I was kind of wondering what you were up to with that GT. The sound is awesome though, but it's hard to beat the sheer speed of the GT LM.

Yeah, it is too bad we got out of sync. I went quickly into tune to change my brake balance back to my previous settings. Only took a sec, but when I came back we were out of sync. I proceeded to take 2 golds and 1 silver in the next three races, which I recorded and which may end up on my YouTube site eventually. So, I *can* drive the Ford GT if my concentration is absolutely 100%. If I get even a little tired, or a family member walks into the room, then I've likely had it.

My best "3-lap Daytona Road 750pp time" in the Ford GT road car is 5:36.876 (unfortunately though, low 5:40's are currently my norm), which isn't fast compared to times in the GT LM, but it is fast enough that I can often take trophies.

Had we not gotten out of sync I'm sure you would have destroyed my times in your GT LM, but it would have been nice to have a few races with GTP tagged players taking the top-spots...

EDK
Good times tonight for sure. GTP_Mr_P, GTP_Luxy, GTP_Jake and GTP_Drama-Kyd were also out there for a few. 👍

Hope no offense taken when I got to the middle of the chicane and held on for dear life as I plowed through the aftermath of an apparent racing incident you had with GTP_SeniorL8R. :nervous:

I got one heck of a tow from the draft and missed my brake point. Ran off the track and ghosted. Even when a car ghosts it's hard to just drive through and that is what happened to GTP_SeniorL8R. Glad you made it through.:)

I'm not loving the Daytona track yet, seems to lack some grip for me using the ps3 pad.

i'm not sure, but i think i notice that with a lot of drivers which i guess use a pad too.

Difficult to pass though

really i thought it gripped pretty good, but it dose for what ever reason seam to punish you a little more for comming in to a corner to hot.

To add spice to this, I'm going to use the Ferrari F40 for the rest of the night

Edit: lol, finished 4th of 10 after first race with just 666pp

Insult to humiltiy!

:) I love it! There really is nothing like doing well in a car you know is difficult to drive. I've been playing with the F40 also (but not on this event), but I've certainly not won anything with it.

Here, I've put up a couple videos from Daytona Road 750pp. I love this event and have been driving it a lot in the Ford GT Road car. Look for "Born For Adventure" and "Be Afraid of Americans" :) in my Gran Turismo 5 or Favorites section:

Hope you enjoy!

I actually got 3rd with a Lotus Elise/Tuned yesterday. :) Hard to beat in the corners, but it fails miserably at the straights.

Thanx for the races people. I've met too many on Daytona Road from here to mention them all. Now I'm going to enjoy the sunshine and get a bit of a tan. :)

Had some good races tonight, mainly with Ravenmaven, but early on I met some others too. Thanks for the races guys.👍 I also raced some fast and clean () Japanese guys tonight, very nice.

Well, I had a number of great races over the past few days - I was running very much "in the zone", with only a couple exceptions. But today no such luck. Just ran 3 races in the Ford GT again and felt like I was fighting not to be dead last, so very much "not in the zone" today. (I didn't actually do quite that badly, but it certainly felt like it!)

Anyone else here experience this in-the-zone / out-of-zone phenomenon very often?

This is to all the over driving maniacs, the jealous punters, the hacks, the idoits who don't care for a single other car out there..This is for them.

If I wasn't punted so often, I would have better results..

Had a number of excellent races out there earlier this evening, including a few with drama_Kyd and a few other GTPers. I have video of a couple of them, at least one of which will definitely make it online sometime soon.

CWR, it was great to see you out in the white Ford GT, too bad we both got punted in that race (and too bad I had just switched to the Ford GT LM). I bailed about 1/4 lap after you did. Most of the races I was in tonight were pretty clean though...

I am sure that the GT is just as fast as the GT LM because of the RBE. :) I love driving the Ford GT..such a fun car to drive..no one really drives it..its a misunsterstood car that is frankly easy to drive..

Thanks Pan, see you out there

I'll be driving now for a while with my friend here (using my id) ..hope to see you. (not sure where we'll be driving)

Great racing tonight Timmpaq, Ravenmaven, Earth and nd4holdenspd....... i had a ball.

Sent you a friend request.:embarrassed:

I keep getting caught out (and crashing) by someone who is simply too slow, it happens all the time at turn 5 (the wide angle, cut in, right-hand hairpin)

Cheers for the request :sly:

All the backmarkers are in too deep there, and if you're in the firing line..... you're done for :nervous:

It's a turn where you are on ..... then off.... then on again at the apex on the way out.... well at least i do anyways :nervous:

Man..the chat is EMPTY!!...I wanted to throw down some rubber..
