It can be an Epic car pornography with the right people!

*Grand image*

I can see it now...the green flag waves, the cars roar to life! They jostle for position before settling into single file! They line up for the first turn....

But yes, With the proper, caring drivers it can be an amazing spectacle. Might I say, something that would become a sort of Medal of Honor to claim you run with such a group.

40 car grids would actually be better, I mean there would be no D2 and who knows, you could start 40th and win the race! :scared: Thats, like Masi said, EPICNESS! We just would have to make sure we had clean, respectful and fast drivers. I would totally love that. 4,5 cars into a photo finish... Ok im dreaming too much, better stop now

It can be possible if PD can include a sort of Ranking System like iRacing. I'm not sure how many cars is the max but i've seen mixed class races with over 40+ cars (iRacing). Pretty awesome.

Since stakes will be higher because of sponsorship, ballast will have no limit. The game allows 200kg and that will be the max.

Everything imo looks ok, just this I don't think is such a great idea:

Car Choice (TBD)
Option 1: After Qualifier, top 8 drivers chooses cars first. 1st fastest picks car last (out of 8).
Option 2: Slowest Qualifier chooses first.
Option 3: ???

Options 1+2: If someone makes a "mistake" in their qualifier, they could end up last and magically end up picking their car first ;) - People might not do that, but I certainly won't be encouraged to put in a quick time if I know it's going to penalise my car selection.

Will have a think about how else we could decide, but really don't think Options 1 or 2 are the way to go.

I like it but I'd still like to change the last Spa race to mixed class.

About car choice, why not the bottom 8 (discounting people who will not race in S3) from each class standings have first dibs on car choice. Everyone else, including newcomers, have to post their top 3 choices like we did at the start of S2.

@ Moleman & Aderrrm - Well, the qualifier will be 6 laps. Top 4 will be taken and that will be your time... but like you said, it is possible for someone not to give maximum effort just so he can be higher on the list.

How about a lottery?

Or keeping the Car Choice process secret? Someone outside the championship will decide - ill ask a MOD (or Jordan himself). Fastest or Slowest?

Again, im just trying to think of ways to further equalize the field.

How exactly did it go about this season? Once you post your Top 3 choices, what happens next?

@ Aderrrm - SPA - do you really want this as a mixed class race? It's an Enduro. What does everyone else think?

@ Mule - Would like to stray away from the really big tracks this season to add more uniformity with the processes we go through - mainly qualy. Also, with heavy damage, someone early on a Lap may quit simply because the pits is too far out and may encourage rage quitting (like what happened in Nurburgring 24 hrs). If many of you guys still want them though, like Dennis said, we can replace either Indy or Daytona with Le Mans or Nur 24 hour race.

Homologation
What do you guys think about nerfing the GT300 cars just a tad bit more? I'm just wondering if its possible to have the C-West Razo or Lexus IS 200 GT-1 be on-par with the rest of the field.

Tentative GT300 Field:
Cusco Dunlop Impreza
Cusco Advan Impress
WedsSport IS350
WedsSport Celica
Arta Garaiya
Amemiya RX7 '06
Apex MR-S

Lexus IS 200 GT-1 Race Car ‘04
Nissan C-West Razo Silvia
RX7 LM Race Car
RX8 LM Concept LM Race Car
Honda S2000 LM Race Car
Spoon S2000 Race Car ‘00
Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car
Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT-1
HKS Evo CT230R (too slow - not enough downforce)
Amemiya FD3S RX-7 (same as HKS Evo)
RM Cars (same as previous 2)

Any other cars can be put into consideration?

The field could do with being toned down in GT300 anyway I think. Our non-tuned cars of the RX7 and Arta Garaiya imo are the slowest in the field - those we've tuned up (Impreza, MR-S, potentially even the IS350) are all quicker. No other reason why I can go 1sec a lap faster this season than I managed last season. I've improved, but not by that much.

I would love to see the C-West Silvia in there - would like to drive it actually but last I heard it was a shocking car to drive and slow to boot. I've never driven it though. It's chronic understeer can surely be dialled out with correct tuning, would have to do some testing - it'd be nice to see it in the championship but I think we might be busting a gut to get it up to standards.

The other cars I really have no desire to see in the GT300 field. "GT1" cars are not really appropriate, considering a GT300 would likely be a "GT2" car if in European regulations, perhaps even GT3. The Diablo is especially out of place - that would make the GT500 field look silly, let alone GT300.

Personally would like to stick true to GT300 but I wouldn't have a major problem if certain cars were running with us - so long as it was within reason. For example some of the new RM cars could probably work - the Impreza or Lancer for example - Skylines for example would not suit. Not so keen on the other "LM Race Car"s either, they just don't really fit the bill - too big in size or too powerful imo.

Still, this is only my thoughts, only my opinion! :D

The C-West Razo is atleast 2 seconds off pace i believe. Same goes to the the Lexus IS200.

Well, what other cars are out there that we can add? Those RM cars lack grip around corners but has superior straightline speeds (low df).

I think we're all getting a bit too technical about this. How much of an advantage can these LM cars have downtuned - even if they're producing lap times on par with the rest of the field? ..through tuning?

I tested the RX7 and S2000 (LM) race cars and was able to clock them down within a few tenths off of the IS350.

If we can't agree on most of the cars on the list above, where else can we look at? JGTC? Touring Cars? DTMs? Hmmm...

[wishlist] Can someone please pay Kaz to replicate a few more GT300s :D

Murcielago, F430, Corolla, Shiden, Legacy, etc.

Even just a few other liveries for the 4 premiums we already have would be great. [/end wishlist]

I think that we should just leave the gt300 cars and not bring in any RM cars because i think its too much hassle for what its worth

For most people, we know who's faster and slower, everyone picking their top 3, followed by someone going through and giving priority to slower drivers seems like a fairly easy option 3.
Example: If two drivers choose same three cars, in same order, (assuming one of each left) slower driver gets first choice, faster driver gets second choice, etc.

I better not hear anymore of this blasphemy about removing Indy road course!

What do you think about the cars being considered for GT300?

Lexus IS 200 GT-1 Race Car ‘04
Nissan C-West Razo Silvia
RX7 LM Race Car
RX8 LM Concept LM Race Car
Honda S2000 LM Race Car
Spoon S2000 Race Car ‘00
Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car
Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT-1
HKS Evo CT230R (too slow - not enough downforce)
Amemiya FD3S RX-7 (same as HKS Evo)
RM Cars (same as previous 2)

My first guesses for good ones are the:
Honda S2000 LM Race Car
RX7 LM Race Car

Lexus IS-F RM
actually should work, starts with a terrible powerband, so limiting down to specs should make a decent racing powerband, not as excessive as others, I think weight might be a bit high, something to test though.

RX-7 TC could work too, depending on ballast limit for the season, some ballast could/should be added to it I assume, I think stock's 985kg, which should only need 50-100kg range to be on par.

Subies and EVO RM's/TC's don't have enough downforce, if anyone's wondering.

Imo, the GT300 cars are a tad quick. Some got a lot more power than 300 Bhp.

So how about slowing the 8 cars we had this season down.
Add ballast, and reduce DF.
If you add 100Kg, there's still room for 100 kg ballast, so the ballast system will still work. Just set a imit at 100 kg.
Reduce DF: The cars that could fit the GT300 field imo (Lexus IS200 GT1, Nissan C-WEST RAZO SILVIA) have less DF.
So by adding ballast, reduce weight and work a bit with the PL for the current field, I think we could get the IS200 and RAZO SILVIA in the group. 👍

Make sence?

Depends, the slower they are, the harder it is for mixed races.

I did forget the NSX RM.
