Went to a few Top Gear rooms most were good just people driving around normally, the last TG room I was in the host was afk for all the time I was there half the roomwas driving normally while the other half weren't using their brakes ect.

Just tried to join a lobby... was blocked from entering the room, and didn't even got a chance to race. In the end, online mode ended up being what I expected it to: a crappy replacement for a good offline experience.
What a Debbie Downer comment! 👎
You're basing all multiplayer gt5 based on your not being able to enter one pub lobby? :boggled:

The only reason I can think of that you would be "blocked" from entering a pub lobby, would be if the host already had you on his/her block list. :odd: Or you'd already been in the room and had been kicked. :odd:
Something sounds fishy about your story. More specific info is needed for your post to be taken anything like at face value.

So in 3 separate occasions, i have been kicked, with no warning, from separate 550pp road car rooms for driving a tuned and not hacked Zonda C12.

I don't know if the Zonda is considered a race car competitor or a rabbit like few other MR cars, but at least warn me about it (I'd gladly change car; no arguments).

I don't think it is... the engine is pretty terrible at upper RPMs and the huge amount of torque combined with the lack of downforce makes the car unstable at higher speeds.

I entered the room. I wasn't able to race, because the race was in progress. Let's say there was space for three more people to race, so I waited until the race was over, to take part in the next one. When the race was over, I tried to get into the "Free Run" mode (or how it is called in english), and suddenly I was out, and the game told me I had been kicked from the room. So I tried to get in once again, and it said something along the lines of "you have been blocked from entering this room".

So, in few words, I didn't do anything, and was blocked from racing. I could understand that, if I had entered in Free Run, and started smashing other players, I would be kicked. But I wasn't even given the chance to enter the course.

After viewing my post, I reckon I didn't explain some things, but I suppose it doesn't really change anything regarding the reason why I'm upset.

Also, I didn't mean to bash all players who play the game. But the truth is, there is nothing stopping the rest of the players from acting like this, and it's annoying not being able to enjoy the multiplayer experience at its full extent due to some users. And what I think PD expected was everyone to be a nice person, and that works up to a point, because not everyone wants to play certain kind of race (using slow cars, let's say). A "race maker" (where you are able to choose what do you race against in a track of your choice) would be a wonderful piece of addition to the game, and, unless in specific ocassions (plays with people I sort of know), I wouldn't touch online ever again.

I think the problem with GT5's online is the same as most games, the userbase which has its black sheeps. And the second biggest problem is that not everyone is alike, and not everyone likes to play the game the same way. Plus connection issues and more, which are obviously to blame because of my geographical location, but could have been avoided with a good development of offline play. :)

Did they tell you it was because of the Zonda? Did the message come up "you have been kicked" as you exited the room? If not, it's possible you just disconnected and it has nothing to do with the car.

The Zonda is a world beater at 550pp, if you know how to tune it....but no better than an M3GTR, LFA, NSX etc.

@ Lucas... strange that you've posted over 4,000 posts on this forum and still never found out about organized private league racing. :boggled:

I've been in this forum for a few years, mainly posting in the GT4 section and the Rumble Strip.

Only recently (last two weeks or so) I've started playing GT5. Months ago, my brother bought the game, and I just couldn't find it as interesting as I found GT4 at the time. But in the past days, I've been playing the game, and my only main gripe is the limited amount of races when compared to GT4, where you could select between -10 and +10 "difficulties" (lineups).

The reason I miss this so much is because I used to write a race report/story in GT4, and I would very much like to do the same in GT5, except that little tool was everything to me, and now it's missing. :(

A couple of kids were egging me on to drag them on TGTT for pinks. My tuned SRT-10 vs. their R35 GT-R. Enzo, and ZL1.

I won all 3 and they were saying "U r usin a hybrd!" And "you pice of s*t chter!"

Two things came to mind:
No, my car was just tuned to perfection.
And they should really take a spelling class.

Then they kicked me.

That's hilarious. I got a tune for my ACR last year from this random guy (who is apparently very good) I met in an Indy lobby. I stick to RWD class because I can't catch GT-R Black Editions. But still get beaten into the ground by Enzos.

Now you said it was an SRT-10. That was just a regular Viper, right? Not the ACR?
And those were regular GT-Rs, not special editions like the Spec V or Black Edition, right?

I liked family cups in gt4 too. And I missed it in GT5... until I found multiplayer and found that real other people racing is a lot more interesting than any AI.

Correct. It was the '99 (or '98)
And they were 2009 GT-R's.

I was recently in a very small room where I was just racing this one guy over and over. He was bragging how his CRX was undefeatable at 295bhp. I was using my BRZ and was getting beat pretty easily. I was being very polite, while he was mocking me to his friend in Spanish. I then changed to the NSX Type-R 02, I was well out in the lead in this race and before I know it, he has kicked me from the room and blocked me. Talk about being a bad loser lol!

Honda elitists... 👎

Although the only Honda I could fall in love with is the NSX. Such a beautiful car.

And it handles damn near better than any other car in GT5. Stock or slightly tuned, it just doesn't want to give up its grip on the corners.

That's why it's my main 500pp car!!! She's nearly stock (not even aero).

I go to a lot of JDM car shows and meets in rea life and the amount of Honda Civic owners who go on and on about the greatness of their cars chassis and engine is enough to drive a saine man mad :yuck:

I've slowly but surely started to see more and more of the whole Honda stereotype in real life and more so in the game :grumpy:, if you go onto the forums for Mighty Car Mods, the amount of kids who think FWD is actually the best layout for a car and handles superior to all other formats!

The NSX is actually a really nice car and in reality, pretty blood cheap for what it is. With a little bit of fettling you can get the stock 280bhp motor to produce 350bhp and have the confidence the engine won't be over stressed. On the flip side my Impreza has had its engine replaced three times and for the shy side of £10,000 getting uprated internals and block, only produces 330bhp from 280 lol!

Whenever I see two Honda civics lined up to race, I think about the one-wheel-burnout video and the Honda Fail video where a guy is lined up but forgets he's still in reverse gear after the burnout.

Yup it said "You have been rejected" or something like that, not the "disconnected from server" that i always get for cross continent pubbing.

I have experienced racing with the above and well it's a mixed bag of wins and loses. I dislike using well known rabbits online, but i do drive them when i feel like it.

Yeah.. My NSX has started many an online brawl bulldozing cars with several hundred more horses and subsequently pissing off their owners. Had a rather epic one a few months ago in which one guy got mad because I kept spanking his tuned Mercs, then he calls the NSX a car for noobs but proceeds to pull out an NSX LM road car, a couple of the other guys in the room got down his throat for that one and it set off a hilarious argument between them (i didnt get involved even though it was my car which started it) that lasted for over an hour. Funny as 🤬

Strangely, I couldn't outrun my friend's 700 HP Chrysler 300 in my NSX Type R '02 while in a cops lobby. His car is heavier and less aerodynamic than my car! Shame I only had 400 HP.

Ive been getting called a cheater or a hacker on quite a regular basis

You *&^%(** Hybriders man, really just ruining the community

I just got kicked from a 650pp room for 'cheating' its ridiculous

I beat a hosts R35 GTR in my XJ13, both at 600PP, and he calls me out as cheating. Even though he was leading the whole race, untill he went wide into the last corner at Nur GP/F, and I beat him in a drag race to the finish

I don't go into open lobbies very often anymore, but all this hybriding has my interest piqued. Hard to find but I stumbled across a 500PP SH tires only room last night and wandered in to find it was a no tuning room. Undaunted, I found a BMW M5 that was untuned and trounced the field by 30 seconds at Grand Valley. Same story in Monaco and Madrid with an RGT and a Z respectively. We end up at High Speed Ring so I pull out...yup, the Zonda C12. As we're sitting on the grid I hear a woman say, "That Penso guy is in a racecar" and then I hear a bunch of whining from the rest of the players so, gentleman that I am, I just pulled over and let the field go by, rejoined at the back and then got caught up in a big wreck and left. :sly:

2 years in and people dont know what a Zonda C12 is? ...lol.

I properly someone by on Nurburgring as he was in the middle of setting a lap in his NOMAD Diablo. I was in my Viper GTS ACR replica, and was ready to set my lap. So what does he do? After setting an impressive time of 6:14 with his NOMAD Diablo, he insists on coming after me with a single-minded fury. Constantly bashing me into the wall, rear-ending me and pit maneuvering me. I managed to get him to spin once, but after that, I just gave up. I left, frustrated.

Edit: Got rid of the name.

My NSX is really good.. I spent alot of time tuning it. I don't know, I'm only speaking from my experiences.

I hate to be unethical here, but he has to be known...

You can't post a username on GTP if its a bad situation. If you're speaking about a use in a good way, you can use their name. If not, don't post it.

Whilst I understand how bad that is for you, we don't allow naming and shaming.

Dammit dan, tree'd! :P
