1.The Panoz Esperante, though its tough to drive it, sounds really good, doesnt sound like it did in GT3.
2.The Gillet Vertigo, another really tough car to drive, but sounds awesome.
3.The red Camaro IROC concept, is my fave car sound in the game, it sounds wicked.
4.The Nissan R92CP, sounds awesome
5.Viper SRT10, sounds like a beast.
6.The Shelby Cobra
7.TVR Griffith 500
8.I also like the sound of the "bug" Volkswagon Beetle.

KLR142
Audi A3 3.2Quattro with stock exhaust if no one has said it yet... And unlike many other cars in the game, it still sounds good after you rev it up past 3krpm.

Hmm....never thought a A3 would sound EXACTLY like a Honda NSX including the VTEC sound :dunce: :dunce: 👎

I loooooooove the sound of the theese cars....
ahem....

The Gt-r Pace Car,
The Honda S-500 and
The Honda Life Step Van (with racing muffler, turbo, etc.)
Oh, and the Plymouth Barracuda 440 :dopey:

They are soooooo good, mmmmmmm, yummy! :)

The full black F1, the looks make it sound better! :)

I like the rally Bluebird 510/Datsun 510 sound, it just gets me going! 👍

I hate the V8's with any purchased pipe, just not right!

absolutly correct on the v8 with purchased pipe. the people at pd obviously have never
heard a big block 427 ford v8 w/ the headers uncorked. totaly blew that sound. also the
c5r sound nothing like it does in real life. do they have somthing against good 'ole american
v8's. cobra was so bad i put the stock exaust back on it and turned the stereo way up.

The best sounding Le Mans Prototype is the Playstation Pescarolo C60. It just sounds so much better than the rest. The 787B has an awesome howl that no other car in the game has.

The Formula GT still sounds like a cross between an F1 Car and a mosquito, but it still sounds great, especially in replays with multiple FGTs.

The Viper SRT-10 sounds like a sledgehammer, ready to smash something :dopey:

The SLR has a weird sound, but I like it anyway. However I noticed that the sound the SLR makes when I'm driving it sounds different when an AI opponent drives it.

The best sounding car? well to be honest it can get hard to tell sometimes becase of the road noise you get in the game but i think i have found a gem!

The Nismo Skyline S-Tune, I have one fully tuned and i found that if you accellerate in 3rd gear from pretty much a standstill you hear the bost build up quote loudly then all of a sudden it picks up and the turbo really sings and the car has a throaty roar! i was shocked when i heard it cos it sounds like a savage beast abouts to rip ur head off! Scary and Wonderfull at the same time! :)

Hmmm, this is a bit difficult to tell because a lot of these cars sound great. :D

But honestly, the Cobra has one of the best sounds I've heard for a road car. I mean, it just spells MEAN BRUTAL HORSEPOWER. Let me remind you though that this is with the Stock exhaust. The Racing exhaust sounds too racey. :sly:

Another car to mention is the Skyline Pace Car with the Racing exhaust. Awwww. That sounds mean. You shift just before the redline and the sound of the car then is just amazing.

Here are other cars that have really great sounds

Nissan R92CP
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (stock exhaust)
Ford GT-40
Mazda 787B

There are many more to name, but I can't think of any because as of now I'm inthe middle of the 24h Nurburgring race (almost 13 hrs in) :)

I haven't tried all the cars in the game yet (I'm at about 85 % now), but up to now the best sounding car I've encountered is definitely the NSX-R Concept '01 (with standard of sports muffler). I reeeeaaaalllllyyyy love the noise that makes :P

Mazda 787B: no match for that howling
Plymouth 'Cuda: good ol' V8
Pescarolo C60 '04: just sounds good
Toyota 88C-V: the weird rattling sound on high revs, what is it?

How could you possibly pick one car's sound over another in GT4......??
Most of them sound exactly the same. :yuck:

Leonidae: I can't listen to those on the computer I'm using at the moment, but would the 787B happen to sound like a crazy, wailing train whistle? 'Cause that's what it sounds like in Enthusia...'tis an eerie sound... :D

The Nissan R92-CP and the other LMP one, I've forgot the name. If not those two then either the Toyota GT-1, AC/Shelby Cobra or the Mazda 787B.

I don´t know if this thread is dead, but, the Mazda RX8 Concept LM Race Car...
I love that "whoooooooouuuuuuiiiiiiiiiccchhhhhhhhh"-sound in the background. :)

well.. imo, it sounds a bit like minigun or such, only sharper and more high-pitched. and the sound at idle gives me the chills :scared:

you gotta try to see it some time.. that thick, sharp burbling sound that's bit like BRAP BRAP BRAP BRAP BRAP BRAP.. and when on full chat, the wail of the engine when it's doing a flyby.. :embarrassed: oh my, i think i made a mess..

Actually, I was at school that day, and when I got home I checked out some 26B sound clips for myself, so I've heard it.... :D

Indeed, the "blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub..." at idle, and the smooth, sharp, wailing while revving and driving......

The wailing was just as I had heard before, in Enthusia, but the idle was new. "Hmm..." I thought. So I went into Enthusia, left the 787B at idle, and cranked up the TV volume... "blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub-blub..." :D

After that I compared the sounds of the real and Enthusia 787Bs to the sounds of the GT4 787B...GT4 just sort of tries to imitate the noises using a more generic engine sound, and it isn't very convincing...

i think the escudo sounds great. it sounds more like a muscle car at low rpms right before the turbo kicks in.

Try buying a level 3 exhaust (rc) for the Viper SRT10. Sounds awesome and very loud. I always crank up the volume when im driving this car.
