Definitely some good races last night, just wish there was a little less traffic. I kept getting started at the back of the grid in 11th or 12th spot, and it usually took the whole three laps to get past the punters and catch up to the one or two well-driven cars at the front. On my best race of the night, I managed to go from 11th to 1st. Took me a whole lap to get around EDK and just eeked past RUI on the last straight.

@RUI: You should definitely try a faster car, you'd be hard to catch 👍

@EDK: Good driving in the S2000, by far the best-driven S2000 I've seen yet. I'm really enjoying Daytona too. If you can get clear of traffic with another evenly matched driver/car, it's great fun trading places two or three times a lap.

Nice comments 👍 We had some good stuff going a few times, but I would normally make a tiny mistake and you would pull away, or you couldn't quite get past the punters and would finish one spot behind me.

The back of the grid thing is the reason I set my PP to 747 or 748 or whatever it was. It at least gets you in the front half of the grid so you stand some sort of chance at avoiding punters. But the S2000 with 747pp is no match for the big American V-8's on the straight sections, unless I can catch a draft .

GTP_Div - I was braking early, I rarely drive pp750 and was trying a new setup. But maybe you could hit me more? Maybe the first lap my early braking threw you but on the following two laps you think you'd expect it. Sure you pulled over and waited when you pushed me off the track on the final lap, but still... every corner it seemed you rammed me and twice on the banking. You were in the faster car, you would have had me on the banking. I wasn't all over the racing line. I held my line and drafting me on the banking was a no brainer, even on the outside (which given I set the car up to run low was your only option, not moving me off the lower grove).

Next time be more patient.

On the banking you were all over the place, it looked like lag to me. I just punched it and hoped for the best. On my screen you were all over the place. I can't predict lag, sorry.

You looked the same to me. Must have been lag on all sides. I'm
a wheel user. I hope PD does something about lag in WE. It's almost not worth racing in them now.

I'm in the US but a PAL racer. I rarely have lag with non WE events. I wonder if I pop the NTSC disc in if I'd hit different servers and minimize lag?

I hope next time we can race sans lag...

There was some good racing tonight! But only if the person you were racing had a GTP tag on their name. Except GERMANTIGER [JP], he was OK, although in our drag to the finish he did get desperate and nudge me, but our race was close for the entire 3 laps.

I beg to differ on the good racing...... i had 8 races there tonight, yours was one of two that were completed without a disconnection.

Enjoyed those races, especially with Ravenmaven and SeniorL8R, a few bumps here and there but all good fun. 👍

I noticed, but I was being held up quite a bit by the guy in front of me, slow, but not slow enough to overtake easily.

Hey, you were behind the wheel of the harder car to drive; cheer up!

I was out with the GT LM yesterday evening (more like this morning really to me), deciding that if I was going to have to tame one of the more powerful rear wheel drive cars I should go for the mightiest of them all and I have to say I quite liked it; the driving is just so much more demanding that it gets you much more involved and the satisfaction of nailing a corner just right and flooring the thing through the next straight is immense – of course the number of times you mess up also tends to increase…

Had a lot of races with people from here and lots of fun in between the punters and quitters though I have to say that what’s killing much of the fun is the lag because it’s near impossible to race in close packs without risking a collision with a car that just wasn’t there!

Was leading a parade of tuned vipers and vettes with a Frenchman driving a GTR, that was fun.

Hope no offense taken when I got to the middle of the chicane and held on for dear life as I plowed through the aftermath of an apparent racing incident you had with GTP_SeniorL8R.

Also had fun following Drama-Kyd in the S2000 for a few laps and trying to keep up.

Hoping this event does not go away when the next update happens, but afraid it will.

I've been having a great time out on there over the past few days. I've rarely been running into any other GTP drivers, but have seen a few. Saw _Div out there earlier today while I was giving it another go in the Ford GT (road car). I've pulled in some wins now with that beast, but if you make just one tiny little error then it is back to the back of the pack for the race :-(

I've have been recording a few and will post in the ORV thread when I get a few of them online.
