Can't really remember what happened in that race, although if I appeared to hit you on purpose, it wasn't intentional. Was trying to stay out of the way so others could pass easily. Sorry.

No you didn't hit me, I was behind you, someone used me as their brakes, and all 3 of us ended up in the grass.

Good races guys: Cudadude, Earth, elmataplata, slicer, DK, linpark, spyhunter, and anyone else I fogot to mention..great races..close finishes.

I've been doing this a bit also. One or two races a day, and I've had the same experience. It seems that even though I'm in a car which everyone out there should be able to beat, they feel it necessary to punt me anyway. It is still fun.
I managed to pull a second place in the Ferrari 512 in only one race, and certainly wished I had recorded it. But in every other race so far I've been punted to the back. In a number of them I could have definitely been respectively competitive, say top half, if I hadn't been punted. Jerks!

They are in the Ford GT Road car again. I do have some in the Ford GT LM also, but I haven't gotten around to them yet. GTP_drama_Kyd and I fight it out ( OK, he takes the lead and stays there ) for the gold and silver in one of these. It was a good race and one of the few I've run with drama-Kyd.

Hey man, some of the people here are blisteringly fast, so don't feel bad. My best time (in a race on Daytona Road 750pp) in the Ford GT LM is about 1 second per-lap slower than CWR's (well, at least from the times he has posted in the pics above). Drive clean, have fun, and do the best you can. I don't think anyone here expects us all to take the lead in every race. I've run a lot of races with GTP_tagged drivers who don't do very well and I never think anything bad about them.

Are you sure your sources are correct? lol 1 second slower.. Free run is free run, but in race trim, things change.
We got him out to the chat last night, so hopefully he comes back tonight and races with us. Perhaps we could get you to find a free moment tonight Pan?

I did a number of races with the 02 Viper GTS. It also isnt on the pace of the faster cars, but if you drive as if your in a GT2 car up against LMP1 prototypes you can get thru a race pretty unscathed. You just have to learn how to be passed. I found that even letting everyone pass that could catch me that i would still finish top 5 nearly every race, and only got hit once.

Great fun last night I dont think I ever saw so many GTP-ers in a single race!
Unfortunately I was making a lot of mistakes and hardly able to have a race without some sort of mess up (mainly on the first corner and the last right corner before re-entering the oval!)
Apologies to drama-kyd who I couldnt avoid in one of the breaking points luckily you didnt go off the track mate!

That happened to me yesterday. Some nice host disconnected when I was mere meters from the finish line on the final lap, while in 2nd place. There were a few punters, but not too many. I'm firing up the game now and will be joining shortly.
Yeah I gave up playing online earlier, people were trying to pass me in the kink after turn 1 punting me into the walls , grass etc. maybe later today will be better

Yeah, well admittedly I'm going by your posted pics in this thread. My current best (in a race) is 5:27:xxx, so about 1 sec a lap slower than the fastest time you've got posted above (5:24:xxx). I highly doubt I'll be hitting times that fast anytime soon. But I'm reasonably competitive and clean out there, so I'm cool with that. Unfortunately I have also developed a tendency to choke sometimes when I see a lot of GTP drivers on the track. Don't know why, it wasn't a problem early on when you and I and Earth and Slicecom a few others had a series of very good competitive races together. Never a problem when I LAN race in GT4 either... I suspect I get overly worried about taking someone here out. When I'm driving with my non-GTP tag it doesn't happen...
I doubt I'll be out there later tonight as I'll most likely be working, but if I do get some time I'll be sure and join in at the correct times.

That Goutami guy in the Ford GT LM is a ****ing jerk... Blocks EVERYONE even though he is running with 660 points.

I gave myself 1 hour to race tonight and only ended up with a few good races (host quit, and twice I didn't connect with any other GTP drivers!). It was nice seeing you out there again. Wish I had the time to join in more frequently!
I did see a lot of connection issues tonight. One GTP driver (getSehT) in particular was bouncing all over the place in every race (I used to see the same thing happening to CWR on occasion). That makes it terribly difficult to pass cleanly. But despite a couple minor problems (like the host quitting), it was a fun night.

Was it me? GTP_Spyhunter? I have been told by one person that I can get that way. Its weird, though, as I have been host before as well.
Yeah, I was really excited when I got in a race in it was almost all GTP drivers. Had some good ones. Got bumped around in a few, but its all good.
Moose, you got me coming out of the bus stop. No biggie, though, as I was wagging my tail a bit coming off some grass.
Good races last night guys, Sorry for any mayham I might have caused trying to tune the Mine's. CWR what happened to you, a couple times you stop in some really odd places. One in particular was right at the end of the braking point for turn 6. you were there for 2 laps on the 2nd lap I was chasing down another GTPer in a GT LM (same car you were driving/parking). I was right on his tail when he went through you as he hit his brakes. To me it looked like he stopped dead, so I did my best not hit him/you and went into the barrier. Weird stuff.
