Hi Gents,

I wonder if anyone could reccomend me a realy great car to use for an event that i have coming up soon.

Basically its a 500pp race and we have to use the ROAD version of any of the rally cars (yeh i know, dont ask lol)

The track is Chamonix East (snow)

the list is as follows :-

Nissan Bluebird
Mitsubishi Lancer Series
Lancia Stratos
Lancia Delta HF
Renault 5 Maxi Turbo
Ford Rs200
Peugeot 205
Peugout 206
Toyota Celica GT four
Ford Focus Series
Subaru Impreza series
Citreon C4
Suzuki Swift
Citreon Xsara

Obviously I havent got teh time or money to track down and test every one of these so if anyone thinks that one of these stands out in particular for any reason then id really appreciate a heads-up on this and if anyone can then point me in the right direction for a snow tune id also be really grateful.

Without wishing to souond rude please dont reply and just say "car choice is dependent on your driving style"........i totally understnad that but comments like that just arent helpful :)

Any ideas please folks??

Thanks in advance

You want something 4WD when rallying so that narrows it down to:

Mitsubishi Lancer Series
Lancia Delta HF
Ford Rs200
Toyota Celica GT four
Subaru Impreza series

I'd personally use a Lancer but I'd imagine the RS200 would be the best of the lot.

Being a hatemonger I would go with the RS200 or the Lancia at 500PP.:D

I'd have to 2nd Roj's comment; the lancer's are amazing on Tarmac or snow, while the RS200 has the upper hand on dirt.

If you want a RS200 but don't have one let.me know and I'll send one as I have a couple untuned extras sitting in the garage.:D
Anything to keep people out of the lancers and evos!

Pretty sure the RS200 only gets 480pp without aero don't know how much PP aero adds but i bet its still competitive.
Put a mid RPM Turbo on and the RS200 makes around 510PP (have a wing added on and its at 515PP with wing set to 5.) Same car loses 4PP with a high RPM turbo.

Thanks lads, much appreciated.

I think im going to go with the rs200, ive sent you a PM Desperado ;)

cheers

If anyone has a good snow tune for the rs200 that'd be really cool?

The RS200 seems handicapped from what I found once before, definitely a Sub or EVO if speed is your desire.

Quite hilarious how the rally shootout I'm planning is a very similar concept to this.

I automatically nominate Mitsubishi's because they're just the best :D Preferably the Evo VIII MR GSR, that's the ultimate Evo in this game (not as in speed, just the most significant). Even over the Evo IX and X.

I'd go for the older Evo you can find in the Premium Dealership just because it looks great, looks like a true rally machine and goes like stink. Failing that, the RS200.

After reading this thread I'm gonna finally tune my RS200.
The Subaru 22B is one of my favorite cars in the game, sounds like I need to compare track times between these two cars.

You missed the 205 Turbo in your list by the way. That's 4WD. But the Lancer still wins :D

You know what crossed my mind when I saw 205?

Completely forgot GT5's version is the turbo road car. :dunce:
