Wil you watch American Top Gear?

I'm quite liking it.

Yes, many of you are right when you say that it has a scripted feeling. They try to make these three presenters act the same way as the UK presenters. They need their own "chemistry." That said, the UK version is scripted as well, most noticeably with the India special.

Still, I'm liking both very much. 👍

You know someone hates you if you're going to the Emmys and you're told one of the Top Gear USA guys is going to pick you up. I mean...if you've seen the show, you know you're screwed. And you know the producers are in the office going "Who has never watched the show and absolutely no one likes?"

I'm becoming split on the show now. On the one hand, it is funny at times and interesting to see a version of Top Gear with American vehicles. On the other hand, it has turned into Top Gear: Challenges. I would've thought that they were done with using ideas from TG:UK, however last weeks show disputed that fact. I'm really hoping that it was a challenge that was done for season 1, but didn't air, since in several of the earlier BSSC segments, you can see the 'Vette limo in the background.

I am ashamed to admit I have watched most of the episodes and found myself laughing on a semi regular basis :( I think I need to go find a mental hospital :P

Why would you be ashamed? It's a good show that is pretty funny at times and doesn't rely on the same jokes week after week.
