I've been waiting for days. To join this Racing Series. I have a GT300 car. Whoever holds practice sessions, whatever get ahold of me. My PSN is, STALLIONO_-

I think heavy damage is no problem. Light damage just promoted aggressive driving because you know if you mess up or take someone off, it doesn't really matter, since the damage will be gone in 2-3 corners time. If damage is heavy you have to make a clean pass or pay the price for not doing so.

However, I think maybe it should be heavy damage on certain tracks, light on others. Heavy damage on a long lap like the Nurburgring would be a nightmare for example. Regular tracks, heavy should be fine imo.

@ Stalliono - I 'might' host one later today (10PM GMT).

@ Andil - Agree.

P.S. Nurburgring GP next week for the final preseason race :)

While it's tempting to say full damage to penalise mistakes, there is too greater tendency to ruin someone else's race also. With full damage, you mistake could ruin the race for other people, so I would personally avoid using heavy damage, light damage is enough to discourage any wall bouncing.

I think we should test and take the risk this week since its only the preseason.

A strict penalty system should take care of aggressive drivers (Suspension, Probations, or Points Infraction). Still, we can't get away from the fact that being involved in an incident is part of racing, whether it be your fault or not. It sparks rivalries, although not in the best light. Hopefully, everyone will be patient come raceday. It's a long race.

Fair enough. I think light damage, but I agree with testing heavy damage this week to see how it pans out.

Replay reviewing:

Sallyk23 - definitely clean, nice lap.
wilhelm198824 - unsure, see below.

That striped section that separates the pit lane from the track proper directly after the start/finish line, what are we calling that? Wilhelm has four wheels solidly on it. If it's rumble strip then it's clean. If it's not then it's dirty.

Normally I'd have called it rumble because it looks basically the same. But if the stripey part is track then you can cut WAY over almost into the pit lane. Dunno.

Either way, I'm sure the intention was not to cheat. I'm just calling attention to what may be a problem.

Replay still to come this evening... working now...

Hi!

I havent yet signed in this event because of the Heavy Damage level.

I looked at the Race results from Monaco, and specially 2 Division.
The winner was 1 min ahead of the second, the third 2 mins behind, and so on... I didnt see the Race, but I am sure the wide gaps
has to do with Heavy Damage level.

I have an idea, what if 2 division would use Light Damage and Grip Reduction set to low here in Laguna Seca, just for to test and compare 1 and 2 division.

I would happily try to manage getting to 2 Division.

We didn't race with heavy damage, it was light.

The 2-3 guys in pole position was, just really fast. ! :)

Dont worry about it mate... Just join the fun :)

Hi think heavy damage is the best option because its a competiton. its meant to be a challenge, yes i know someone might ruin your race but you dont see any other pro driver saying we need to change the damage (i know you cant in real life lol)

As its preseason yes it needs to be tested which is what is happening. lets just see.

i had a race yesturday with a few guys from here and it was great some very cool and close racing, just be patience and either the guy in front will make a mistake (what i did lol) or you will find a gap to get thru.

I think that was more a problem with Monaco than with the damage settings...

I will have a qualifying lap in at about 7.30pm GMT.👍
Am thinking a 1.18 or low 1.19 will qualify for the GT500?

^^hope the rar thing worked:dunce:

EDIT: someone tell me if that file works please?

I am really struggling to setup my GT500 with the hard tires. I don't know what to do. It keeps oversteering out of corners.
It is difficult to apply the right amount of throttle out of the corner with a DS3 controller.

hey masi, i think i cant make it this friday, i kept the idea that the race would be at noon but now its at 2 pst, n i start to work at that time, sry if i advise u so late.

C-Falcon89: There are two replays in the file you submitted. One is 1:19.466 which is CLEAN.

I assume the other one is your 1:18.219 but I couldn't open it.
