Wow. You should leave the opinions forum alone, you're too stupid to come up with your own opinion, I'm sure you're just going with all the other "europeans laughing at us" because you think you're cool.

In other news, there's supposed to be only 135,000 provisionals in Ohio uncounted. Provided that they were all votes for Kerry (Not possible), he'd still lose by around 1,000 votes. Even the liberal media has accepted that Kerry lost. In fact, I think the only ones who haven't accepted Kerry's defeat are Kerry and Edwards.

its just the way it is. Im exactly not that kind of person that feels "cool" in any way of being a european. Im only half european anyways,

´they are laughing at america right now...so its not something I made up. And I made my oppinions. heres one "If I was an american living in the US, I wouldnt want a "war minded" (as he said himself) to be my president and to run my country. Sometimes war is neccesary, but this time it wasnt and I dont think the world can trust this man to lead this kinda of a country."

and i think its a very good one.

war on his mind

its the same thing as a war minded. "I am a president with war on my mind".

I know you are German, but your English is very good so you must be able to see the difference.

"War Minded" infers that even in a time of peace the President would be plotting to start a war.
"War on my mind" means that he acknowledges the situation that he is in 👍

Saying that he is war minded is a little unfair, and I think that is how you meant it, rather than just stating the fact that he was the President during the Iraq/Afghanistan wars.

So you'd rather the president be thinking about puppy dogs and flowers rather than what needs to be done in Iraq?

LOL, good humour...puppy dogs rule. we should like send puppy dogs over there with flowers on there head. awesome!

No, Id rather have a president that wants to solve problems other than war. In some cases war, yes, but defenetly not in this one. And defently not the reasons that Bush gave, WMDs that were never found and stuff you know and the facts that saddam works with al quaeda....

yea I thought of that. but the way he said it on tv, made it different. and he was stuttering like hell....and then said "war on my mind". but I think thers a reason why moore put that clip in the video. I think it was because he took it as "war minded", and other people too!

I know you are German, but your English is very good so you must be able to see the difference.

Im 0% german

I like how the only people who are expressing disdain for the outcome on this site don't live in this country, and by all accounts, don't matter 👍

..but i have a nice quote from neon duke about the elections outcome:

What does "the truth" have to do with the majority of people voting for Bush, other than the majority of the US truly wanted Bush to be president?

My ballot wasn't electronic. It was a paper form. Some counties in Florida don't have electricity or running water. :dopey:

Well, regardless of whether or not you agree with the particular person elected, it appears that Florida got it right this time around. Good job, guys.

Almost. The ACLU just filed a lawsuit against Dade and Broward county claiming 20,000 absentee ballots were not mailed in time for people to respond to them.

Shouldn't make a difference in the larger scheme of things... but somethings never change. :dunce:

BTW, Florida actually had a Libertarian candidate for the House. He was throughly beaten, however.

I just read that Kerry has accepted his defeat and phoned George W. Bush in the White House to congratulate him for winning the election. I just hope for Kerry it is true that he lost the election, otherwise he could be very sorry for being a little early with this action.

Cheers,

Yeah, we Floridians can make Ohio the scapegoat this time around.

Six months ago, everyone in the major media outlets figured Ohio was going to be the hot-potato state.

neon_duke
I think we should just throw every vote from Florida out. Period.

If you want to vote "Kerry/Edwards", why put your finger over the "Bush/Cheney" button at all? It's starting to look like vocal Floridians shouldn't be trusted with a hot cup of McDonald's coffee, let alone the franchise vote.

Oh, I sence more than a little jealosy over the 27 votes we get versus your single digit! Actually, you don't get it...most Floridians that vote are over 65, and their favorite pastime is to complain about anything. Heck, they'll even vote incorrectly to make a point.

lol, see I wasnt the online who said this.....

If they were getting attacked because some president sais that they have wmds, would they say yes to him and to the war on terror? dont think so.

Are you asking this just because theyre also from the middle east? Look at all the children there, they dont even know what theyre there for. Althought I think its good that theyre showing the world theyre oppinion, but theyre pretty young to know whats goin on....?

And who are "they"? The whole Indian country?

i guess they want for more years of....

You're right K_Speed, they probably want four more years of this:

Sorry for the shocking pictures, but the truth of Iraq's brutal past is shocking.

If any mod wants to remove these, feel free to do so. I just wanted K_Speed to open his eyes.

How old are those pictures? How much time passed before America 'intervened'?

The date is at the top...yes we should have done something in 1990. But how slow and impotent is the UN. Unilateral action is frowned upon yet everyone agrees something should have been done, and remember, this is only a fraction of the horror that occured there under Saddam

A hell of a lot less time than passed before the UN 'intervened' - oh, wait, the UN never did 'intervene'.

So, yet again, America is simultaneously wrong for doing something too soon and for not doing the same thing soon enough. I just love double standards.

The US did go in, under GB Sr. but then it pulled out again before the job was done.

Human rights in Iraq, whilst still attrocious, weren't as bad as they used to be either. The problem wasn't escalating.

America made the plight of Kuwaiti's worse and then left them there to suffer.

Now it's been 'liberated' by Uncle Sam, what can the Iraqi's look forward to anyway? Sewing trainers as part of America's global labour force such as the Vietnamese?

What!! Why do you insist on making up ridiculous things like this.

Unemployment
Kuwait 2.1%
United Kingdom 5%

Public Debt % of GDP
Kuwait 21%
United Kingdom 51%

What are you talking about? I was referring to the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq.

You have even less of a clue what you're talking about than the average anti-US parrot. I suggest you do a little reading on the subject. In fact, you should put in some intensive study on any subject you're considering discussing, before you make yourself look like a bigger fool.

Or, they could be totally unemployed and starving to death by the millions. Just ask the North Vietnamese or the Cambodians. You tell me which is worse.

See my comment above.

okoj

He's referring to the ignorant and uneducated statement that the Kuwaitis are 'suffering', since they currently have much better economic conditions that the UK (or the US, for that matter).

See my comment above.

You said "America" made the plight of Kuwaitis worse, how?... by liberating them?

They are doing great now, and you say all Iraq has got to look forward to is sewing trainers, just like the people of Kuwait, who by the way have a higher average income than we do as well.
