Will GT6 have Porsche in it?

I would like to hope we will see some iconic Porsches in GT6(speedster, 959, 930 turbo, 928, Lemans prototypes, etc.). I'd be surprised if we don't at least see the 918. The NSX and TS030 would HAVE to be included due to their hybrid tech and I don't see PD(and Porsche for that matter), wanting to miss out on presenting these type cars and technology to the current GT Community and new GT players that may have never tried the series.

My view is that if PD can charge money for Paint DLC, then they have no excuse to not include Porsche as DLC.

It's not quite as simple as "well, if we can charge money for it, anything is possible!"

T10 had a previous agreement that, for whatever reason, EA didn't agree with during the initial release of FM4. For, again, whatever reason, a deal was reached later on to cover the DLC pack.

The thing is, any deals with EA in relation to Porsche are done on an individual, case-by-case basis. There's no telling if EA would allow it to be sub-licensed out to PD for any price, nevermind whatever T10 paid.

I still imagine how awesome it would be to have Porsche featuring in GT6 (Kaz was worth to deal with EA first), but doesn't seem to easy to get though.

Anyone know if this is indefinitely or does EA's license is set to expire at some point?

Sucks that porsche will probably never be in GT, so many great race and road cars.

Quite right.

While they may look very, very similar the differences between them make the inclusion of both marques important.

Nothing from Porsche is quite like a Yellowbird and nothing from Ruf is quite like a GT2 or GT3 road car.

Thankyou Scaff and tired tyres for the extra info I had assumed Ruf made all models this has changed my view on this after some google work I am now wanting Porsche in GT6.

-It seems every racing game has RUFS (and some that have both Porsche and RUF: FM4). If there's not one premium RUF in GT6, I'll lose my lid.

I know a few people inside the racing/motoring side of EA, they have told me that there is no way in hell they'll ever give Porsche to GT.

EA own all the rights to Porsche for NFS games. Highly unlikely it will be in GT6 Im gonna hold my hands up right now and say there will not be any Porsche's in GT6 Or ever for that fact. :(

Maybe more Porsche Tune companies like Gemballa?

Unless they produce full on cars From the chassis up like RUF and don't just tune Porsches, there's a good chance that isn't happening.

Well, if no Porsche ever, I hope PD widen the track of the '71 ZG, give us all body styles of every Skyline and racing versions. Its the only way PD can try to keep us at bay wih the absence of Porsche.

Let's hope so.

They've snatched the rights for newer Pagani's too.

Have they? They had a timed exclusive on the Huayra but that has now passed and plenty of other games have it. Are you saying they'll have a similar deal for any future Pagani's?

They already have, Codemasters are paying to use the Huayra in in Grid 2, there's no Porsche because EA prices the license extortionately.

They're paying Pagani though, not EA, so I don't get your point. SMS also included the Huayra in pCARS and they licensed it from Pagani, not EA.

Im sure I saw it in Forza 4 as well.

No they haven't. Any "Exclusive" deal is a timed exclusive deal with Pagani. Otherwise, Pagani wouldn't appear at all in Assetto Corsa, Project CARS and others. If anyone is paying for the rights to have Pagani and their cars in their game, they are paying Pagani.

If you want Porsche your going to have to buy another game or system.

Not necessarily (unless you just are reffering to Forza), You would just have to basically buy any NFS game to get your Porsche fix.

has anyone here read the gtpedia at all??

Probably, not sure what that has to do with it though. It was well known before that book that GT3 featured a Porsche but it was locked away when they didn't get a license.
