Will AI opponents be updated in GT6 ?

Ummm... Yeah. ;)

Actually what I would like to see is not a hidden one, but one that will automatically advance as you win races. Not all at once, but 1 or 2 percent per win.

It wouldn't be hidden, though, so that if you have a hard time with a race you can roll it back to win... Then come back and turn it up yourself until you win at the maximum level! :)

This is why in post 38 I suggested increasing AI consistancy as the game modes progress :) Maybe some form of hidden AI driver reliability slider. (I bet TRL likes this... ;) )
Can we not assume AI opponent will be replaced by real drivers... Considering some seasonal's will become FIA championships?

The slow AI is the one thing that's keeps stopping me from playing GT6. They are so slow that by the end of lap 1, from starting last as you always do, I am usually in 2nd place. Please make them faster and more challenging.
It's not all down to the AI seemingly being slow, but for the early career mode races you have 2 or 3 laps to catch first place which is twenty plus seconds up the road, this means using a car that is 5 or 6 seconds plus a lap quicker. If qualifying or standing starts could be introduced a lower PP car could be used therefore giving a slightly more realistic experience. But yes the AI certainly needs addressing.

That will never be updated. If they didnt update it from GT1 to GT6, im sure they wont in their next games.

The biggest problem with the AI is that they have them set to be flexible for every single player....

So,

The novices are able to win,

But,

the REALLY good players aren't tested much.

it makes me not want to buy the next game,
have GT2 and GT4 ever had now GT6

but it is so easy to solve, place the pick of levels at the beginning of the game.
Even so then put a difficulty that changes according to your playing style

once i had a really good fight with my brz against a shelby series 1 but that's because his car was way faster and not because he was a better driver. he took me over many times on straights but when it came to a corner i took him over.

I was afraid the "sensation of speed" was from some exaggerated perspective or motion blur, or some hyped terrain movement. I'm a big fan of camera shake, though it seems to all be in the car, which is okay. I prefer to have some with the driver view as well. And this was in GT5 until some gamers complained it gave them motion sickness, and PD removed it completely. It really should be an option, and I hope PD notices my suggestion for it in the Driver View thread. It would really help with that sense of speed thing, as well as the feel of racing in a serious machine.

As for the bots, I know Johnnypenso and a few others are all about a difficulty setting, and that would be the way to go. The casuals can have their easy bots, and we can get something competitive. But along with that, PD also needs to tighten up their general performance, because they still creep around turns, and worst of all, spread out WAY too much. In an I-A Class race, there can be a difference between first and last of more than a minute and a half! That's just awful. Realistically, I'd think it should be more like 15 to 20 seconds, with bots clumping towards the front of the pack, and two or three leaders.

These could be fantastic bots with a little brain surgery.

I meant to respond to this earlier, but I wouldn't get carried away asking for so much control that you can determine how the bots race. I think if we got something that made them faster overall, take corners as fast as possible without wiping out, not give up when we passed them, and bunch up the field so it resembles an actual race at the end, that would be sufficient. And with some kind of difficulty setting.

GT6 Spec II GO! :D

Was I the only one to feel an AI improvement after these last updates?
Racing in an International A competition this week and i had more of a challenge. Got overtaken aggressively, lots of Xs in the race. Felt very nice.
Can someone confirm so i can be sure it's not something from my head?
