Abbreviating the Range Rover's name is confusing the hell outta me trying to read this.
I keep thinking Honda's...

(Shouldn't it be moved to the opinions sub-forum?)

God watching videos like this just **** me off more.

It was all the SUV's fault!

You're right, my bad. It's been moved. :) Not sure what else to abbreviate it as, too redundant just typing Range Rover over and over again.

Yes that's the lady they showed this morning on GMA. But they showed this lady RIGHT AFTER talking about the driver. And they only showed a little clip of this lady. Now you can see why I thought the driver was paralyzed.

You listen to the lawyer too? Says he was just trying to make the SUV slow down and not follow the others so closely. When we all the know there was alot of space infront of that RR so he was the last guy they needed to get out of the way to do their bull**** stunts. Plus, I'm pretty sure in these situations bikes are usually the ones to pass/swarm other motorists. So his client's solution was to first cut off a 2 ton vehicle at highway speeds then proceed to stop rather abruptly? Once he cut-off the SUV the SUV was already slowing down then the bike stopped even harder for no apparent reason other than to brake-check, did not give the SUV time or distance to brake and got more or less "tapped" by the SUV.

In my opinion such vast numbers of Bike meets on the road should be banned, on the Highway I find it very nerving to see bikes passing me so closely with that many bikes surronding a car contact is sort of expected (Unrelated ish)

Both parties are at fault for me, still not sure what the Bikers did when they swarmed the car, I read that a Biker was quoted as saying that they were only trying to figure out what happened when the biker brake checked him.

:dunce:
The bikers are the ones who are speeding to pass the RR then got in his lane. How are they trying to use that to fight their charge?:faceplam:

I was initially wondering why the driver or passenger of the RR didn't call the police but quickly figured he was either too scared at the moment to think of it or probably thought he was at fault for running those guys over.

Probably assumed (correctly) that it would take them too long to show up and decided (correctly) that he needed to take action before then.

Oh yeah I agree I wouldn't have just sat there and waited for police but I meant while fleeing, but still probably correct. Would take too long for them to respond.

NY Post has a few pics of when the biker were beaten the driver

The guy in the orange shirt and the one next to him seem pretty satisfied with themselves. Oh and they even assaulted the passenger side as well...

EDIT: Also proof that the tires were slashed, the front right is riding on it's rim. No tire left.

First picture on the NY Post... that's alot of blood on the ground.

Broken bones maybe, but he didn't deserve to be paralyzed for life.👎

Broken bones, paralyzed, whatever the degree is irrelevant to me, what matters is that it will be a life lesson, tough one for the guy, it will be a reminder for his peers in the bike gang, that bad deed never goes unpunished. One way or the other, sometime, somewhere, somehow, something will bite you back.

The biker who got paralyzed deserved it, play with fire, you get burned.

I agree, he doesn't deserve to be paralyzed, but if you want to act like an irresponsible idiot on public roads then you must accept the consequences.
The bikers had a choice. They chose to act like complete morons.

Can you imagine if 50 cars were caravanning on the highway and if one guy were to be rear-ended? Instead of the one guy pulling off to the side with the rear-ender, the whole pack of cars stops on the highway. What the hell is that. Bikers are SO STUPID. I'm glad Oppo was able to collect this range of videos of their past outings.

Really shows them as what they are: a pack of morons that should be banned from driving.

Now remind me to fit my range rover with a spike strip deploymentator for the next time I'm driving around new york.

Even if the bikers were going to be twits this could have been avoided with the normal situation ofcswapping detsils.

But no yhe short manhooded thugs wanted to show off(maybe this was a courtship thing) and some is now paralyzed.

He can tell his kids how he got paralyzed by saying I tried to beat a SUV driver and he ran me over.
Lesson here is dont be stupid

Those videos on Oppositelock show them bikers for the tossers they truly are. They seem to do nothing but disregard the presence of other road users, as well as completely ignoring the laws of the road. 👎
These laws are in place for the safety of others road users as well as their own, but they have gone against these laws and now as a consequence one of the bikers is injured.
Let's hope this is a lesson to them, and to the biker who got injured, well it's tough 🤬. You do not have my sympathy and never will.

I ride a motorcycle, and I am ashamed that I am tarred with the same brush as these idiots because I do so. Trust me, not all of us are like those people. That being said, my sympathies with the Range Rover driver stop short of him paralyzing another person during his attempted escape. Does that justify the two-wheeled gang's actions, though? Not at all.

Here's a clip of this same group from 2 years ago with them running a red light in a pack. A Prius that has the right of way on a green proceeds forward & apparently got in the way of their little ride. They swarmed him, vandalized his car, & tormented him as well.

Keep watching & you can see these idiots driving on the sidewalks, not just in the wrong lanes.

With that being done, this was just karma coming and an unfortunate situation for 1 idiot who got in the way of 1 driver who wasn't about to do what the Prius owner did. In simple terms, they 🤬 with the wrong guy. There should be no sympathy for this group after all these videos have come out.

All cyclists I know personally, Harley or imports, they are responsible riders. 👍

I can't pretend to know everything by just watching that video on the news last night, but from what I did see, bikers should go to jail, licenses suspended, pay for damages, including compensation for pain/suffering/emotional distress, probably mounting in to millions.

I saw the crippled biker's mom, wife or whatever crying on TV, calling out the driver of the Rover. I doubt I'm the only one who rolled eyes at that. I thought she should be personally apologizing to the victim & his family, who I believe were also in the Rover, and witnessed their dad/husband get lynched by these tough guys. Oh, he was just trying to help up another gang member when he got ran over? In my book, that doesn't put you in the right, or make you into some kind of hero. You were still part of the problem.

To the main topic, I think both parties involved have played their part in this. It's unfortunate that it came down to such a bad ending.
