You guys are doing ten. Pffft I planned to stop every two laps for some tires and splash of fuel.

is there is loads of people hving problems with owens lobby like last time please try to get someone else to host.
 
I'd just like to ask all the D2 GT500 drivers who didn't qualify and perhaps didn't get much practice to please be mindful of the GT300 cars behind you. I expect some close racing and would hate to see it ruined by an out of control GT500 car. Thanks.

Don't worry, I'll ride the outside when they start breathing down my neck(And looking at their times....they will).
 
Remember the new startprcedure for the race.

GT300's will drive one lap PRIOR the formationlap and park up behind the GT500 pack. This is to ensure that all GT300's cross the finishline within the 3 minute limit. In this case, all cars get an OFFICIAL total time. 👍

I will have the room open at 3:30 and if any is having issues. We can get switched to new host. Or if there is someone to host, we can try their room first.

FWIW. Two people seen me and I seen them. They could not see each other.

The other two disconnects I have no idea.

Used to host drag rooms for hours on end and never had friends get booted. That could relative to location. Again. It may be in my end. I am doubtful. Ping is excellent and speed is good. Wish we could get some idea of what makes this online connection work right.

Yeah, i continually got disconnected 8 times in a row after being in the room for about 2 minutes. I ended up having to disconnect my router and connect my PS3 directly to the cable modem, that fixed things.

The only issue then was that I no longer got updates regarding players that needed to move up to the D1 race. That, and my fiancee yelling at me that she couldn't get online (but that's a whole different issue)
 
its 7:31AM here in sydney and im locked and loaded (last night had a skunk fest with beers, basically under the table).

Set race to 43 laps. GT500's will race for 42 laps, and GT300 for 41.
 
Meh. Got disconnected on lap 8-10 - Senninha did on Lap 1 as well. Was having a good (rather defensive) battle with Kamy before that. Didn't really have the confidence in the car to push so I think I might have been holding Kamy and Neo up, but nevermind. Looks like I'll drop this round :)
 
I got dropped on lap 21. Nycrom, Paginas, Chorda and I were having a great battle in the first 10 laps and then I hit some dirt trying to dig inside of Nycrom and Paginas,who were tangld up on turn 4. They went up high and when I attempted to pass on the inside I clipped the dirt and off I went,right into Paginas's rear end. Sorry Pag. After that it was pretty lonely,got lapped by Tony,got around Kamy then I got disconnected going down the straight.

Oh and fastest lap so far for GT500 is a 1:21.313 By tony and a 1:26.611 by Kamy in GT300 (althoug I'm not sure whether Senni or Mole set faster laps in their short stints)

Such is life and racing. I'm watching a bit of the race now, but I'm gonna head off to get an early start on Friday's dinner. Cheers.

You weren't holding me up, I was quite happy to sit behind the two of you and watch you battle it out. After your car went boom I did the same sitting behind Kamy until the corkscrew ate him.
 
Well my 3 stop strategy didn't work:((hit the wall 3 times).
Nice battle in the begining with mole and neo just behind.
When mole got disconnected i tryed to pull away from neo but i couldn't. I let him pass so i could either follow him when he pitted or pit a lap earlyer than him.
That didn't work out so well.

I've had my 2 bad races. Time to try and be good in the rest of the season.
