I've never used Daytona Road (only on the test to get the cup), so I'll be driving slowly trying to recognize the circuit, but I'll be there each 10 mins (following the thread's name, which I think that is the actual time table for this event and not the 00, 12, 24... , but if I'm wrong please tell me) 👍

I don't know about while braking, but going into that high speed lefty, after I had an off, I had no idea you were beside me! I thought the Red Viper behind was pushing me left somehow LOL, but I may not have been giving you room, sorry about that. I came back on, got in front of the Viper, didn't even occur to me there might be someone else beside me. I think you were in the blind spot, because I looked left and couldn't see anyone.


Had an awesome race with Ravenmaven just before, well done mate.👍 I thought I was going to hit you on the high speed bank, but the Mine's had just enough turn to avoid that.

Sorry guys, was a mess in the last race.
My pedals got stuck between the table and the seat, resulting in
the accelerator being stuck.
Took me a couple of laps to get it sorted out. (while driving)

No problem mate, I saw your message on the XMB, but you're a bit on confusion, I'll explain you:

The message I posted you above wasn't about that race you're talking about, it was about the race before, on which you were using an Art Morrison Corvette and before the 2 chicanes, I brake a bit late and I touched you but you didn't noticed it because it was a so little touch, you even't didn't lose the control. It was my fault anyway due to a late brake 👍

And about the race you're talking, I was following you and that red viper and I saw when you were off the road with that red viper too, so I passed you both and yes, I was before that left turn on highspeeds (I really don't know if Daytona Road have names for each turn, I hope you undertand the place I'm talking haha). But you're a bit confused because I was not a your left, I was at your right, so there's the reason for that thing you said about didn't see me when looking at left. In fact, what happened is just that when you came to the road, you didn't saw me at your right and you pushed me a little bit so I get into the grass. And then I tried to get the control of my car so I think that there I did hit you while trying to come back to the road so you on the next turn were off the road one more time. And on that moment, was when you saw me waiting for you on the exterior of the turn. It was simply because after you pushed me off to the right, I tried to came back to the road but I did it in a manner that could make you lose the control and I though you were off on the other turn by 2nd time due to that, so I waited you because it was my fault too

Yeah I saw it, it was 2 seconds below Ravenmaven on that moment so I were watching both of you above. It was a pretty good race.

You're a brave man to try and race that in 750PP, it's not the grippiest thing to begin with and you're racing against a number of cars which have downforce. I think oversteer is unavoidable.

If you reaaaally want to race that car you'd be better off tuning it for Suzuka 600PP, I've raced it in that class before and whilst not the quickest car you can still surprise a few people 👍

That was a typo, I did look right, but couldn't see you. Ah well, I made sure to push you ahead of me when you waited, I deserved to be behind seeing it was my fault it all happened at all, despite it being a completely unfortunate turn of events. I bet the Red Viper was extremely happy to see it happen so he could pass us though hah hah.👍


Edit: thugbear2005, review one of my cars at The Lion's Den, and I can give you my setup. The car will never be fast, but it will make it more enjoyable for you.




Edit 2: Almost had another good race with Ravenmaven, shame about what happened at turn 1. N00b in that white R35 tried to take me out, and the Ford GT has a stupidly rediculous advantage on the straights.

I got a huge draft off of you and carried way too much speed into the turn. A total mental error.

LOL, the biggest problem (I don't know if this has ever happened to you), is when you are overtaking someone on the outside of turn 1, and the slightest nudge means you won't be able to turn and pull up fast enough for the corner. It's a tough and testing turn 1, part of the reason I'm beginning ti like it.

I’ve been having quite some fun at DR with my GTR! I know it’s not the fastest car out there – and that I really should be using some American rear wheel drive like the corvette or GT LM – but when I manage to get away from the punters I can usually finish in top 3 or even get 1st place. The final lap is usually hard to do though, as most times you keep seeing the faster cars gaining on the fast half of the track; and if a GT LM, a Vette or S2000 do get to you, then there’s no way you can regain top spot unless they make a mistake!

Some fun races last night for sure. 👍 👍 Luxy and I seemed to be perpetually stuck in 3rd and 4th place.

I'm an American and I still prefer to use the S2000, so your car selection is fine.

I also like the Mines Skyline there, the brakes are better so it's a little more forgiving, but something about the big wing on the back of the S2000 that makes it OK to be running @ Daytona.

This has been my favorite online event, I hope they find a way to keep it in the fold, even if it's not international.
