SimRaceDriver: (Cant find your selected car PM me dude! Your times still count!)
Section I: 49.106
Section II: 51.277

Again, sorry for the delay, here is the list of final times everyone got, so compare and yes I know I'm not listed but a friend of mine had a tragedy happen this week so I am not at home. I will add my info later today along with the point stuff. Thx for your patience!

Here we go its time to kick off the highly anticipated and highly controversial World Rally Championship Series! We will be starting our series in a tight little track known as Ice Arena. This should be a good warm up for the longer races to come.

Track – Ice Arena, Forward (Section I) AND Backward (Section II)

Rules – Please follow all rules outlined in our initial WRC Thread

Forum – Please feel free to discuss strategies, any and all “T” Times, just no final times.

Time Submission – What I need from you now by Sunday Nov. 20th @ 12:00PM (PST) is a Private Message for week 1 with BOTH Section Times.

Leaderboard – You can find the running Leaderboard at this address:
http://www.luxy.ca/gt4/leaderboards/wrc/
Here is the address to the stage and overall points leaderboard:
http://www.jumpace.com/gt/WRC/LB.htm

Side Dish – This series is geared toward consistency, most everyone knows the tracks better forward than reverse so to get a good overall time try to get them as close to even as possible. Good Luck and Have Fun!

***NOTE!!!:I would like to make a little announcement concerning this stage and others where the end of the 'road' on the sides is banked. Because the car's naturally rise up as soon as you get close to them, I am going to allow a little grey area. If your car rises up with the natural slope, (like here at Ice Arena and you'll see at Chamonix on a BIG corner) and you may not be sure if its a hit from your driving line or from your car rising as you drive, then count it AS LEGAL. If you have any questions about this, feel free to drop me a line. I have run thru my replays and have found this to be a little problem here and there. I decided to take a day to consider it and this is my decision, hopefully it will allow more clean laps and enough time to re-do some if you disregarded a 'close' lap in the past.

Excellent! I'm looking forward to some great racing! 👍

Jerome, the link for the leaderboard isn't working.

Thats because I JUST finished it...lol

Now I know its not really pretty but its all I could manage, especially since I was waiting to hear from Luxy by now. But incase u guys get lost or something here's how it works:

The root link is the Overall Point Standings for the whole series

The "Week I" link is the overall leaderboard from BOTH sections, where your T Times are added up for a total stage time.

The "Section I/II" is a link to that sections total T Times.

Hope that makes sense to everyone. I'm gonna input my information here in a sec so you can see how it works

Awesome picture there ... really sexy looking Peugeot ;)

I'm looking forward to taking some laps here this afternoon and I'll give severyone some splits to laugh at.

Ive got the Ruf lined up at the ice arena entrance and beginning to wonder if this is a good idea......

Oh man I can't wait until I get home. This is going to be so much fun. I must resist the walls. The walls are the devil.

Good News and Bad News:

Good News is that I JUST heard from Luxy! WOOT!!! Unfortunately I had JUST finished my leaderboard...lol. But I"ll keep my leaderboard as a backup, FYI. http://www.jumpace.com/gt/WRC/LB.htm So for the time being LB Updated.

Bad News is that eventhough I could log on to his site, when I tried to chane the car name from "Puegot Rally Car" to "Puegot Rallye Car" I got an error, so I'll keep ya guys posted on that but here is the link to it anyway and keep bot handy until further notice I gues:
http://www.luxy.ca/gt4/leaderboards/wrc/

Here's my current splits, I had to run these earlier in the week so I could make the LB.

T2 - 40.416
4WD -
T1 - 18.510
T2 - 35.792
Historic -
T1 - 19.602
T2 - 37.843
WRC -
T1 - 18.275
T2 - 35.167

Section II (reverse)

:(

Thought I should roll off some times for my Clio.

Forward:
T1 - 19.711
T2 - 38.964

Reverse:
T1 - 13.724 (Had a 13.0xx......grrrr)
T2 - 32.302

I'm much happier with my forwards time than my reverse time, I can maybe cut a second off my forwards time, and hopefully 2 off my reverse. Although, I think reverse is a better track.

But Jerome, you should know how to make everyones first week difficult!

Rather ticked off (bad, bad day) and ready to race...

Damn...so this is why American coupes suck in the snow....

T1: 20.541
T2: 40.074

Reverse Course

T1: 13.910
T2: 33.335

Still searching for the perfect 4WD car to participate...

Yeah sorry man, things are a little hectic with this leaderboard stuff, so for now use the jumpace.com LB.

Okay, Team Peugeot has some splits :)

206@Ice Arena (WRC)

Forward: 19.634 - 38.177
Reverse: 13.650 - 31.976

205@Ice Arena (Historic)
Forward: 20.799 - 39.475
Reverse: 13.737 - 32.239

Lots of time to gain on both, but just wanted to lay down 10 laps to get the ball rolling. I'm LOVING my 206 Rally Car ... sexy, sounds great and ... um ... small ... ?

Not going to run the 2WD just yet - I'll get the track down and see what sort of times you guys are putting down for that one first.

Excellent work Kolyana! Do you ever feel like u have a superhero identity with all this racing and everything? I sure do. But then again I still read comics all the time too...lol. Anyone else feel like a superhero or supervillian?

jump_ace

I have the car that looks like Darth Vader. :D

I may have found a 4WD car that works for me.... The Acura DNX, 391 hp, Stage 3 weight reduction. That's it. The Mine's Lancer is really nice, but kinda slow. More testing to finish...

And now reverse. I'm not entirely familiar with stage 1 in reverse just yet so there's plenty of room to gain here.

Once again this is with the Starion.
T1: 12.597
T2:31.068

Okay u guys I have it all figured out, thanks to the Man Who Needs NO Introduction...LUXY!!!!

Running Leaderboard, forward section is the middle section of T1 and T2 splits, the bottom is reverse with the total for both on top! So throw this in your bookmarks:
http://www.luxy.ca/gt4/leaderboards/wrc/

Here is the link to the stage and point totals:
http://www.jumpace.com/gt/WRC/LB.htm

Again I want to apologize for the delay and confusion but we are now all good to go!
If u need ANYTHING shoot me a pm! :)

Now I just need to update the board. 👍

LB Updated, Luxy thx again that was SO freakin' easy!

Some early T times

Modern Rally: Mitsubishi Evo VI rally car
Section Forward:
T1 '18.083
T2 '35.350

Section Reverse:
T1 '12.115
T2 '29.833

I will try getting some pics up once I figure out the cars a bit better. It looks like running every class may be a bit of a strain, but I'll see how it goes. 👍

Nice job, Maxzillian 👍 👍 Lets show everyone how us Kansans play in the snow and ice! :mischievous:

Historic: Stage 1

T1) 18.931

T2) 36.675

This what you guys are
going to see alot of!👍

And this my lame attempt of trying to create snow fall.

Also, Thanks Luke!

A 36.6?! Jeez, I need to give those SUVs a little more credit! Nicely done, I can't wait to see some split times near the end of the week. :)

LB Updated, since you have just put one section on the table BHawk I just used it for both on the leaderboard. When I put just one it....it no likey mucho. So whenever u get section 2 posted I'll update. Same for everyone, feel free to post just sections at a time no biggie. Although I have no clue why its putting the divisions in twice like that...Luxy? Kolyana? Anyone any pointers? And no I did't type them in twice thank you..lol.

Luxy will be the one to figure that out ... there has been something not quite right since day one of the board, because when (on the WRS one) you have a multi-lap race, it gets confused with the controller-types. He'll have to look at that.

Also, it would be nice to color code the different divisions or something, perhaps?

Good idea Kolyana! I'll look into the color thing.

t1=13.034 t2=31.728

Sorry Jerome! I didn't know that the leaderboard was going to work like it is. :guilty:

Anyways, here's my Stage II splits ;)

Historic:

T1) 13.302

T2) 31.221

I did much better on Stage I then I did on Stage II

Thanks for the comments Nat and Maxzillian 👍 👍

Also what VCD settings is everyone using? I have mine at 45.

Name: Jetboy
Car: Acura D-NX/Honda Dualnote
Power: 411hp
Upgrades: Stage 3 weight reduction, Racing flywheel, Carbon Driveshaft, Triple Plate clutch, oil change, Decklid spoiler.

First preliminaries at The Frozen Paper Clip normal:

T1: 18.380
T2: 36.185

Watch your mirrors, jump_ace. This elephant will use your spoiler as a razor to shave with...

Jump: Heheh, I'm gonna have to watch my back if you keep creeping up like that!

Jet: I think I'm running a 35/65 split right now. I may try to bias a little more to the front though to help with pulling the car through the corner rather than sliding out, but otherwise I need a heavy balance to get the car to power oversteer.

hehe time for me to post my first splits. So far, I only have the Audi on the forward:

Open 4wd:

T1: 17.842
T2: 37.460

Now if this thing didn't get so touchy near the end...

I'm running a 50/50 split and the difference between 25/75 and 50/50 is amazing. If the cars that hard to control with just 25/75... I feel sorry for the guys running FR cars in the 2 wheel.

*hugs FTO* I'll never trade you for a FR car in rallys ever again. :dopey:
