PCARS focuses more on race cars, Driveclub more on road cars. PCARS focuses more on track (as in proper racing facility) racing, Driveclub focuses more on road-racing (racing on closed public roads). With regards to road cars Driveclub demolishes PCARS, same thing goes for its impressive public roads to race on (PCARS only has 2 locations of this kind compared to Driveclub's 6).
