It may be possible that Polyphony get the rights for Porsche race cars?

Look at the list of Porsche vehicles in GTR 2 (2006) :
Porsche 993 GT2
Porsche 911 Biturbo
Porsche 911 GT3 Cup
Porsche GT3-RS
Porsche GT3-RSR

Even though I don't think this argument can hold, saw that around 2006 Forza 1 and Forza 2 doesn't have either a problem with Porsche license before EA obtains exclusive rights to Porsche...

Pretty confident that GT6 will not have Porsches.

Can someone explain to me how did turn10 do to include Porsche cars in their game ?

From Turn10:
As many of you know, since the beginning of the Forza franchise, the Porsche license has been available only through a sub-licensing deal with EA. In Forza 3, we were able to feature more than 35 different Porsche models by offering to collaborate with EA. For Forza 4, we were looking forward to adding even more Porsche cars, and we were especially looking forward to featuring multiple Porsche experiences in our new Autovista mode. In the end, however, EA couldn’t see their way towards collaborating again.

We’ve asked our contacts at EA to reconsider their position frequently and regularly over the last 18 months. We also reached out to various influential people in gaming to lobby on our behalf, and on your behalf, but that was to no avail.
While we respect EA’s need to run their business as they see fit, we’ve regularly collaborated in the past and hope we can find our way back to that approach. Forza had the exclusive license for all Ferrari cars, for example, on the Xbox and PC platforms. But at the end of the day, we’ve always found that we just weren’t willing to block other racing games from having Ferraris outright, as we believed that this would do nothing but hurt the racing ecosystem.

Jesus christ, what kind of contracts did EA sign with Porsche, seriously.

Only thing I know is that the first part should go something like this:

"Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG & Electronic Arts, Inc. agree that Porsche motor vehicles will solely be portrayed in the video games and related media published by the later. This agreement isn't affected but how tremendously rubbish are said media published or how poorly modelled are the motor vehicles in it. The agreement also disregards the possible, and actual, existance of better media published by far more competent and critically appreciated companies. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG reserves the right to deny the license of of portraying the motor vehicles to anyone that shows great skill and passion at doing so. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG also reserves the right to deny the license to publishers that aim to portray Porsche motor vehicles in all their glory and realistically showcase their legendary driving dynamics, instead prefering to award the license to publishers that have no idea whatsoever of how a car should handle".

It may be off by a word or two but, you know, it's essentially that :grumpy:

From what I've read of when someone contacted Porsche about it basically in plain English Porsche are perfectly happy for EA to handle their brand/image in video games. They just gave full power to EA to do with what they felt best.

Seems like madness but that's what happened and continues to happen. EA operates Porsche in the digital world.

EA had the exclusive license since 2000. When they extended the license a year ago, they tightened it up even further.

Too bad, it would be something if PD could go over Porsche's head and straight to Volkswagen AG to grant access to Porsche cars. And we're missing out on history now that the Porsche LMP1 is at Le Mans right now.

I'd be happy with six premium RUFs.

I mean, if RUFs aren't restricted, surely Polyphony Digital should focus on those?

Exactly, there's no excuse if they don't get lots of RUFs if Porsche is not available. Unless of course there are implications with RUF, but we haven't seen anything implying it.

I highly doubt Porsche will be in GT6, and I'm not too bothered about that either.

Although I won't complain if Porsche does make an appearance!

Porsche is the only remaining manufacturer of note missing from GT.

It would be best if we did get them in GT6 but RUF is a very acceptable alternative as long as PD give the brand some of their premium love.

I wouldn't say no to RUF, but my problem with them is that Porsches belong in a racing game as race cars, and with GT6's apparent focus on the GT3 series there's a real gaping hole without the 911 in it.

There are a couple of loopholes (much like RUF) that could be exploited, one being Kremer, who built their own versions of the 935, 936, 962, 911GT2 and 911GT1.

Ruf, Gemballa will do

RUF yes, Gemballa no, they're only a tuner.

I can't find any details on those but unless they're classed a manufacturer and use unstamped chassis like RUF they're also a no go.

True, but they're really doesn't seem to be a way around it.

EA has monopolised one of the (maybe even the) top motorsport brands.

It was confirmed by Kaz that every car from GT5 will be in GT6, which means that all the RUF's from GT5 will be in GT6.
