RouWa
The Isle of Man track. It is about as long as the Nordschleife.

its 38 miles iirc.

Are any of these american tracks you are saying ovals? Cos if so, down with theme đź‘Ž

Ryosuke_Gumna
All Japanese Track (Maze Circuit, Ebisu Circuit, Sugo, etc.)

:D

Oh yea, I've been waiting for a chance to go all Best Motoring in GT. GT4 satified the urge for a while but with all these tracks and better AI.....

Bathurst: Best thing the Australians have ever built, short of the Falcon GTHO and the current HSV Clubsport R8. As mentioned before, if PD include Bathurst they should make the Bathurst 100 Aussies only, maybe a historic race and a more modern race.
I'd love to be able to have the Toranas and GTHOs and Monaros in a historic race, and then race the early 90s stuff like the R32 GTRs vs Sierra Cossies vs current V8 Falcons and Commodores. See what comes out on top.

Pukekohe: If only to see a NZ track in GT4.

Queenstown Race to the Sky: If they're going to include Pikes Peak, PD could have this too. Please.....

Simpel

F1 tracks, DTM tracks and some

and all the other tracks everybody is wishing for đź’ˇ

oh, im not sure i put it im my last post, i know i posted it in the GT4 forum....i really want the old NĂĽrburgring.....the full course with the old start point, Nordschleife and Sudschleife.....total heaven for me if they did that.......especially if they include F1 cars from the 50s and 60s.....

I wanna see Mantorp Park (racetrack and dragstrip), Anderstorp and the Indianapolis dragstrip. đź‘Ť

FWA2500
yuck...no more ovals please.....lol

Well, I think a couple more ovals would be ok so long as they were 'different' ovals, like triangular or something. Not all the NASCar tracks are the same, but they're all ovals.

I want some good courses that are built on old air strips, like the Top Gear track. I don't have any other examples, but I like that sort of small time racing. It would also be nice if they had a weay to leave them relatively open, no retaining walls, so you could see cars all over the track. Woo!

Still want the ability to make tracks.

I would like :
Daytona (road course)
Sebring
Road Atlanta
Indy Speedway (f1 course)
Long Beach
Watkins Glen
Silverstone
Monza

TVR&Ferrari_Fan
I want to See Thruxton (Fastest track in UK) and Goodwood.

Well goodwood could replace Tsukuba đź‘Ť

But thruxton would take about45 seconds in a 200mph car :nervous:

Some great ideas have come up here so far, heres what I think:

Sudschlife
Nuburgring GP circuit with an option to connect to the Nordschlife
Isle of Man
Road America
Targa Florio although I'm not sure which version as there have been countless iirc.
Older versions of Le Mans
Top Gear and Fifth Gear test tracks
Pikes Peak

Thats all I can think of now.

I'm a huge NASCAR fan, but even I have to admit ovals in the Gran Turismo series tend to be boring. Max out HP, minimize drag, run away & hide. Wipe hands on pants if necessary.

That said, one of the best races I had in GT3 was in my Calsonic Skyline against a bunch of other JGTC cars on Test Course. I didn't bother to tune the car for all out speed. In fact, I left the setup from the previous road course on the car. The result was a drafting battle that was decided with a last second pass at the line. The margin of victory was in the hundredths.

The point of this ramble is this: if they would just put some restrictions on what you can do with your car setup-wise on the ovals to keep you from giving the AI a pants-down spanking, they would be more fun. THEN I'd like to see Talladega or Daytona included. But, as already noted, EA probably has that tied up.

Watkins Glen and the dearly departed Riverside would be fun, as would the Cleveland airport course.

All of Ebisu's courses
A random generating Autocross course (or just a bunch of different kinds..)
Pikes Peak
Seika Hills
and...thats all i can think of...

why not have;

all JGTC tracks
all ALMS tracks
all F1 tracks (expanding on the F1 cars and such)
all DTM tracks

and if you're gonna' have all the league tracks
why not have a majority of the cars and if you're
gonna' have a majority of the cars, why not have
race classes and such like in JGTC, 500 and 300 or
whatever the classes are?

I would definitely love to see Long Beach since that's the only real track I've been to, plus any more f1 tracks would be awesome.

An idea I just got though, that maybe since the PS3 will have so much more power, there could be a rally-style endurance race across the desert like the Baja 500/1000, for instance. It could be a huge expansive desert that wouldn't need too much detail, and you could have a navigator and try to choose your own path.
IVAN STEWART!!

I would be yet another person who would like Road America. its practicaly in my back yard and i have raced go carts on that track. im glad to see that im not the only one who knows of the track hehe.

And on the Nascar tracks. Talladega, Bristol, Lowes Motor Speedway, Walkins Glen, Darlington. yes the first 3 and the 5th one are ovals but they all have differnt configurations, and with the way gt game developmint is going, they all could be very tough - talladega. thats just fun. the short tracks (bristol and martinsville) could be a challenge without dammage as well. though with only 6 cars on the track.... i hope thay add more apponents for the races, just cause itd add more realism to an racing event.

Drift Tracks, and Drifting in general. i know you can set up cars to drift i gt 4 but there are no events specifically designed for drift racing.

Pukekohe... played it in TOCA Race Driver 2, but I cannot pronounce it!

Talladega, are you nuts? Well, Talladega used to be used for high-speed testing back in the 1960s and 1970s, but no. Many of us will say that we don't need to make an internationally-focused game and spoil it with yet another oval. So no.

I'm going to agree with Brands Hatch. The Brands Hatch Indy course is a nice, compact circuit with good speeds. The Grand Prix course still seems a bit fast, but pretty technical. If Vision Gran Turismo is any indication, imagine an a series complete with over 20 touring cars racing around Brands Hatch (either configuration).

I mentioned Australia in my last post, but I wouldn't mind a few other countries represented. First is Africa. Kyliami is a technical course. It has a nice rhythm to it, so it's no wonder Formula One used to race this course. GTPlanet member Johnny is a pretty great person, part of Brazilian Stock Car, or as I called it, BTM (Brazilian Tourenwagen Meisterschaft) since the cars kind of look like DTM racers. Brazil is perhaps the South American cradle of great racing, and it would really do Brazil proud to include some great Brazilian venues like Interlagos or something represented.

Those a few more ideas from yours truly, the craziest Texan on GTPlanet, John.

Man, you're totally right! :)đź‘Ť
I wouldn't say I LOVE YOU but I really like what you've said! ^^"

I hope GT5 will have more ovals. I'm tired of the same one they've been using since as long as I can remember. :/

no more ovals.....please...... unless its the old Monza oval as part of the track that would be fine....but please oh please no nascrap ovals.......

leave super speedway as thats part fo the Twin Ring complex (dump one part and you must dump the whole complex.....).....i dispise ovals so i guess you could say im more than biased...lol....

maybe Brno in CZ? i really want these 4 still....Brands Hatch, Zandvoort, Sudschleife, Monza....

(:

Willow Springs International Raceway (WSIR), Including-
-WISR main circuit
-Streets of Willow
-Horse Thief Mile
-The Balcony (small AutoX/Gymkahana and Drift track)

WSIR would be awesome because it's one of the few tracks that GT really makes sense on. In one afternoon, I've seen 240Zs, Miatas, MR2s, Corvettes, GT-spec racing Porsches, Radical SR3s, and an F40, all on the same track. It's a public track, and therefore is perfect for capturing the spirit of the early parts of GT.

Buttonwillow. Another track that fits in that aforementioned category, and also hosts international time trials. Sort of America's Tsukuba.

Finally, if there is to be another oval, it has to be Indianapolis. It's arguably the world's most famous oval track, and would be able to host everything from open-wheel cars to Stock cars.

Nardo would be nice as well, for top speed and other tests, on its outlying courses. Sort of a new Complex String.

Oh, also, as it's now part of the Super GT season, the California Speedway road course. With this done, its oval could be added as well.

Sepang is also worthy of addition, for the same reason.

Macau GP track. they made an inexistant & un-phun HK track but not the famous Guia street Circuit, like wtf?
I've been waiting for a game to create this track. Hopfully GT5 will do it!

For GT originals, I would like to see Grindelwald , GT1's R11, GT2's Motorsport Land, and Rome Night back... those were phun to drive in.
