Hi Guy's.

Just watch the F1 practice round 1 on Fuji, and the track is build a little more then we have in GT5, there is several tribunes added, and some pit area Logo paint, that goes all way through the pit that isn't in our version..

Second:
I've just tried Racing Fuji with
0-Traction control.
S2 tires.
none active steering.
My Time in first practice is about 1,19.3xx ( have done 1,17.3xx )
F1 pro (Hamilton) time is about 1,18.9xx. ( in this practice 1)

I really would like to drive with the F1 Team this weekend, and need to know more about the real Settings for the F1's compare to GT5 timetrail, so nice with some knowledge feedback..

EX:
Is S2 the right tires. ?
Do they use Active steering control system. ?

btw. The timetrail online is 1,10.xxx :scared:

💡
If anybody would like to make this into some Fun contest, well lets doit then.
lets race with the pro's on Fuji, but with honesty and clean racing, be true.
we all need to have the Rules in our settings, witch meens no traction control ( that one i know hehe) and then we just add our time here, and who knows maybe we gain some places in timetrail ranking.. :dopey:

Dream On and happy racing ;)

Out of curiosity does the fastest timetrial time use exploits? E.g. corner cutting and using the run off strips (last corner) to gain time? I imagine you could gain quite a lot of time (especially on the back straight) just from that.

Well it could be, becouse 1,10.xxx Is like flying hehe.. lets check the replay, I'll do it later, need to make some food for the family first hehe.

Weee haaa Its amazing how good it looks compare to the real track, PD has done some unique Work THANKS PD :)

Lucky :( Wish they showed the Practice Session here in Australia :( They only show the Qualifyer & The Main Race, So whats the standing for the quickest atm? Who's on a good pace?

It's the first course when you go in to Arcade, just click on Fuji ;)

I'm getting practice round 2 now, it needs more time .. ;o)

back to cooking..:P

you can always see it via livestream....:sly:

spyrrari.

I'm guessing you mean 'Fuji Speedway F' (that's the first one of the Fujis for me) but online record for that is 1:14.XXX. Please can you check?

I have done a 1:18.5XX using SIXAXIS. There's a lot of room for improvement. Trouble is (as always) stringing it together. Any slight mistakes are punished in the F1. Trying to find that throttle sweet spot where I can get the power down exiting corners without lighting up the rears (no TC).

They dont use active steering. They dont have ABS. No traction control. And the tires are a street compound, not racing slicks (R1/2/3).

I just really wish they'd update the online racing this weekend.

Great Malefic
So Now we know how to race it ;)

and True, a online update could be in place, and why not F2007 on Fuji; Bad timing PD hehe

@Obli
Yeps it's true online record is 1,14.762 But I tell you, first time a Ran it, it said 1,10.xxx So hehe a Bug, or maybe becouse I haven't deleted or cleared anything after update..

Btw great time Obli

I'm still waiting for the practice run 2, so I haven't got the new times, I tried to look for them on the net..

From http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/index.shtml
Timo Glock set the pace for Toyota. The German racer lapped the 4.563km circuit in a best time of 1:18.383s, less than a tenth ahead of his nearest rival and with one second covering the top 17 runners.

Back to driving

I think it would be great if you write what Controller you used, Saxi and me is like best enemies, I hate driving with it, and I stink, but I'm using a logitech Driving force pro GT wheel, just so you know ;)

The F2007 is very wrong in the game unfortunately....It goes way too fast in the straight but it corners on the same level of the real F1 cars.

I think you need to use N tires, I do not know if N1 or N2 or N3. Try them all. Since Gran Turismo had an tire update. I remember one race was with N1 tires and F2007 still handled good. So try N1, I do you're best, and see what you can come up to with :) I am pretty sure that's how the Tires should be for F2007. By the way, there is a in game manual, check there.

@boci ya man your right, and we don't have to worry at all about crashing, which will also keep the pace down a bit for the real drivers, so I gues that 1,18.383 is quite hectic

@NoxNoctis Umbra
Yep its N1 on the online Daytona road, which is working fine, so I will go for N1, then a little more carelessness is needed hehe..

Q-?
If you get on the out side of the road on your left, after corner 13 ( look here http://www.formula1.com/races/in_detail/japan_802/circuit_diagram.html) you'll get a Next Lap Invaled penalty, But isn't that a little wierd, I think it's new though, but is that really necessary ?

Flaggie..

I love this track, so I'll definitely have a go with it later.

Edit: 1'18.630 so far, I know I can go faster - it's just stringing three fast sectors together, reckon I could just make the high 1'16s if I put in a tight lap. Lost at least 8 tenths in the final sector compared to my previous ghost on that lap.

Edit again: Sorry, completely missed the tire rule - that was on S2s! I've posted my N1 time later in the thread.

I have 1,20.762 running, but it's only because of me constantly sliding off the track with these N1 and 0.TC. No Nothing is on - he he But still it's much more fun with out any help on the Car..

But great time Cultlife ;)

Btw topspeed Reached on the real F1 on Fuji is under 338km Hamilton, I've reached 343km, so it's not that far from the real deal..

I tried few laps and got it to 1'17.594. I'm using G25. Let's see what they do in the qualification. :)

You know what...

If PDs development of GT5 takes until 2010 they will have to update not only every track but also the cars.... say put the Citroen GT to a folder called "Oldtimers"

@profi. ;)
For the sake of the argument, I think that Cars and Tracks are to different things, When looking from a developing point of you.

The tracks is the Base for GT5 and any Game, I know that Fuji has been updated lately and are Finished now, so it looks to me that PD has worked on the latest/newest version of Fuji, and are still able to finsih it with the last 6-8 tribunes and some Camera towers, then they have accomplished, what they have set out to do looOong time ago..

Cars is a part of all Tracks in the game, because of it's use and they seems to be spot on from the start, only physics and livery will probably change through out the game, and of course more cars will come, I'm working with the Game industry, and at the moment as freelanced 2D/3D dude, maybe that's why I see it in another way then you, or i'm just a Optimist instead hehe Which I Am LMAO ;)

But in general, you are of course Right ;)

@JvM Wow dude that's a killer time in my book.. :scared:[

(EDIT)
I have just corrected my time in a early reply, it's now about 2 seconds slower then with S2 tires. 1,20.762 :boggled:

N1 Tires On..
All other stuff Off..

if i remember correctly PD said the N1 tire choice was the correct compound for the F2007. though this is off of spec II physics im basing this off of. and during spec II the only tires you could use to run a time trial on with the F2007 was N1's. the quickest i ever managed was a 1:16.9 which was a top 100 time and i dont think the fastest time was higher the 1:16.7. but now with spec III you can choose which tire choice (up to S2) you want to use so people are getting a much faster time.

but i average a 1:18 using a g25 just like the drivers do ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua2u33e__F8

oh and as for the using the runoff comment for a faster time. PD set it so that if you would try to use the runoff at either turn 3 turn 13 or turn 16 it would invalidate the lap. so you have to stay on course to get a registered time.

Just ignore him. He's been doing this all week. I've reported him for the comment because it has nothing to do with the topic on hand.
