The first thing I'd do would buy BOTH GT5 and GT5P so I can steal credits from GT5P...

Wasted time? With that logic your always wasting your time playing anything, whats the point in playing GT5 and GT6 if you cant transfer all the years worth of cars over to GT15 on the PS7?

For PS7 it's GT 13 and GT 14 :sly:

A few cars from GTPSP for me(ZR1 Vette,Pace Car and a few more)

Hoping to transfer credits from GTPSP so i can get the #88 Amp Engery Chevy Impala(Around $500,000 to $2,000,000 i guess)

I've been thinking about it lately. I've got maybe.... around 4 to 5 million credits worth of cars in my GT5P garage. (1 F2007 and around 2 of every car except for F2007)

I'm making 2 profiles. 1 as a cash profile- get as much money as possible, and test good cars on the Nurburgring, for loads of fun. Plus, it allows my dad to do whatever he wants on that profile, so he'll be happy.

The other profile as a no-cheat profile. Fresh start, begin with Sunday cup-like cars, then gradually get up there to beat every region gaining as much A-spec points possible (hopefully they'll be in there)

It'll be a lot of fun. 👍

I couldn't transfer. I've waited so long and patiently up until this point, so why would I rush the game? I'd rather enjoy the game and take it slowly.

I was thinking about this recently, I don't want the cars but I would like the cash so I might transfer GT5P cash & cars and then sell all the cars in GT5 before I even start playing.

Even if i had any of those games, i wouldnt.

I really like to build up my garage from scratch and work for that new exhaust which would make me able to win the turbo championship and so on...

Half the GT experience would be gone by transferring data :)

I'd feel like i'm cheating if I transferred cars, and i've never cheated in Gran Turismo before. I'll start from scratch, and maybe when I get far enough that the additional 4500 cars won't matter much, i'll transfer them over.

If they make it possible I certainly will, I don't think it will distract me from winning every new car available, I just won't have to ever buy a Cappucino again....:)

I originally thought no, but there are a couple of cars in GTPSP that I would really like to drive in GT5, so I'm not sure any more.

No, i want to start GT5 from scratch.

I just hope there arn't any 'exclusive' cars that can only be gained by transferring data or buying a premium version of the game, because it really annoys me when they do that. A unique colour/Livery is ok, but not a unique car...

-> I hope PD can implement transfer from both GT5P and GTPSP. Sure I will start from scratch (in races), but I have a garage similar to Jay Leno. Plus, I main purpose on why I play GT5 is to collect and drive each car (just like what I'm doing in GTPSP).

I have two accounts on my PS3, so I'll transfer the cars to one and my playtime will be the best of both worlds. I love playing through and earning my cars, so the other account will just be for those long drives in dream cars. :embarrassed:

When it comes down to it, I've already earned/purchased 1300 cars in GT PSP, so why wouldn't I want to take them for a spin in GT5, and finally with my wheel.

Yea, I think that I will transfer my purchases later on or if not (because I am usually impatient) I will transfer my cars early to kick ass online, but it would kinda ruin my Campaign Mode.

The only thing I'd transfer would be the license tests. Those have always bored me to death and I'm almost completely sure that those will still be the same old selves. Naturally, first I'd drive them through and if I had started the game all over again I'd simply transfer the data.
I just doubt that that's an option xP .

I tend to work my way up from scratch to a certain level, but once I've experienced all of the tracks and tourneys with most of the cars, I'll park that game and hunt down either a 100% game save or at least one that has bucket loads of cash to allow you to play the game however you want. Purists may loathe that approach, but there comes a point where racing the same courses over and over and over just to save enough money to get a new car becomes a bit tiresome. Still, we'll just have to see how the progression system works in GT5.

It's my hope that, given his experience of getting a race licence for the 'Ring 24hr race and that of two GT Academies thus far and what Lucas and Jordan went through to get their race licences, GT Licence tests will not exist in GT5.

After all, one does not get a race licence by sitting tests - aside from a medical suitability, short written test and an assessed drive for the basic race licence. They are achieved by driving races and, for high level licences, by winning races.

The Licence Tests have always been important in teaching the physics of a given GT game, but their importance in what races you have access to is overplayed to excess.

Hm.. I thought I'd transfer my GT5P data to GT5 if my PS3 didn't break... I have only one car in my current data, so I'm afraid it's meaningless even if I do it :(

However I'll be able to have more time to enjoy playing instead ;)

I won't be transferring my PSP garage to GT5 but I can see why some people will. Whether you do this largely depends on your circumstances and how you wish to play GT5. Some people might prefer to jump straight online and have a large amount of cars to choose from. There are some people who don't have many hrs in the day to play GT5 and will prefer to get a head start by transferring their garage.

Lets not forget GT5 will be completely different to previous GT games. Those who think GT5 will be similiar to GT4 will be sadly disappointed and you maybe forced to play the game differently. So although im saying no to transferring my garage, if the emphasis of GT5 is towards the online side of the game then I might be tempted to transfer my garage. I don't want to miss out on the fun of playing online by spending many hrs aqquring credits for my cars.
