Just like the title says, tracks like the anime Initial D.

I think these types of tracks would be awesome in the GT series, Forza has such a track and it is a great place to drive, very challenging and more difficult than the Nurburgring.

Having some of these tracks would be a great addition to GT6 and the best part of it is that these roads already exist in Japan so PD could easily pick some tracks for us. :D

Check out some Touge battle video's on youtube

What do you all think, would it be a good addition?

I'd love to see some good touge courses besides Nurb. Nurb is fun and challenging. Especially at night. But I'd love to see some point to point, uphill/downhill courses.

Spot on!

I love touge tracks and having a hill climb point to point or downhill race would be amazing. Fans of Initial D could start their own leagues with this! create their home tracks and teams could battle it out. Another thing I wish for is for all Initial D cars to be premium (long shot, I know) :D

I really hope the course maker allows you to deeply customize each segment of a track.. incline/decline.. width of the road etc.

Oh yes! That would be just great.

I love the touge series.
And if this would be added in the GT6, awesome :D

There are atleast two touge series on GTP, so this would be excellent for them.

Also, I'm pretty sure Kaz has seen atleast one episode of Best Motoring International touge challenges. Surprised why he has included a touge car (Amemiya RX-7) but no custom point-to-point races.

Very true. They have a touge car, but no point to point races. Kaz should look at more of the Best Motoring International touge challenges. I'd like to see the bodykit from the Amemiya FD available for either the Spirit R FD, or the efini FD.

I like the Amemiya, but I just wish it could be painted without hacking.

But I like the track they use on BMI because it is so narrow and you have to be really focused because the grass and trees are literally inches from your door at some parts.

Kaz did say that they will be releasing DLC every month for GT6 so i'm hopefull we will get 2 or 3 real Japan mountain roads, I will be over the moon if we had those. :D

While I would welcome the idea of having point-to-point touge tracks in GT6, I'm afraid touge won't get much or any recognition because there are many people who haven't seen the Initial D anime or Hot Version Touge Showdown and have absolutely no interest in the idea.

A small niche will always be a small niche.

Ye$, why.

Actually with cars like the Re-Amemiya or the Amuse S2000's we have, we could recreate Hot Version's touge matches. :dopey:

Oh the possibilites.

GT5's course maker made Touge very possible - I know that those were circuits and not point-to-point, so hopefully that option will be rationalised in GT6.

As for having it in game, well yes, I did enjoy the version in Shift as well as the Japanese mountain roads in DiRT.

I will say though that I find it amusing that such threads as this crop up only when PD are already deep into the development cycle. Posting this a year ago might have had more impact. Here's hoping though that the DLC option, as mentioned, comes through for you.

I would too.

I think the fact that there are some uphill/point to point tracks could be a good sign. They should add more, even if they are made up. 1 on 1 races up (or down) hill would be so fun.

Yes, I would love a couple real life roads from those Touge programs. Time Trials on those courses with an interactive leaderboard=awesome!

It would also be nice to have touge-like tracks such as Ebisu and Mine Circuit, then we could certainly recreate some of the Hot Version battles.

I'm sure PD must have thought about it as Touge Battles are very popular and entertaining in Japan.
Perhaps PD did not want to put these mountain roads in the game as it might result in more people actually doing the battles in the mountain passes.

Well the good thing now is that PD said GT6 has been made with DLC in mind and that the game will be having regular DLC support. I wonder what goodies await us?

I would love to see Mt. Akina in GT6

soundtrack can be optional :D

*edit*

Just saw this clip on youtube, I just had to share...lol
