Will GT6 have Porsche in it?

RUF yes, Gemballa no, they're only a tuner.

I can't find any details on those but unless they're classed a manufacturer and use unstamped chassis like RUF they're also a no go.
I wish people would stop claiming this as if it was a black and white truth. How many Porsches, Ferraris and Lamborghinis were licenced to be in, say, Toca Race Driver 3?
Zero

How many were in Toca Race Driver 3 anyway?
One of each: A Gemballa, a Koenig and a Koenig; respectively.

This thread is going nowhere. It's just being repeated with the same stuff.

"We need Porsche" "Get more RUFs" "I want a 959" "Add this RUF"

Same stuff all the time. I'm not saying I hate this thread, just face it, Porsche ISN'T going to be in GT6. Bottom line.

Wow way to bring the mood down.

I'm just saying, stop complaining that Porsche isn't in GT. We already have RUF (and the hidden 911 in GT3). Be happy with what we got.

I still dont see your point this would be the thread to discuss these things.

Why would you come into a porsche in gt6 thread and complain about a discussion thats on topic?

Because Porsche ISN'T confirmed to be in GT6. It wasn't in the announcement at Silverstone and it wasn't announced at E3.

The only way PD will get Porsche is off of EA's dead hands. Kaz can't grant everyone's wishes, he's only one man!

And you still havent explained why it cant be discussed.

Would a change in title help? "Should gt series get porsche"?

Im trying to fathom why this bothers you that people want to discuss this.

I'm sorry if I'm getting mad about this. It annoys me that people want things that aren't very possible.

I'll just stay out of this thread because I think I'm starting to be hated. I don't want to be hated by everyone, I'm a good person.

Dont mistake my questions as hating I dont know you I was just curious.

My apologies if it came across as hate. 👍

In business anything is possible if enough pressure was brought to bear. if the GT community really and truly would like to see Porsche in the GT franchise they could do it....think about it.

Many people are frustrated with the situation because you buy a racing game you expect to see all the manufactures present. love Porsche or hate Porsche-to have such an iconic manufacturer missing from a thoroughbred racing game is almost unthinkable for many racing fans, me included. i don't care for the street cars, but to have their racing cars missing from the game for me feels like the game is not complete which leads to feelings of being cheated which then leads to feelings of hatred towards Porsche and EA.

If we start hating each other because we have differing opinions, then what's the point in being here? :)

"We mentioned it a little bit at the Silverstone announcement a few weeks ago but we want to affect more industries outside of just the game world, and we're setting up a lot of collaborations with a lot of different game companies right now, as we speak," Yamauchi reminded. "I think those are some of the most interesting things coming up for GT6."

Perhaps he was talking about EA... still hope for me :)

Probably not, but after years of waiting, I don't think I even care for Porsche anymore.

Bring on DEM RUFs! :D

Okay, I just came back from watching a Porsche video and... I do care. :guilty:

Although it's most likely the case that GT6 will not be getting Porsche, if they do I hope we'll get the the 997 Turbo S, the 997 GT3 RS Mk.1 and the Carrera GT.

But I guess we'll all have to settle for RUFs.

Was just talking about it in the E3 thread. It is clearly a mis-tranlation or journalism error.

The quote doesn't make any sense unless you remove the word "game" from the final sentence. It is just referring to the "edge effects" that Kaz was talking about at Silverstone. You know, like KW and Yokohama.

Sure, if you just take "game companies" out of context from the rest of it.... Porsche!!!!! However, with the context of the rest of the quote.... No. Not referring to EA or Porsche.

I think people that say ''Why Porsche? We have RUF'' forgets a lot of Porsche models like the 935, 956, 911 GT2, 911 GT1 that someone said two pages before, and 917, 952, 911 RSR, 911 2.7 RS, 928, Carrera GT, 959, Little Bastard, and much more that I don´t remenber. All these cars, specially from competition, don´t have a RUF tuned version.

Just thinking a bit we can realise that they are A LOT of models we are missing...

If there's no possibility of having Porsche, then I want to have Mitsuoka BUBU 356 Speedster in the game, at least.

I would still like to figure out how some game developers get the porsche tuners in their games. For example, when Rockstar developed the 3rd Midnight club game; they had gemballa tuned porsches featured in the game. Do they still get the porsche license before hand or what?

Well PD just doesn't want to pay top bucks to EA to get a sub-license. Porsche already stated somewhere they don't care about games. EA obviously payed top bucks to Porsche to get an exlcusive license.

Tornado mentioned this above and it's something I'd like to look into as well. I'm pretty sure it was someone from T10 that said on their forums no Porsche license = no Porsche tuners and that RUF is in because they're legally their own manufacturer.

The only thing I can think of is that they paid EA or a very small amount of money to include the tuners rather than the full amount if they wanted 'raw' Porsches. It's just a guess but I don't think we'll be able to get a factual answer anywhere.

I did notice that the Gemballa F355 in Midnight Club doesn't have a Ferrari badge whereas it does in real life so that may indicate a loophole of some sort. Perhaps it's different enough to be legal. I don't know.

It would be fun to have porsche but I'm used to not see porsche in any other game than NFS. It's just a shame that isn't in a simulator

Loooooooooong ago(I'm showing my age), I had psOne with a game named LeMans 24hours. It had porsche GT cars and the Porsche GT1. I also had the Dreamcast console and i had the same game but in 128bit graphics. The cool thing about both games was weather/time change and multiple class racing. The PS version had horrible graphics but I still played it because the sound was excellent for the time and you could flash the lights to pass and a few other world circuits. Faster traffic flashed as well if it was an LMP overtaking a GT car. In hindsight, I should have kept those games as it would be like playing a handheld now.

They don´t care about games yet someone came along with a big bag full of money and they signed a contract right away. As if they would need any money???... I always found this story was kind of weird.

Now they ended up in the worst of all games, where mainly kids drive them, or try to.

Where these kids are hitting a curve at 220 mph or crash them at full speed.

They get no benefit out of this.

But hey, they got such a good reputation they can easily s**t on the gaming industry, right? After all gamers are not their "clientel" anyway.

Which is also ironic since I know a Porsche owner who is thinking about making the switch to GT6.

Yes, I intended the above post to be full of irony he he. Because it is not true that within the users of games like GT and FM wasn´t any potentially Porsche customers. But they seem to think that way.
