Which real life tracks do you want to see in GT5?

I heard of "the Isle of man" on topgear , but I still don't know what it is exactly. Isn't is just an Island??

its just some really long curvy and sometimes pretty twisty set of roads that also have some very nice scenery that could show off the PS3's hardware. :)

I'd like to drive the Isle in the rain.

FreeThinker has a good list going there. I'd definitely like to see Road America, Mid Ohio, and Road Atlanta. Lime Rock would be fun too.

Bathhurst looks the business, too.

Don't forget Monza, Italy, which is one of the fastest circuits in the worlds, where Pizzonia reached 369 kmh on his formula 1 williams bmw last year...

What's the deal with you all and extremely long tracks? I always wondered that.

Road Atlanta is in Forza Motorsport, and I've raced it in "Le Mans 24 Hours" on the PS2, then "Sports Car GT" on the PC. The track is so balanced. The turns consist of semi-technical corners, nice straights, and the ever popular Esses. The track is a test of your suspension and top speed. You have one tough American track (Sears Point), why not another? If GT5 will have 20 to a track, there's another American track that can fit those 20- Lime Rock Park. Lime Rock Park is in Connecticut and is my idea of a short track. The configuration almost seems like an oval, just a pretty simple-looking track.

Now on to Japan. I raced TI Circuit Aida in "Jarrett and LaBonte Stock Car Racing" (good game, bad name) and Sugo in the same game. TI Circuit Aida is a somewhat long, technical circuit. It is a sweet course to race on, and will greatly suit the JGTC race cars, as it's been a JGTC/Super GT venue. I believe Sugo also is still a JGTC venue. Sugo is a bit different and not really challenging.

I'm not trying to come up with a world of tracks, but these are suggestions I have. For now, I think we can all agree on Bathurst. Why Bathurst? It's the toughest and most prestigious course in Australia. The course really puts you to the test. There are some easy-flowing straights, but most of the rest of the track is technical turns ready to beat up your car's suspension and wear out your brakes. And, oh yeah, it's fun too! (^_^)

Ah, yes. I remember Aida from Formula 1 on the PS1. In fact, when I (somehow) get bored with GT4, I plan on going back to play it, just for the tracks. Aida was one of my top five favorites from that game. I believe someone has mentioned Adelaide as well. This was also on Formula 1 during its last season on the circuit. IMO, it was the most fun out of all the tracks excluding Monaco.

I'd like to see my two home state tracks, Burke Lakefront Airport and Mid-Ohio.

Other than those two, I'd also like:
1. Indianapolis (road course and oval)
2. Nurburgring (GP circuit, long circuit(Nordschliefe and GP combined))
3. Daytona (road course and super speedway)
4. Streets of Long Beach
5. Bathurst
6. Circuit de la Satrthe (full course and Bugatti Circuit)
7. Isle of Mann
8. Road Atlanta
9. Monza
10. Bahrain GP Circuit
11. Miami (Bayfront Park and Bicentennial Park Ciruits)

Of those that haven't been mentioned:

Brno-the 18-mile long prewar circuit in the Czech Republic.
Clermont-Ferrand-5-mile circuit in the French mountains, nicknamed "the little Nurburgring".
Mellaha Lake-8-mile long prewar circuit in modern-day Libya. Fastest road circuit in the world in its day (if you discount AVUS, which wasn't really a proper road course).
Pescara-16-mile long circuit on Italy's Adriatic coast. Longest circuit ever used for a World Championship event.
Sachsenring-5.4 mile long circuit in eastern Germany (NOT the modern-day Tilke track).
Solitude-7.5 mile long track just outside Stuttgart, Germany. Used until 1965, it is very similar to the Nurbirgring, only a bit flatter and faster.

In England, there is a road course (with an oval section) that kind of suits the high speed crowd. While simplistic, the road course configuration of Mallory Park has some flat oval turns, but the toughest turn on track is a hairpin which leads back to the oval portion. Probably make a good club racing course.

Spa-Francorchamps would be one of the ultimate circuits to put into GT5. Imagine the 20 or so cars (you included) racing into Eau Rouge. I don't know too much about Spa-Francorchamps, but for what I do know, this is one of the world's toughest circuits. Perhaps the toughest real course in GT4 (excluding Nurburgring Nordschleife) was Suzuka Circuit. Suzuka is a pretty long race course. It was built like the main goal was to pack in as much of the track as possible, not to mention making a killer figure-8 course. If you like Figure-8 racing in Saturday Night racing events that have very little to do with actual racing, then Suzuka's Figure-8 is pretty enticing, if not tricky. The toughest turn on course is the Casio Triangle.

I think the most scenic course to include into a GT game would have to be Mont-Tremblant. From what I've seen, it is in a beautiful setting. If Mont-Tremblant was in the game, this would be the first-ever Canadian track in the series.

Post #104, that country wouldn't happen to be... England would it? And nobody answered my last question: "What's the deal with you all and extremely long tracks?"

They Need More Legendary tracks like Sebring, Indianapolis, Daytona, Spa, all the Crown Jewel tracks .

Spa - Francorchamps (old and new)

Nürburgring F1 track

Guia circuit (Macau)

Isle of Man (Mountain pass circuit)

La Sarthe with Mulsanne bump

Indianapolis (oval and road course)

Melbourne F1 street track

Long beach

And please make the Monaco circuit playable in 2-player mode

@ John BM01: at least 2 sections make the circuit challenging and unique:

first of all: Raidillon in de first section in the course after exiting eau rouge: Some kind of long stretched S on quite a steep hill. Most drivers lift the gas a little before coming on the hill crest, but it can be taken flat out. Jacques Villeneuve crashed a few times trying to take it flat.

secondly: Blanchimont corner: a long corner that one takes flat with 300+ kph. Most F1 drivers discribe it as quite scary because the circuit isn't that wide here. Michael Schumacher once described it as "a corner that always makes me squeeze my buttcheeks together" :sly:

So definetly worthwhile to put it in GT5.

You know if Polyphony snoop these threads lets hope they've noticed that there's two tracks that keep getting mentioned post after post after post:

Spa Francorchamps
Bathurst

If they were only able to fit in two extra tracks I'm sure that just about 95% of people would be satisfied with the choice of tracks (as opposed to being satisfied by only a measley two extra tracks, but that's beside the point)

Mid Ohio and Road Atlanta. I mean they race several of the cars in the game on that track. I think unless Americans make this game were looking at 50 Japanese Tracks.

Representing America, there's also been mentioning of Road Atlanta and Long Beach. If you have Forza Motorsport on your XBOX, you've probably raced Road Atlanta by now. If you have "Le Mans 24 Hours," you may have raced Road Atlanta including Petit Le Mans. Road Atlanta is one of America's premier challenges. There is something else special about the Petit Le Mans. It is the one of the world's youngest endurance races. The first PLM? 1998. You probably remember the 1998 race well if you remember a Porsche GT1 flying up into the air and eventually crashing. Road Atlanta is pretty smooth, yet tricky. Turn One can be a problem, even the turn before heading into the Esses. The Esses are pretty nice to test suspension and precise turn-in. In fact, Road Atlanta sort of seems like the northeastern end of the Nurburgring Nordschleife in the sense of the track feeling more like a rally course with all the lefts and rights in succession..

Long Beach is the oldest street course in America. It is perhaps America's answer to Monte Carlo. If you're going to have 20 cars to a track, Long Beach should be a tight fit. Long Beach isn't just a pretty track, it's also a nice technical thrill ride. Personally, I think if PD implements Long Beach, I'd sure like to race it either during sunset, or in the very late evening. You know, the skies are dark, but you can still see some light sky as the sun went down.

Road Atlanta and Long Beach are two great American circuits. They may get in, they may not. But regardless, two interesting tracks of mention. One last thing, it's better to say "Japanese" than "Japanese." Kind of offensive to call Japan that.
