There is a reason why there is a report button and when there is needless comments in a thread like that then that's a reasonable reason to use it/ The thread wasnt even talking about the PD or The Citroen by GT? No reason whatsoever to comment on it here to get other members frustrated.

OP i'm just trying some laps out atm haha it's nuts to control the F1 with the DFGT! I never really tried it before haha!

I improved my time a little. Got 1'17.0xx, Don't remember the exact time.
Fastest in the real thing in Q2 was 1'17.2xx if i remember correctly.
I'm doing the timetrial so there was no option for tuning. And I didn't notice any difference between the tires.
The times are quite close to the real thing although the car is last year's.

Is it just me or is the dunlop (10) a little looser now in the real F1 than in the game.
It kind of looked like it was when I was watching the qualifying.

Just did the Fuji time trial. My 1st time using a F1 car around Fuji, could only run 1:21s. I think i need more practice! It was plenty of fun though!
 
So N1 is the way to go?
I will try this as soon I get free time. That is probably Monday or Tuesday :(
Or just stay up tonight LATE :)

My DF-GT wheel is new, I've had it for about 2 weeks and I Still need to adjust to it, before that I used the Logitech EX..

But I have a updated time, It's 0,00.175 seconds quicker hehe LOL, and its now 1,20,587, weee haaa.

I must admit that I'm feeling a little nervous in my stomach when I'm driving, and thats actually quite amazing, I'm driving on the edge of my ability, and still you guys are going 2-3 seconds faster, it's great fun this contest, and the idea of the F1 pro's are so called involved in this race weekend, gives it a injection, and lift's GT5 a little more..

Will there be cheaters.. ?
I guess some people are wondering if Cheating will be a part of it, I say It's not, because we are into this guy's, not for the winning only, but for the race it self and the social Fun we can create together here on GTPlanet, so why not just test your self instead, If we would like to check the best times raced in this contest, we would be able to check the online ranking, because I think that times under 1,17.400 is under 100 in ranking.

EX: JvM is number 67 in ranking with time 1,17.090 and S2 tires <--- Please use N1 :scared: JvM could actually tell us if you think there is a differénce, when you try with N1 if you don't mind going it again of course hehe..

@JvM I think would interesting if we didn't had the wall in the dunlop, then it would be more real, but of course PD have added it, because of It's a game, But a Next Lap Invalid would have done the trick..

There is a difference between N1.2.3 and S1.2.3 Otherwise we wouldn't have the choice.. I slide off much easier with N1 then with S2, so I do feel the difference :sly:

The speaker in practice 2 said something about the cars using a very little amount of Downforce, so I guess we are in the same situation ;)

My teammate " GTP_MoFF_One" will arrive in about 1 hour, and then we will keep on driving Fuji for about 5-6 hours, then I hope to Gain with seconds instead of 1/10 of a second LOL..

I've been getting some sweet times.
But I realized have ABS on... ;_;
PD should have put a F2007 event on to rival the F1's race XD
 
God, I feel a little silly - I completely missed the bit about tires.

The 1'18:630 was on S2's... I tried again when I got home from work this afternoon and my best N1 time so far has been 1'19.272


Looking to break into the 1'18s when I start playing again in 5 mins or so - love this little challenge!

not really. the only big rule change from last years car to current car is no more traction control. basicly its the same car but the engineers just added a few more winglets and what not to the car. but the cas run the same times. now if you where to say this next year then yes there would be a huge diference between the cars.

abs?

to beat the real pro's :)

I see your point M8..

For this contest.
0+ Tcs.
No Active steering.
No Asm.
No ABS.
N1 Tires.

This is the closest to the original cars, and it is quite a challenge, But also A lot of FUN!!

Manual and automatic Gear must be up to the person, because I will die if i should Drive this challenge with manual gear, Lots are using manual gear and it's the right thing to do, but maybe a little over the top for all of us, hope you all agree :embarrassed:)

GTP_MoFF_One has set a time 1,19.925, mine still 1,20,587 ;)

ps. just checked the No:1 on the ranking It's 1,14.762 But is useless , he uses S2 and He should have got a "Next lap invalid" But didn't ?

I'm really struggling to get under 1'19, going to have a look through the top times and see if any are N1 tires, see what I can learn from them.


Hmm.... #92, ItalyaZERO did a 1'17.307 with N2s... how much different are they?

I wish in FULL GT5 game. Cars like the F1, FORD GT LM race car can only have REGULATION tires. For example. F1, SOft, Hard, Semi-Soft, Rain, and Trainer Tires. And don't name it N1, N4, S4, etc.. Just state it for these cars.

Ford GT LM race car, and other Race cars. Soft, super soft, Super hard, rain... ETC, NO street tires. Only Race tires since it is a race car.

And Runing time at 15 hours after the real F1 Race is Cool for my team..

Any better time after the deadline is good for the driver anyway, so just keep it real ;)

Yeah.. I will go now for a few laps and try out the N1's. The first time I tried this I went with N3's and compared to s2's I think there wasn't any difference, or if there was, it was really small. Anyways I'll go and try the N1's now.. Maybe there is a difference.
 
just did a couple of laps. wasn't that good.:yuck: will post my time tomorrow. hope t will be an acceptable time. time for bed now. enjoy the race everybody.

Super m8, I'm also getting closer, my new time is 1,19.346 and yes it will be quicker, but shXT I'm constantly sliding off in two places, 1'st corner and in 4's corner, Need more practice hehe

I just want to say to anyone, please use the Formula 1 section to post any comments about what's happening or happened in the race later and not spoil it for people who will be watching the re-run in the daytime or recording it who might stumble on this thread. :cheers:
