Where does Watkins Glen rank for you in the GT7 track lineup?

I think it may be my favorite real life track in the game. Not a single slow speed Mickey Mouse corner. A fair amount of elevation change and depending upon the car a few high speed corners that can be taken full throttle if you line them up just right.

Definitely NOT my favorite route... there is a completely different one that I like much better. But maybe in the top 5... but in any case in the top 10. I would like to mention Watkins, for example. would not like to drive with Gr4 as much as I drive with Gr3. Gr2 should be even more interesting there. For Gr1 I would find the route probably bisl too "close".

Brands Hatch GP is still my favourite and go-to for a quick spin in any race car, but WG is definitely up there with Interlagos, Spa and Suzuka.

My favorite quick spin track especially for all these new classic cars is Alsace. It's like it was purposefully designed for small light weight high powered cars with loose suspension.

Still learning the last sector in terms of when you can and can't put the pedal down as it can be a little frustrating but it's certainly a welcome new track, the lighting and scenery is very impressive. Monza, Spa and Fuji will always be my go to though alongside Deep Forest for when I just want to take a random road car for a spin.

Somewhere on the subtop.
Top tracks:
Nurburgring
Spa
Silverstone 😭
Then prob Glen

Edit: Monaco should also be in this list

It's a completely new track for me and since I have yet to race it properly I can't make a final judgement, but I think it could provide some great racing :)

The Glen has always been one of my favorite tracks to watch races at. NASCAR and IMSA had a lot of great racing there in the 90s, as well as some hideous crashes (JD McDuffie/Jimmy Means, Tommy Kendall, Johnny O'Connel/Steve Millen) so getting to drive on it myself in GT7 is a treat.

I didn't think I would enjoy it, but it's an awesome mix of speed and challenge, I like it more than any of the GT original tracks in GT7 but less than the f1 tracks

Won't commit to a "top X track" comment but it's really good. I especially love the chicane and how much you can push through there, I thought it'd be an awful one like Daytona.

I would rate it as A tier for me, as it has a good mix of power track and technical track (60/40).

The S tier belongs to Spa, then Glen, Laguna Seca, Interlagos and Catalunya are A tier

Brands Hatch
Nordschleife
Laguna Seca
Spa Francorchamps
Tsukuba
Fuji
Autopolis
Suzuka
Red Bull Ring
Watkins Glen
La Sarthe
Mount Panorama
Monza
Daytona Road
Goodwood
Nürburgring GP
Interlagos
Catalunya
Willow Springs

I tend to rank my tracks by most time spent driving on them, and how well they work with a variety of cars. WG currently sits at spot number one for the reason of being my most used track currently, it also seems to be a track that works well with different cars and tune setups. However as the rose tinted glasses will eventually fade, reasonably I can see the track sitting around spot rank #3 in the future. It is easily one of my favourite tracks since watching NASCAR races held there as a kid.

I’ll never understand the Silverstone love. If you’re from England I guess I get it, but the track is boring as hell. Tons of history, but it’s always been my least favorite track in F1 games.
My point being PD introduced a totally new track when they already had two classic tracks that were previously in the game. Yes, Silverstone is a bit "meh' but I love Motegi. Not mention it also gives another oval track for those that only know how to turn left ;-)

In terms of real world tracks, Laguna Seca first, Daytona Road course second, Watkins Glen Third.

My only reasoning is Watkins Glen's pretty neglected with racing, and it being a former F1 track in America, I'm surprised it's still able to land anything.

Gosh 61 to 89 as the US F1 track.

Seems to have a decent amount of races/series there still. Nascar being the main one.

kjb
I like the Glen it is probably top 10 for me with Laguna Seca being my favorite track
Yes LS is thr track ive clocked up most time on so far in gt7. It just flows so well. Spend hours hotlapping it the other day, half expecting to get bored, but just kept going and going :D

I'm not really ranking the the real world tracks, I look at the game as a tool set, cars & tracks are the tools,
the game started with a lot of missing tools, each real world car or track added as dlc helps to complete the set.

Nailing turns 2, 3 and the final turn for a fast exit at Watkins Glen is very good feeling, and turn 4 to a lesser extent. Turn 1 can be tricky to master. But got nothing on Brands Hatch turn 1

Nailing Paddock Hill Bend is one of the best thrills, especially in multiplayer when a lot of others are off in the gravel or slowly creeping around

Doing a lot of free riding with road cars, Watkins Glen is in my top 4, together with Brands Hatch, Autopolis and Barcelona.
These tracks are also enjoyable for small cars to and have no boring sections.
Still missing in this list for me is Autumn Ring (Reverse) (as only fantasy track).

I'd put it top 5 at the moment, but I don't know how long it'll keep me entertained for. Time will tell. Maybe if I can work out how to enter the pits without getting a penalty EVERY TIME I might like it more...

Don't touch the line at all. Enter ASAP. Works for me.
