Hmmm... Finally getting my head around how to drive this track thanks to the lap time submissions... 👍 Retuned the Calsonic yesterday and got my time down to a 1'21.012 :D BBbBUuUuUuuTTTT now I have to go back and tune again for Racing Hard tires... Looking forward to tonight... Good luck to all! 👍

How are you guys setting up the suspension for the GT-R's on the Hard Tires? I feel great on soft tires,
which parts do i need to increase/decrease in suspension? should the abilities on drivetrain be set to low or high?

I hope some of you want to share some of your great knowledge :dopey:

I'm still a noob when it comes to setting up racecar settings, humbling hoping some would share some numbers for a better and closer race for all ;-)
 
too bad pd didnt put many gt300 cars in the game. it would be awsome if they were atleast all of the gt300 in gt5. I just realised i am the only with rx7 left for tonight :D

Can anybody tell me how i can watch other peoples replays?

I have copied them off my usb onto the PS3 but i don't see them in the game whan i go to watch them.

i'll keep checking back today in case you guys race D2 earlier.....I can make it if you guys end up racing simultaneously. It's just the later start time that i cant make.

And I'll race GT500 or GT300. Where ever needs to be filled.

Turns out I have a birthday tonight which I will go to and think I will be back just in time. Just a heads up in the event I don't make it back intime.
Would be ashame as am looking forward to it.
 
I would like to participate in the GT300 class, but I got a bit confused with the first post. The race is tonight? and what time (CET)?

Sincx ! how do you make such a time on the hard compound? I can't figure out how to setup my suspension and drivetrain to achieve times faster that 1.25,XXX ?
 
Is anyone else staggeringly frustrated with this combination? For some reason, whatever I do the back end kicks out on the banked corners (5,6,9,10). My limited knowledge of driving dynamics suggests that those are the corners that the car should be taking easily.

I managed a 1:28.9xx on an edgy setup that wouldn't last 3 laps in a real race, the soft and somewhat stable setup is more like 1:30.xxx.

Short tip - decrease initial torque completely, 10 acceleration and 15 for deccel on the drivetrain setting. Soft front springs and a bit stronger in the rear. Strong Anti sway front and very low rear and dont put full downforce on the car, makes turning feel really heavy on Hard tyres.
 
Another tip.... Use as little camber as possible, either standard settings or lower... This track no likey camber... ;)

Masi, I don't have a flash drive. I was, actually going to get one, but i forgot to. I can have someone, watch me and i'll qualify again. My lap time, is 110% leget, no BS.

Masi posted a couple of videos a page or so back, so thought I'd do the same. Love this video, really fantastic battle of two GT500 Supras through a load of GT300 traffic, one of my favourite racing videos. Can't wait for tonight :)

Thanks Aizen and Blitz, I'll give those things a try. It sounds like I've been doing exactly the opposite of what I should have been...:dunce: I've got high camber, high downforce, completely wrong LSD. D'oh.

I really don't understand tuning, but it's fun to try! :D

Edit: Great video Andil, that commentator was classic.

I know that the time put in to this is far more than the time it takes to read it! About 2-3 hours (including watching the replay and taking pics)?

When you put down this kind of effort it really makes me smile!

I know it's not possible to do this kind of race report after every race. It would demand to many hours. But I have an idea for Masi_23 to concider.

If every driver get one event each to review, like this one with pictures and a little text to it. We could read about every race like this and every driver only need to do it once.

I know that there are more drivers than races, but let's say that the winner of GT500 does the review one week, and the next week the winner of GT300. If the winner already have done a rewiev from a previous race, the one who finished in 2nd will do it, and so on.. Hows that idea?

If someone really want to do all the reviews it's fine for me

Yeah, it took like 4 hours to get all the pictures and write it - I watched the replay twice, hehe. I think that's a great idea, it's always nice to get a nice race report.

Shame we are in different divisions Nycrom - it was a great battle for 10 laps. I knew you were slightly faster and just couldnt keep you behind in the end, haha!
