Have you never played a Gran Turismo game before? :)

There is always 1 garage. You keep the cars you buy and modify in the GT mode in that garage.
In GT mode you can only drive the cars in your garage.

In Arcade mode, however, you can access the cars from your garage (for single-races, time-trials, split-screen, etc), but you also get a selection of unmodified cars that you can drive. This is not a garage.

Normally you would unlock these cars via progression through the races in Arcade mode. In previous titles you'd unlock tracks, also.
If you transfer from GTPSP you will simply unlock the cars that would require a bit of grinding to unlock in arcade mode.
I don't remember that all of the available cars in GT mode can be locked in Arcade mode in previous GT games. But this time in GT5 we will have at least 830 cars in arcade mode, because GT PSP has 830 cars and we can transfer anyone of them into GT5.

However, where is the official statement about "GTPSP cars being transferred for arcade mode only"? At least I only see this official information, which I have posted this month. It doesn't mention anything about "arcade mode only".

I'm assuming most won't. I could be wrong, but personally, I wouldn't like playing GT5 for the first time with.. say a GT by citroen. It defeats the purpose of the game and I'm some what against it. So what's your opinion on it???

Me to. When you start with a fast car like a ferrari you will mis a big part of the game.

Yes and No. If it lets you import cars one by one from Prologue I'll probably take a couple of standard cars for the lower events (R34 Skyline, Focus ST and one or two others) to save the hassle of having to earn money to enter the early events. I won't be taking Ferrari's, Ford GT's, Viper's etc. If you have to import your entire garage then I won't be doing it.

If the prologue data is for arcade mode alone then I'll import same goes for gt psp.

The only datat I would like to transfer to career from gt psp would be licences to get going faster
& later on play the waived ones to achive gold.

Most probably won't, however, I want to test out the new tuning options to their fullest and in the process I'm sure I will make mistakes and waste money hence, I want a lot of it to start with.

I voted no, but I like that idea on transferring then selling it all. But wont they all be available in arcade only?

With gt6 not coming anytime soon I think I will start from scratch. But if it's arcade mode only then I will transfer so I can battle with friends asap.

Exactly. Arcade mode will offer a wide selection of cars immediately anyway, probably a number of supercars and race cars which would take a lot of credits to buy in GT mode. This is how GT is.

No harm in increasing the selection of Arcade mode cars.

No way. I want to go through the full game experience, and I am definitely not in a hurry to have it completed, since I've been waiting a long time for it and it will take pretty long for the next version to be released.
I will manage to transfer a little amount of credit though, if needed, so I can get started with my actual car (Toyota celica 7th gen 2zzge)

By the way: in the options menu video only the psp transfer option was shown up, do you think, GT5 will automaticly search for savegames on our PS3s and then aks if to import or not? Can´t remember this on GT4. In my opinion there was an option in the garage menu. Correct me if i´m wrong.

I plan to upload the full grid from GT5P, and I am glad I didn't waste time trying to accumulate money like from GT3-->GT4.. I do plan to unlock all the cars on my own as a secondary anyways and will be working on the liscence tests anyways... I will purchase all DLC if there is any was well. I won't be skimpin' on this game.. 👍
I have heard they will only work in arcade, if that is the case I won't mind earning a 2nd one to be able to do the career.
Either way I have three garages waiting to transfer, two PS3's with discs and a HDD download... I have waited too long for anything to go wrong..
*peace*

Yep, all of the 430+ standard GTPSP cars I've collected will be transfered in GT5 so I don't have to buy them.

I dont see the big deal why people feel like its cheating or it spoils the experience? I definatly put in alot of time to get what cars I have on GTPSP. And since ive lost countless cars over the years due to lost or stolen memory cards I think its a good idea that You can transfer cars. It sucks that its only for Arcade mode if thats entirely true. And some people have jobs or other things to do besides play games all day. I will spend most of my time playing friends anyway so it would be nice to jump right in and kick some ass using the cars I want to use and not have to wait every so many days to collect all the cars I want. I am worried about will they transfer over cause I have a modded psp with custome firmware, cause when I attach my psp to ps3 it definatly marks it as bootleg LLS
