Whole TG Mag GT5 Feature. Final.

No it`s a 1971 Mustang Mach 1. They look very similar from a short distance away, however it`s not much of a coincedence though given they are both early 70`s ford coupes and share the same chassis design underneath.
The biggest question is whether the GT5 Mach 1 has a 351 or 429?

They showed a 71 stang in the Red Bull trailer as well.

Not sure, but it's basically 98% the original version visually.

Hummm, now that I think it, you are right! Then, we just have to wait... :yuck: I'll pray to Kaz for the Veyron SS has been included! :nervous::scared: Sorry about my english... I'm polishing it

I love how they even modeled the wrong engine placement on the 747 in the background (the engines were switched to dual clusters like that for the filming of James Bond: Casino Royale, which was partially filmed at Dunsfold).

And before anyone says anything, I only used the picture of the Bugatti Veyron SS because it was laying around my harddrive from a post at another forum.

So your saying that after PD went to the track, hired a helicopter, took tons of photos and video from the air and on ground, drove around and studied every detail that they somehow managed to get such a detail wrong? I dunno it looks like the engine are together rather than the usual style

It would be a an awesome game with just that lineup of cars.

This is what I was thinking earlier. "To think that all these are just a selection of cars for a photo! Most companies make that many cars for a whole game!"

I'm still wondering why all the Ferrari's are absent though. Especially when it seems they're grouping cars together that had previously been seen together. Ex: WRC Focus, Impreza, SX4 and C4. Super GT cars, NASCAR cars.

The classic Jag is right up front and the Ford GT40 is only a few rows back... but no Ferrari 330. Kaz's favorite car!

No I believe he's referring to the incorrect engine placement compared to standard 747's. Since the engines were modified due to the film, PD was so precise that they included the modifications to the engine placement.

He means they [PD] correctly modelled that paticular 747 which has totally fictional engines. He was complimenting PD.

Mr Lobo over at GTHQ also scanned the GT5 pages from the latest TopGear magazine. These may be better readable. :)

Thanx.

It would also be nice if somebody told the editor of the "Ultimate GT5 Set-Up" article that ECII Trackstar 6000 wheel is not even remotely PS3 compatible, but it always go that way when journalist have no clue what are they talking about.

I present to you the two Countachs and the R8 LMS. All Standard cars despite not appearing in GT4.

Though I agree the Veyron is very, very likely to be a Premium, it's not 100% sure at this point.

The Countach not being premium is my single most disappointment with GT5 :guilty:. Since it's a new car to the series, I find it weird that they didn't model it up to GT5 premium standard

It's pretty damn silly indeed.

I hope that there will be some DLC to fix that. I was hoping Countach & Diablo to be Premium too.

They just put in the pricey stuff, like they always do.

This info might be old, but:

The text in the right corner states they were driving in a 16 car race. This means 16 cars should be possible in A-spec.

Can I do it?..... Please can I do it?......

Indeed, that's the only info I heard about this until now. Until now it was just mentioned for B-spec and online.

Ouch they fudged up. Anyway I've never seen that wheel before, it's gorgeous in every way:eek:.

Why would it be possible online but not in A-spec or arcade mode though? I mean, we had 16 car races back in Prologue already!

I'm cautious when it has never been actually confirmed :)

Of course it would be logical to have 16 car races like in Prologue.

Prologue had less polygons per car. It's still the same PS3 that has to render a much heavier game.

I wouldn't see any reason why it would be a problem if 16 cars online were already confirmed (i missed that).

I would think that being in Prologue, 16 car races wouldn't need to be confirmed, it would be a given. If anything, it would probably be more, but the effort being made to increase the quality of the standard models (and please, let's not turn this into a standard vs premium thread), there wouldn't be much processing power left over to have any more on track. But certainly, I don't think there would be less cars on track than we have experienced before.

At the same time, I can understand people's reticence in assuming something before it is confirmed with GT5.

This. Online takes more performance, so allowing us to race 16 cars online but not offline would make no sense whatsoever.

Online takes less actually, no need to calculate 15 AI decisions and minimal physics. You're racing a constantly updated representation of the other drivers.

Indeed. Growing up, the Countach was my favorite car. I hope that there is another version that has been given the "premium" treatment.👍

Still won't stop me from enjoying it though..

Rumor has it that the Top Gear feature is based on a final version of the game, they were very impressed not only with the graphics as expected but also with the physics, namely in the crash with the 458 Italia, and the sounds as well. Just something to keep in mind.

IMHO, I feel the sounds (and possibly physics) in the final release will be something we have yet to see, far better than what we have seen at that.

cool! The physics in GT5P are well done as console games go, but compared to PC sims I find it a bit lacking.
:)
