The problem is that when Spank and Myself calmly entered Slick's room trying to finally put an end to the disagreements and misunderstandings, Slick ignored the requests and essentially called Spank a noob and told him to shut up and get out. We take it that Slick doesn't want to make peace.

He was definitely not angry. He entered the room with an extremely calm attitude, trying to make peace like adults. When you began to flame him and Drop 5, he became angry (quite understandably).
Talk these events over with your team mates and see what they think.

Yeah he came in with an angry tone talking very loud, constantly interrupting me. You can only expect me to offence to that. You don't want to know what my team thinks about it, im not trying to get banned hahahaha

I'm sorry slick, but you were the one being completely disrepectful. You were being the instegator. I feel you were in the wrong, and should have handled the situation in another manner. I myself have lost a lot of respect for you as a person. You have good drifting skills in this game, but your people skills are severely lacking.

These are my thoughts exactly. Slick, you also have a way of taking the story and twisting ever so slightly so that the meaning is exactly the opposite of how things actually were.
The final word on the issue is that Drop 5 wants to make peace with White Smoke Gang and put all of this in the past. We have made it quite clear on many occasions, including more recently tonight, but if you want to keep making statements saying that Drop 5 and its members are "gay" and "suck at drifting" then that is your decision and you will feel the repercussions of your decision.

Sorry man but this is a game so I actually prefer to get high and drift for fun than have proper adult conversations. It was my room so I believe he was interupting me. I don't think that's showing respect. I also believe that respect is earned though drifting in the game... not talking. You can ask my team they have never joined my room with that attitude so they never got a negative responce back.

Mopar left because he didn't want to hear this or get involved. He was in there to drift and shouldn't have been put in that position. I don't care about other teams that much sorry, im here to take care of mine and have fun. Me and mopar both show respect to each other and we respect each other for ones drifting skills, im sure mopar thinks of me the same. I have never had a problem with him. Thanks for filling my thread with this. Can I get a mod to clean this up.

Hope you guys can work this out eventually but I know how it feels to "think" you're trying hard to fix something when deep down you still have a fire of hate for that person. I don't think this will end anytime soon and I recommend both parties have a mediator who can make sure both sides have an equal chance to present their feelings... Now honestly lets drop this bull and move on. Spank and Slick don't like eachother, cool, I like both and so do others like Mopar and Twist. We'll make sure not to talk about this argument and we'll all do better. Spank and Slick are big boys guys, let them handle it when they want to and if they don't then they don't.

I agree with xdrift. I'm new to the forums and the drift community, a month and a half old to be precise. I haven't drifted with spank yet, or talked to him so I can't say how he is or whatever but I do know that it's a game. But people take it serious because its a game people devote many hours too. When I had a beef with someone on skate 3 game we settled it with a comp, one on one with no one in the room. We hated the fact that we did this but eventually someone laughed and broke the tension and once the hate was gone, we actually had more fun. I know I started it but I sucked it up because one, I hate drama, and two, I knew so many people on his team and vise versa. I left early and I know y'all don't want to talk about it anymore but I think y'all two should get in a room by yourselves and just drift and talk. It starts off bad at first but it will only get better. Just my 2 cents.

Yikes..I was feeling something like this brewing for awhile..Let's make a few truths clear: Slick(dogfightkingz) can be overly abrasive, especially when he percieves he is being disrespected. Spank(gtp_drop5) has a habit of being very passive aggressive(whether he realizes it or not), definitely w/in GTP, and I would imagine on GT5 as well. These two tendencies do not mesh well together as demonstrated by past threads, and apparently by the aforementioned encounter online. Despite what people are saying, I don't think there's any genuine effort to make peace on behalf of either party. Spank is too interested in making slick look like an uneducated kid, and slick is too determined to beat spank drifting to make him look like a trolling noob. My advice to slick is to chill, as a fellow 420er, seriously dude hakuna mattata. Life is too short to be so mad all the time, and you catch a lot more bees w/ honey than vinegar. Spank if you want to make peace, find a less direct way to do so. I can't imagine you being so dense you don't realize the amount of aggression your presence incurs amongst some parties. Why not send a PM via GTP or PSN, explaining your intentions to make peace instead of simply showing up and letting misperceptions take hold?
Not everybody has to like everybody, and I suspect these 2 are never going to like each other. So I think a drift battle will only solve part of the problem(as well as dig up a few more). But what I don't like is each encounter between you 2 only culminates in more ammuntion for your guys' little war. Both of you used this chance to squash whatever it is as a proving point for your opinion of one another, and ultimately nothing was solved. I don't think anyone else needs to comment on this matter, as taking sides only feeds fuel to the fire. I think spank and slick need to hash out whatever issues they have w/ each other alone via voice chat so there's no need to posture for an audience. This is what I'm talking about fox, this a 2 person problem. No matter how disrespectful slick may have come off, if spank truly wanted peace, he would have acted as the adult he claims to be and made it. Slick's disrespectful, Spank can be douchey, but nobody's turning the other cheek and that is the ultimate problem. I don't agree w/ everything that slick says or does, but I'm frickin 27 yrs old, I laugh it off and keep it moving. This is not a WSG vs Drop5 issue, this is a Spank vs Slick issue, and taking sides will only make it worse.
