If we go 24H track, the cars will spread out by the time we get to the Nordschliefe. And besides, since these cars are slower, it'll be easier to pass cleanly as long as the drivers are decent.

Meh, slower cars don't mean easier clean passes by any stretch of the imagination. iRacing has taught me that a easy pass is only when the person in front lets you past. The same is true here. These are touring cars- bumping is allowed, and will be dished out. People will wreck. It's a nature of the type of racing.

The ring is very narrow, so a clean pass is next to impossible, side swiping will happen quite a bit. On GT5, even some of the best drivers try to pass in turns that aren't suitable for passing. That's where people start to have issues with their "I'm faster, and I couldn't get past... Therefore, he/she MUST'VE been blocking!"

If we do a enduro at the ring, you'll have to be ready for, what people last season would call "A dirty race"

And since I'm rambling, Mel, conti starts in less than a half hour... And shall we Irace tonight?

Plus, these cars on racing hards is for fun, not simulation...

I hope to make the test, can't for sure say I can though,

I understand the reservation's with running these car's on the 24hr or type V or even le man's, I 95% trust everyone so far on the thread to run hard and clean, but I think both circuit's require a different racing style, as let's face it endurance racing does,

If the fear of madrid all over again is fresh in your head just run the event later in the series, penalties will be adjudicated and people should be a lot more calm,

these track's you really need to work with who is around you as oppose to hindering them, because you will hinder yourself big time!

3-4 pairs of team mates working together down the Mulsanne or back straight of the nord would be and incredible sight for a replay

Are you still accepting entries? And what are the performance specs for an entry?

I'm not sure that this is running. If we can get enough entries, I'll run it. If not, :( no ITCC Season II.

But, if you invite your friends, or we get people joining... We'll have some good races.

Specs are set at 276 horsepower and 1200 kilograms as a base set, which will be changed on a car-to-car basis.

For example, the Volkswagen Scirocco will run 276 @ 1225 (fast FF,) while the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X will run 276 @ 1250 kg (normal AWD,) and a fast FR will run 1300 kg. (Toyota FR-S GT86 thingy for example.)

There will be no more "easy wins" for FR cars, or 4WD cars. FF will be back in contention this season.

I don't see any mention of when the races will take place and the tire rules need clarification. :odd:

Otherwise it looks good. 👍

You didn't see that? I'll check if it's there.

Day: Saturday
Time: midday EST (up for discussion)

Tires: Racing hards/sports softs (Use both in longest race, 1 mandatory pit stop)

Checked it all but couldn't see it.

Time rules me out at the moment though, so no worries. :)

There's a big thing saying "Tires" with a full explanation of where/how the tires are used. :)

It doesn't offer an explanation of whether it's mandatory to use both in a race or which you run for the shorter races etc., not that I can see anyway. :)

Nice to see you responding in german :) Yes i would like to use a BMW. The 330i would be good but also the 120i as dave said and the 120d would be great. Might be interesting to have a diesel in the grid :)

Yes, the 330i (4 doors) AND 120 series will fit, given that they're (120s) three doors.

Also, you're welcome for the German reply. I speak fast fluent German, but not on GTPlanet. :( <--- Not allowed.

Was the engine capacity 3000cc or 2800cc? The 330i will fit with the 3000cc capacity,

As for the language, I find it racist that GTP won't let people write in German, seeing as every GTP post on Facebook I have ever seen is in french,

Mais oui monsieur, we're quite awesome.

As for the engine capacity, I'll look into it, but might allow this one exception, given the 330i's touring car heritage in real life.

That's quite surprising. I allways love to meet people who speak my language 👍

Back to topic: I think I might give the 120d a go because it's kind of a challenge :)

120d was what I was planning on using if the time fit. It's one of the best handling cars in the game. 👍

Yes it corners extremely good with the 50/50 weight distribution.
After mounting a rear wing it's even faster although it added a bit of understeer but the rear got more stable. :)

i'd like to join the series. hope it can get running.
not sure on a car yet i wanna do some browsing

Hey man. :) Welcome aboard. Car choices won't be done for a little while, you've got time. :) Just keep an eye out, some of the faster cars were surprising.

I'm still running it if we're having it.

Welcome back, ready to battle for the championship from a golf course again? :sly: In terms of the races you did make it to, I'd say you could win this championship. In terms of scheduling races, I wish you luck. :)

Because there go my chances.

If you're still taking entries, I'm interested in running either a Volkswagen Golf or Scirocco, or a Subaru Impreza.

All three are okay. :) I like the Golf, and Impreza AND Scirocco as my own choices, mainly because the Volkswagens are good-looking and I own an Impreza.

But, it's really cool to see you join, braun. :)

That means we've got about half a lobby full! :D

Okay. I'll run some tests on each one and get back to you when I make my decision.
Also, those hp and weight figures you mentioned in the first post: Are those minimum or maximum figures?
