Whole TG Mag GT5 Feature. Final.

IMO yea but I know most people don't agree even though you gotta admit, is it amazing for a production car. the best production car so far I think

It's an astonishing piece of engineering but to me it's not very good looking, sounds awful and is too heavy. I could name dozens of production cars I think are better but, it's a very individual choice a bit like music is

Why are people assuming the Veyron is standard?
Just because it hasn't been shown yet doesn't mean it isn't in the game.
If it weren't for the delay we wouldn't have found out about the Lamborghini, or any of the other newly confirmed cars until after seeing them in the game. If they can keep those cars from being seen until release day, who's to stop them from doing the same with the Veyron?

I think this picture only shows the cars that mr.Yam. wanted to show. He DID not show Veyron adn Ferraris for some reason: make us think about it

thanks alot for this!

this magazine aint being sold where i live!

nice little interview. though no "new" info ect. what can we expect after its gone gold anyway? :P

I believe the Veyron is being kept as the jewel of the crown among the supercars in the game, so expect to drive/see it only when you're done with most supercar championships.

Adding to that, the Bugatti Veyron is arguably the most incredible production car on the road since the old F1, why would it be a Standard? I can't see how.

It wouldn't make sense for the Veyron to be standard anyway, would it? Since the standard models are basically upscaled from GT4, and the Veyron would have to have been modelled between then and GT5's release, why would they make a standard model after GT4? They already knew the next GT would be on the PS3.

I hope what I wrote made sense :P

What you said makes sense but the Veyron was also in GTPSP. So there is a possibility that it's a standard car. I don't really think that it's a high possibility though. We still haven't seen all the premium cars in the game so they could easily just be holding it back.

It made plenty of sense and I've thought this every time somebody had said they think it's a standard. 👍

I present to you the two Countachs and the R8 LMS. All Standard cars despite not appearing in GT4.

Though I agree the Veyron is very, very likely to be a Premium, it's not 100% sure at this point.

Hmm, I forgot about GTPSP. But I still think it would make sense for them to model it for both games if they knew they were going to put it in GT5 aswell. Only time will tell, I guess.

Edit: ^Damn, forgot about those. Oh well, there goes my logic haha.

Thank you very much for the scans. It was an intresting read.
Now the big question is: will the physics really be that advanced? I remember Kazunori's live interview with the japanese Love Cars (or whatever it was called) and a user in here translated a few sentences. The once that got my attention: "PC games struggle to reach this level, physics whise" or something like that.
Just saying, there is a lot of scepticism around the web.

Rumor has it that the Top Gear feature is based on a final version of the game, they were very impressed not only with the graphics as expected but also with the physics, namely in the crash with the 458 Italia, and the sounds as well. Just something to keep in mind.

IMHO, I feel the sounds (and possibly physics) in the final release will be something we have yet to see, far better than what we have seen at that.

Thanks for scans mate....epic pic and a great read!

I'd imagine that picture represents around half of the premium models. Or do you thnk there's some standards in there too?

er is the yellow and black muscle a ford falcom Xb GT, 1973 (ala the mad max interceptor BEFORE it gets its peter arcadiplane nose cone)

And the V8 interceptor.

i hope we can have superchargers hanging out of the bonnet like that!!

if so, v8 interceptor replica i will be making!

No it`s a 1971 Mustang Mach 1. They look very similar from a short distance away, however it`s not much of a coincedence though given they are both early 70`s ford coupes and share the same chassis design underneath.
The biggest question is whether the GT5 Mach 1 has a 351 or 429?

It's not confirmed that the Veyron will be standard... It has never appeared in GT Series... What I know is that PD will take as premium cars, all those that have never appeared in the Series (before GT5:P, so I think almost all the cars in GT5:P and some cars of GT:PSP will be premium, plus the new ones that haven't appeared neither in GT5:P nor GT:PSP)... I think they just keep the Veyron hidden, because it will be one of the best cars in the game... So to me, it will be premium.. I hope......:indiff::nervous:

I love how they even modeled the wrong engine placement on the 747 in the background (the engines were switched to dual clusters like that for the filming of James Bond: Casino Royale, which was partially filmed at Dunsfold).

And before anyone says anything, I only used the picture of the Bugatti Veyron SS because it was laying around my harddrive from a post at another forum.

:lol::lol::lol: Anyway, it's nice to see the Veyron, I'm in love with it

If Kaz said that PC games would struggle to achieve the physics level of GT5 then I'm laughing. How full of himself can he be?
