Well duh.

I'm slowly giving up on DFP drifting. It's hella weird. I can drift most corners but, hella weird. It feels like the car is gripping even when it's drifting.

Congradulations........you've finally figured out how retarded and wierd GT4's physics engine is. I'll never understand why so many people swear by this game. Take it from a real life drifter, these physics are total BS. This is why I never drift in GT4 anymore. It's a fun game, just a completely unrealistic one, with bad ai.

If you want realistic physics then you should go play EPR or Live for Speed. THOSE are the true driving simulators, not this GT4 BS. If you want a good race go get F1 2002 or Nascar 2003 Season or TOCA 3, once you learn the ai idiocyncrasies they are competitive, and fair and will give you a good dog fight to the finish that GT4 just can't give.

What game is EPR, i play live for speed but the setting for the DFP i dunno how to set it somemore do u know how to make it to full version? Anyway GT4 is quite realistic is only need of some improvement on it plus inorder to have a fun on drifting the key is practice but its true that the simualtion driving for GT4 on drifting is hard.

Oic is a PS2 game? Can change BodyKit? and is it true that it a real racing simulation? Is this games out? OOO can this game use DFP 900degree mode? this the main problem.

EPR has it's own forum on this site. Click on the PS2 forum then on the Enthusia Professional Racing forum.

Yes, PS2 only, no no body kits, very good driving sim (physics said to be better than LFS) came out about a year and a half ago and can now be bought new for $15 used for $5.....that is, if you can find it, and yes it has 900 mode. It also has a functional clutch and if you have a MC2 and a DFP you can have an external shifter and clutch pedal. Also it has a point to point touge run. A real one at that. It's AWESOME!!

Here's a link to the thread in the EPR forum that I made of a vid of me drifting down the touge.

Wow......that wasn't the right link at all........I don't know WTF that was......should be fixed now...

Wow thats cool i wan to get that game soon ^^, but inorder to have clutch other than MC2 can i use DF for my cluch? and the shifter i use just the DFP?

Should be able to.. It's what I do in LFS.

900 degree mode steering with the dfp, plug in the old df and use the pedal base as a clutch. All I need now is a H-gate shifter and I'm done :)

If you want 900 degree mode on the PC, press select + R3 + right paddle ;)

Btw, Do you race on demo or S2 rsmithdrift?

One thing I will say that most beginners have problems with is RESIST THE FEEDBACK. Every time I let someone else drive on my wheel, as soon as the wheel turns one way, they just let it take them until the car eventually spins. The feedback is there, but don't let it control your wheel.

EDIT: EPR Is not more realistic than gt4 at all, not even close. All they did better was the AI and they improved low speed phisics, but other wise the cars slide way too easily, to the point where I don't like playing the game anymore. GT4 has been reviewed by race car drivers and they said it was realistic.

I'm fairly proficient with DFP drifting in GT4. I first started drifting FF cars, then worked up to FR, and then to AWD and MR. After a couple months of really trying for it, I'm pretty well-rounded.

I Race on Live For Speed with my wheel now, and I'm in the process of hacking my old Logitech Formula GP wheel to build an H-gate shifter. :D

All you really need is seat [wheel? :D] time. That makes all the difference. Of course, GT4 will never be anything like sliding an actual car.
