Because I'll be in the maternity ward.

I don't see Jaguar doing anything worthwhile this year. Now they're being run by people who actually know how to run F1 teams, and who have the blessing of the Ford board, they will progress, but they need a vast quantity of cash. Seemingly their budget this year is in the region of US$70m, which is probably only half of what they actually need.

I would love to see Webber's contracts in detail. With Williams almost certainly not re-hiring Ralf, you've got to assume they're going all-out for Button and Webber, both of whom are in interesting contractual situations.

I think that would make a hell of a team. I think both Button and Webber have both become really mature over last season..

webber and button driver lineup in a williams. i can only see good coming from that. for once webbo will have a GOOD team-mate that he wont blow away (sorry to any wilson fans, but face it, he thrashed him). and button can finally live up to his potential.

idealy though, id like to see a 2005 williams lineup of DC

The question is would Briatore "allow" Webber to go to Williams? to a car that could be faster than his Renaults

i think webber/button are almost a 100% lock for williams in 05. I love Truili but he needs to actually get some results outside of qualifying this year...if he does i think he will be at renualt in 05....but otherwise there colud be an empty seat....webber is the most likely one though I still think willimas already has him.

Do you? Is that speculation on your part, or have you heard something about it?

Basically, I think that BAR will try very hard to keep Button. My understanding is that the 05/06 contract extension will only happen after "options on both sides" are resolved. This could leave the way clear for Jenson to leave BAR, presumably dependent on BAR failing to achieve certain performance levels.

Webber is signed to Jaguar, and they too will try to keep him, but Briatore does rule his drivers with an iron rod, and will do whatever it takes to get the best deal for himself. There's a widespread belief that he will seek to place Webber at Renault, however, this seems predicated on the belief that Alonso will move to Ferrari for 06. It was predicated on the belief that Alonso would have moved sooner, but that now seems unlikely, with Massa and Fisichella at the 'B' team, and Rubens re-signed until the end of 06. I think therefore that we can see Alonso at Renault until at least 2006. And I would countenance anyone against moving to Ferrari in the wake of the departure of the driving and technical staff.

You also need to remember that if Williams try to force the issue, they would have to buy one/both of the drivers out of their contracts, which is expensive, and Williams have a history of simply refusing to do that.

Complete and utter speculation on my part...hahaha. But based on a few things I've read. Sir Frank's obvious love of Jenson, Webber being a great driver but needing a real car and latest Honda's hinting at canning the BAR relationship.

I don't see Honda leaving F1, especially with Toyota there. But for the love of god I hope they buy BAR out. If so AND they have good results this season I could see Jenson stating with Honda, otherwise I think he is gone and needs his shot at a top 3 car. Do or die I suppose.

I've read the Webber/Renault deal but just can't see webber driving there, especially with Alonso still there. I don't know why but I don't think it will happen...

I think Kimi is more likely to be pounced on by Ferrari than Alonso...especially for 06 or 07.... I think he is a better and more well rounded driver that Alonso. Plus the type of driver Ferrari can put 90% behind to make a #1 like Schumi...while Massa could be a good #2...or Truili?

Kimi #1 and Truili #2 for Ferrari in 07...hahaha it will never happn but my two fav drivers on my fav team....I can dream right?

haha

I have to agree with you on that. IMO I thought that even though Alonso was good last season (I mean really good) I didn't think he was as good as or as consistent as Kimi. I think Kimi is better.

of the three hot young drivers...JPM is the most fun to watch but he implodes under pressure big time, it is all or nothing with him. That makes him great to watch.

Alonso seems to have natural ability but is a little rough around the edges and pulled some dnagerous **** last year (remembe rhis brake test of DC?). Not quite ready for primetime but give him a few years.

Kimi is rock solid. Doesn't crack at all. I think his two blown qualifying laps last year were flukes but over the entire seaosn he was always up there, didn't he have like 7 2nds?

Kimi seems like the type of driver Ferrari would go for ...

it will hard to predict until the first race gets underway, I dont think ferrari will pull of both chapionships this season. I think it will be close as it htink there will be 5 teams with a cahnce of winning races, I hope montoya and williams pull it of.

1)Ferrari
2)McLaren
3)Williams
4)Renault
who's the 5th team you think could get up their?
I have a feeling you're pointing at BAR.:odd:

I actually can't see Toyota making it up there. I just have a feeling that they're gonna be midfield again. I mean I've heard quite a bit of noise from both Panis and DaMatta saying how they're both not happy with the car. Though you say Jaguar Millen, I actually think they could be. Christ look at their perfromance at the recent test, although I think they're going to struggle (as Giles pointed out in another thread) with their rear tyres again.

Just an update I guess on the situation........ After 3 races, I've yet to see Rubino save Michael's ass:D

# 1 driver - Michael Schumacher
# 1 team - Scuderia Ferrari
