The thing is, I have only one car worth something; the Miura.

All the others can just be reinstalled or bought from the UCD. So I wouldn't mind anyway.

*Enters Nurburgring lobby*
*Host sets a 5:43 with an X2010 5G*
*Gets in X2010 5G to challenge time*
*Gets rejected*
Unbelievable. I'm at wits end with GT5 online.

Just got kicked from a "Cops lobby" after insulting the host for driving a 27,000HP Veyron.

*Enters stylish cars only room*

The car list
X2010
Ford GT
Enzo
Mp4-12c
SLS
Rs6
Cl600
458
Skyline GTR (IN GOLD CHROME)

Really...?

I wanted to try pointing out that like 3 of these actually are stylish.

Silly me :)

In fairness, the 458 was decent. But I was expecting 300SLs, E-types, Miuras, Interceptors, Spitfires etc. rather than a red with gold wheels 458...

Fresh off the press.

People who join cop lobbies to race are the scourge of satan. I had one guy asking everyone if they wanted to drag at Monaco, so I pleasantly typed "Just to make it clear, anyone caught dragging will be on 3/3 straight away- for you *psn name* that means you're getting kicked (He'd been in the Fiat 500 and had his points reset. So he was on 5/6 anyway, it was fair)"

Some people...

I think the problem with people in cops lobbies is the attitude. People think a cops room is where you go to race and get into police chases (TL;DR? Basically going NFS...), when it's not that. A cops room is where you go to have a nice, civilized cruise. The cops are there to help the community and make sure rules are being followed.

In summary? Attitudes need to change if cops rooms are going to be less like the cops rooms you can find in a random lobby searches today.

I think they need a better name then. I always assumed it was a half drive half chase kind of thing.

My first back online in a while doing some real races, I go in a lobby on the nurburgring titled "STREET CARS". Once the race starts, I immediately see a Pagani Zonda R overtake everyone (I'm pretty sure that isn't a street car).

Problem #2: people are driving all over the road and because they're doing that, I can't keep a clean line going and have to nudge people out of the way. One guy was being too hesistant in some of the turns in his ferrari 458, then one jerk decides to go ahead in his lexus LFA and stops on purpose in the middle of the road, blocking it. I managed to get passed without any trouble while everyone behind me wrecks. Then, it seems that I'm home free as there's no traffic around me and only a few cars left ahead to pass, but before I know it; I get disconnected.

Problem #3: My game froze when trying to enter another lobby.

The R isn't a track car. It shares less than 20% of parts with a 'standard' Zonda; and is too loud to use on a track day.

Odd thing, but awesome :)

Anyway, joined a karting server on my brothers account (he has no enemies on that) and got a 125 out, as everyone else was using. Except they shortened the gearing. So yeah. I was fastest most of the time at Spa (it was a good race, penalties; false start check etc.) then someone in a pink kart (let's call him/her Princess Peach) came alongside my black kart (Black and gold. JPS!) and turned in on me (saw the Princess as I used the view around to see the avatar turning the 'wheel"

I braked hard and she went off. She left and accused me of
Hacking
Cutting corners
Clutching
Ramming
Abusing her
Being racist
Being fascist
Being a (let's not...)

And then asked for me to be kicked. I said "Tell you what, we do another race; no collisions, weak slipstream, no boost, penalties, and all; and see who's better. Loser gets booted." Suddenly, her kart rocketed to 200 mph and span out at Eau Rouge. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat.

I won by a mile, so she was kicked. Now I'm getting abuse from her.

So... Blocked her.

^^ All that from the simple fact that she/he tried turning in on you and failed? :dunce:The uber kart also adds a touch of "Not practicing what you preach " flavour to the proverbial sandwich which is another online lobby.:)

Yeah. Worst part is, my brothers account now has an enemy, he won't be pleased :-/

Comming from the drag sceene, I get horible online experiences, big egos, rammers, million hp hackers and everything you can think of on a daily basis. But this what I am going to post now is by far the worst ever.

So I just bought myself a new Aventador for cruises and cop lobbies. I go searching for a good cop lobby and find one that says something like: "70 mph/UK laws/Left side/COP" on La Sarthe 2009 without chicanes. I join and drive my car around for 15 minutes, cruising with another dutch LFA, having a good drive. Well at least when we were off the main straight because the room was full of hackers... Not hybriders, hackers. They were having a contest about whose car has the most horse power.:banghead: So one of the guys(lets call him Jim) asks another guy(lets call him bud) for a trade. I see them talking and watch the conversation and tell bud that he is going to get scammed. They both leave the room to do the trade.

Then, after 3 or so minutes, bud comes back in and says: "yo wezz(his apparent buddy) check out ma ride bro". Wezz responds with "haha nice".

Then what bud replyed:
IMAG1226_zpsa90cf22a.jpg

(bud is the guy with the "budsmoker30g" or something PSN)

I thank him for the sentence because I am putting a picture on GTP for everyone to see how he admitted to scamming. Then the abuse begins, I am being called names, hearing mom jokes (how mature), he even calls me a kid ( he tells me he is 14, I am 18; ). At the end he tells me that it is okay for me to report him because it won't do anything and he will continue scamming "kids".

Here is another smart and mature statement from the dude:
IMAG1227_zps290bf79d.jpg

Now the sad part. Judging by his last words, he can't even hack and I've seen him in 10+ hacked cars while in that lobby. How many people must he have scammed?

Eventually a friend of mine joined and backed me up among with the rest of the lobby so he left and said : "Cya losers".

Note: He said it was ok for me to post his name so... If any mods still have problems with my pictures please remove them or contact me and I will edit them out or remove them. Thanks.

Well in my honest opinion, this particular secnario is a grey area. Yes it's true we can't name and shame people because that can be abused and get out of hand real fast. On the other hand, this guy has not only admitted to scamming but there's photografic proof as well. But like I said, in my opinion it's a grey area, in someone else's, it might be more clear cut.

Its manly due to the name and shame system can easily be abused. Simply put, a good driver or trader can have their reputation's easily damaged by people who set out to ruin other people's reputation's for any number of reasons or for the hell of it. So that's why it's not acceptable to name and shame anyone. Hope this helps.:)

Yup, that helps, thanks.

Moving on, I can't find a good lobby at all. I see just a bunch of hacked car lobbies, drag racing lobbies, and other lobbies I don't care for. I joined one cop lobby to cruise in some of my cars, but it was just full of knuckleheads that were drag racing.

EDIT: Boy don't I have a story to tell you all. XD

I joined a lobby titled "Chill with Platinums" and it's kind rediculous. Well, it is like what the title says, the majority of the players have "Platinum" in their PSN names, but they're not the problem, they seem to be alright people tbh and they hate hacked cars like I do (you know, the stupid overpowered ones).

Anyway, moving on with the story. There is a guy, I'm guessing it's a kid since he's typing constantly in ALL CAPS (lets call him little Timmy). He saw one guy's hacked lamborghini (I'll call him Bob) with a modded paint scheme. Here's the funny part:

L. Timmy: I WANT YOUR LAMBORGHINI!!!
Bob: no
L. Timmy: GIMME YOUR LAMBORGHINI!
Bob: NO!
L. Timmy: IF YOU DON'T GIMME YOUR LAMBORGHINI, ILL SHOVE MY (won't mention this) UP YOUR LAMBORGHINI'S EXHAUST PIPE!!!
The Platniums were laughing at the entire thing.

Then Bob responded with a death threat in order to have him back off.

He did...for a minute.

He kept asking him over and over for it and Bob kept saying no.

I decided to jump in and ask why he couldn't get his own. He apparently wanted the color, which was a modded paint job. Bob was really frustrated at this point and was also telling him to back off and get his own. I then went in the conversation again as I was a bit annoyed with him too. Another guy was telling him to shut it as I was writing this.

Me: Why don't you just google search how to hack paint chips on GT5 and shut up?

L. Timmy: U SHT UP
L. Timmy: YOUR ***** IS SMALL
Me: No, I won't now and full caps won't get you anywhere.
L. Timmy: SHUT UP GRANTURISMO U ****SUCKER
Me: *thinking to myself* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yup, there was no chance of me taking him seriously at this point. I wanted to ram him so bad though, but I held back. I then backed off a bit as other people butted in a tried to tell him how to get the modded paint chips.

Would you believe that it wasn't over? Because it isn't.

Little Timmy then started being random and saying random things such as "I LOVE YOU GUYS", "SAY IT BACK TO ME OR I'LL CRY!", I was still laughing to myself as it just caught me off guard.
Before he left the lobby, he said "STAY GAY EVERYONE" and "LATER".

Okay, now it's over everyone. Tell me what you think of this installment of RandomCarGuy's random Gran Turismo 5 moments.

No sign of human intelligence there!

Also, joined a TopGear drag/drift/trade lobby.

Dragging was awful (pushed off course for the guy to say "That's racing" so we restarted, I span him out and he hit into the tyre wall, finished and typed "That's racing")

Drifting was terrible (Guys in over-powered GTRs 'drifting' and hitting into me when I was drifting my Stratos)

Trading was bad too (One guy got scammed, even with me and 3 others warning him not to believe the guy who was 'trading' his Veyron for an FTO STC, the scammer and the scammed came back and started arguing. Scammer said "Hey. You were warned. Don't be so ignorant" and the Scammed started ramming into him, me and the others who warned him. It was pathetic)

TopGear, the dark area of GT5

I just joined a drag lobby on Indy for the first time in a while and there's a bit of chaos.
There's all sorts of idiots here; one guy in a GT-R Black Mask sliding all over the drag race area, a x2011 messing around, and a Veyron ramming some of the players.

Try joining a room with like 10 or less people in there if you go to like a team try out room its very legit

90% of all drag lobby's are like that.

Sounds pretty normal to me.

Well, atleast that's how I experienced almost every lobby I joined.
