I use 3rd person, I would personally use cockpit, but due to the view not moving in the way of the turn its hard to use.

I use the interior view with all cars. I tried to race on the hood cam the other day, 1 lap
around the ring. no rear view. was almost kicked out of the room. lol. switched back to
interior view.

That reads like an old-timey telegram anyway, so I just thought I'd finish the job for you. :)

WOW.....I had no idea. I was just trying to keep it simple, but still get my point across.
I mean, I could have long winded and told you about not being able to see the vehicles
behind me or beside me. yada yada yada. Anyway....I will keep that in mind Peter.

Bumper because in car view in Standard cars makes me wish it was premium, since most cars I race with are Standard (i.e. Ruf).

Would use the in car view despite the above fact if it had the ability to move seat back like in other race games where i could get a better view of sides and side mirrors. Seems in car view also cuts off mirrors and you cant see much past the A-pillar anyhow. Also if you had a proper rear view mirror in Standard cars that would be nice. I don't like cutting people off or bumping into them unintentionally in not knowing someone is about to pass me.

Also wish the Hood cam had a proper tach and mirror like bumper!

Bumper view. While I admit some corners are hard to judge, you can feel all the vibrations and the attitude of the car through the steering wheel. Allows for total immersion.

The one with the whole car.:dopey: and if the car takes up too much space(for example the X10) I use the cockpit view.👍

Hood/Cockpit, For FSake Why Do People like 3rd Person:3

Wrong. Nice try though.

ques·tion/ˈkwesCHən/
Noun:
A sentence worded or expressed so as to elicit information.

In actuality, the response to the question presented was quite accurate. It also appears reasonably appropriate given the precise wording of the question itself, notwithstanding its lack of conventionally accepted punctuation. Your assessment of the nature of the post that the response given was in response to is however in and of itself quite accurate as well, although that may or may not have been the intended target of said assessment.

I personally prefer the Roof cam, followed closely behind with the Interior cam. It gives me a feel on how the track is effecting my car in terms of bumps and if I'm sliding out.

Cockpit view, or Bumper view if car is not premium.
I can't use chase cam. Feel detached and I can't catch slides as well as I can from Cockpit of Bumper.

Hood/Roof view only. Far too slow in any other viewmode. I may go cockpit if I'm just cruising round or if I have a big lead.

Usually cockpit view, but when racing competitively bumper cam. In previous GT's I liked the chase cam but it's horrible in GT5 because it's so far away from the car. I'd probably use the hood view more often but PD needs to implement a decent one first.

I use "Bumper veiw". The main reason is because this it the view I'm used to driving in since playing the original Gran Turismo on the Playstation and the following sequals 2,3 & 4. I also drove this way in Ridge Racer and countless other racing titiles. Sometimes I will switch to Cockpit view but I am slower and make mistakes judging corners. If I would use cockpit view more often I'm sure I would get better at it but it doesn't feel natural to me. It does feel more realistic but no matter what your looking at a flat screen. I tried comparing when driving my real car (everyday) and driving in cockpit view. In the real car I hardly notice the dash when driving, only for a sec when glancing down. In the game because I'm looking at flat 2D screen even if I'm concentrating on looking at what's ahead of me, my brain processes the picture on screen as a whole. I even tried playing in 3D but unfortunatley Polyphony Digital hasn't perfected that yet. In the end to me it's which way makes you enjoy driving in the game more

I use bumper view for standards.
I use cockpit view for premiums.
I use chase view for drifting.
Then I use roof view for F10,F2007, and FGT.

So I can't really answer the poll...

I use hood when I am trying to go fast
I use cockpit for realism.

I prefer hood over bumper for speed because in bumper view you can't really tell where the edge of the car is, so I end up hitting barriers or walls a lot on street circuits and such.

Bumper cam 95% of the time.

If head-tracking with the PS EYE worked in GT-Life I'd use cockpit mode most of the time.

If we could see the side mirrors a little easier in cockpit I'd use it more as well.
