Which real life tracks do you want to see in GT5?

It's hard to think of a track that hasn't been mentioned before, but it all depends on the direction Polophony wants to go. Personally I'm a fan of aal the touring cars in GT4. It would be nice to have all these championships in GT5 with the cars and the tracks. Japanese GT Championship, BTTC, DTM, V8 supercars, American LeMans, WTCC etc. It would be the ultimate Touringcar racer. If Polyphony isn't going in that direction, I hope Codemasters will with the touringcar series.

If I have to mention one track I would love to see in GT it would be Croft (UK). It was in the original Toca TouringCars game and I still love it.

Maybe he can put in a highway with six lanes, going from city to city or maybe he could put in "route 66"

I would like to as many of the worlds all time great tracks in GT5. The new modern tracks just dont cut it for me. I much prefer the older Fuji tracks over the 2005 gT version for example.

I would love to see

Brand Hatch GP circuit
Daytona
Monza
Spa Francorchamps
Silverstone GP circuit
Imola (origional without crappy chicanes)
Melbourne GP
Old Hockenheim GP
Sebring

Don't care much for the fantasy tracks so would be happy to see them go.

Some real world point to point rally stages would be great too.. Col de Turini (Monte Carlo) for example

Top Ten:

Mugello Circuit (the MotoGp version)
the old Mugello Street Circuit 60km long with 2 mountain pass.
Spa.
Pikes Peak
Silverstone Race to Sky
Akagi Mountain Pass
Brands Hatch
Watkins Glenn
Monza
Hockenheim old

The Macau track is one of the toughest in the world. It's perhaps the Asia-Pacific's version of Monaco (running this weekend) in terms of a tough, tight street course. I think that if some gamers don't like Hong Kong (GT4), they probably will dislike Macau even more. You know me, though. I don't mind a street course challenge. This one has a wide backstretch, then it narrows down to 2 and 3 lanes of city streets. Formula 3, touring cars, and even motorcycles race this track in the annual Macau Grand Prix.

But if you want an Asian street course that's also a nice challenge, ever hear of Changwong, South Korea? GT4 had the short, yet fast Seoul Circuit, but Changwong is a pretty nice South Korean street course. I don't know if we have any Koreans on GTPlanet, so I don't know how some of the Koreans would respond to seeing Changwong in GT5.

Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant was raced on this past Saturday by the Rolex Sports Car series. The setting at that track is BEAUTIFUL! They race in Quebec on a track that's tougher (in my view) than the ALMS's Mosport. Much worse, there was rainy conditions at the 6-hour race at Mont-Tremblant. It is spring, but the setting at Mont-Tremblant has a fall appearance to it. Plus, it was pretty cold there too. Nice track.

I can only think of two great tracks that Polyphony should add to GT5. Thay are Belgium's Spa and British Isle of Mann. Especially Isle of Mann would be great cause it is very fast. I think.
I saw the Isle of Mann motorcycle race once on Eurosport and it looked so mad. Though I'm not sure if it was even that race, since I was like 10 years old when I saw it.

i agree the Sudschleife (the southern loop) would be nice, but very unlikey, as theres really no circuit left now to capture the data from. some of its been broken up, some turned into normal roads and some converted into access roads :(

I would like to see the true Nurgburgring 24 hour enduro featuring the combination track of the GP curcuit and the Norschleife together.

a few others too:

Castle coombe (GB)
Thruxton (GB)
Mallory Park (GB)
Old GP track at Riems (FR)
Manx TT (Isle of Man)

Rally stages: Sahara enduro, Sutton Park (GB) from the old Lombard Rally, with classic rally cars. Catalunya Road Rally (ESP).

And for a laugh, the Birmingham Grand Prix curcuit (GB)

I believe I read somewhere (last year) that the (some of them) PD crew was seen at Donington, Hockemheim, Nürnburgring GP and some others. This could be a "sign" that these tracks will make it GT5!!!

(Post #72 by "Kikie") I wonder which Hockenheim will be used. The one before Tilke, or the one after Tilke? In one way, I tend to agree. I'm not sure, but in terms of the Gran Turismo series, there has NEVER been a track in a Gran Turismo game from the United Kingdom. Why should you care? The UK is chock full of racing talent from club racers to all-out pros. The British make Bentley (featured in GT4) won Le Mans five times in the first 10 years of the Le Mans endurance, then later won again in 2003. Derek Bell won Le Mans five times, even in the year I was born (1983). I'm telling you. The United Kingdom needs to be represented in Gran Turismo with a track good enough to satisfy all tastes. I think Brands Hatch is a pretty historic track in British motor racing. I'd personally like to see Goodwood represented. In fact, there should be a rally course and a circuit race for this place. The circuit would be where the Goodwood Revival is raced, and the Goodwood hillclimb would make the tarmac rally. Who knows? Maybe you'll be able to do some drifting if you wanted to with the hillclimb event. Donnington Park is a great choice too, a tricky left-right-left type race track. You can't forget the challenge of Silverstone either. I don't know about Wales and Scotland for track ideas, so I'll leave that up to you native Europeans and British Isles folk.

Nationalities that have been fully represented in at least one GT game includes America, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, and Korea. When I say "fully represented," I mean auto manufacturer and track. So for example, America is fully represented since you have American car companies, and tracks like Seattle and Sears Point (to name a few) can be raced on. Japan has so many companies, and many Japanese courses to boot. I really think Australia and Great Britain need to be represented more with some British courses to tickle the fancy of British GT gamers alike. Brazil also needs to be represented even though there are no Brazilian car companies I know of. Or if I'm wrong, set me straight.

Sportsland SUGO
Ebisu Circuit
Honda Safety & Riding Plaza Kyushu
Buttonwillow Raceway Park
Road Atlanta
BeaverRun Motorsports Complex

Mt Panorama, Aust
Spa, Belgium 1960 1990 (old long track and shorter new one but with proper bus stop chicane)
Monza, Italy 1970, 1980, 1990
AVUS, Germany
Zandvoort, The Netherlands
Aida, Japan
Eastern Creek, Aust (new A1GP track)
Sepang, Malaysia
Road America, USA
Sandown Raceway, Aust

I would love to see:

1. the whole Nuerburgring combo (historic and F1 tracks combined/seperated)
2. more historic and/or unique tracks: Spa (may be old version?), Isle of Man
3. Bring on the Brits: Brands Hatch, Silverstone (at least)
4. Vive la France: Paul Ricard, Le Castellet
5. More tracks ''Amalfi style'', no room for error, to be used for all cars.
6. A Track Editor to create my own circuit, including elevation changes!

I'd like to see more tracks from all over the world. Bathurst "Mt Panorama" (austrailia?) is a gorgeous track with some very nice elevation changes.

Buttonwillow and maybe some other tracks in the US, and UK would be cool for those of us who've driven on them on track days..

If the physics are better, maybe some cooler Rallying tracks.

I think many of us can agree that Bathurst would be a great challenge for the GT series. I think Australia needs to be better represented anyways, so I think PD makes the most of it. I'd also include Adelaide, Surfer's Paradise, and even Sandown. Bottom line, the Australian V8 Supercars are amazing race machines from their sweet roar all the way down to their tracks across Austalia and New Zealand.

OK, here's my list, starting with a track I have always wanted to drive, and then in no specific order after that.

1. Spa Francorchamps

2. Silverstone

3. Brands Hatch

4. Bathhurst

5. Donnington Park

6. Road Atlanta

7. Nurburgring Sudschliefe

7b. Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit (it's already modeled in GT4, you can see it when youre at the start/finish on the Nordschleife)

8. Targa Floria!!! (do some reasearch, you'll like this one)

9. Long Beach

10. Macau Street race circuit

11.Sebring

12. Road America

13. Mid Ohio

14. Indianapolis (road course and box oval)

15. The crazy elevation test track from Motorvision

16. Complete Papenburg test facility

17. Paul Ricard

18. Original Watkins Glen

19. Old Monza with the banking

20. Brooklands original 5 turn oval

Gunma Cycle Sports Park! Name's a bit wierd, but anyone who watches the Best Motoring series will know it, it's the location of all the "touge showdown" races. It'd be perfect for GT, as it's a touge circuit!
