Sounds good in theory but there is a difference. The X1 is nowhere close to any other car in the game in terms of power and lateral g's. It's that huge discrepancy between it and other cars that causes all the carnage. The Veyron, Tank Car, Minolta etc. are at least in the same ballpark in terms of power and cornering to many other cars in the game and it's much more difficult to be a d-bag when you're about the same speed as many other cars. One wreck and often you're done and can't catch up. Not so with the X1.

What really bugs me online (but not as much as the trollers) is the corner cutting penalty system. I was racing at the Nurburgring GP/F and I went wide coming out of a corner, and I got a 10 second corner cutting penalty. As far as I know, I didn't cut any corners at all and I only went wide, not picking up any time and still received a penalty. I hope that they can fix it a bit for GT6.

What is it with drivers at the Nurb?
I join a Free Run lobby at the Nurb
Host is AFK, on a 15 hour room.
It's pitch black at the time I join the server, therefore I decide to have some "fun" (it was like a nightmare; the scariest drift lap I've ever done) and drift a whole lap.
Anyways, I meet some cool guys, I mistook one Brit racer as being Mcluvin of GTPlanet, and I went on my way.
So far, my drift lap is going well. I've had a racer come up behind me, but all you need to do is yield to the right, flash your brakes twice. At this point, the driver honks back twice, acknowledging your maneuver, and overtakes. That's the end of that.
Now, you have the ignorant drivers. These guys will come up behind you, flash their long lights at you, and tailgate you. I yield to the right, flash my brakes twice, they wipeout, blaming you as if you brake-checked them. Obviously this guy who did it was hell-bent on getting me kicked because I had a hybrid, and he had a legit Supra with a flash of RICE that he claimed he could drift.
Honestly, when you see someone yield and give you the racing line, what do you do? You overtake, right?
So this player who was second in the list, tells everyone to call a reject vote in the host. I state my skepticism, saying it won't work, but to my surprise it did.
He changes the time settings so we can see, and initiates a race (unofficial). I'm in an F20C, RWD Del Sol. I'm not going anywhere, but I lead the pack. Seeing as the pack is made up of cars faster then mine, I yield to the right, expecting everyone to overtake. For the first 4 corners, I kept driving on the far right side of the track leaving plenty of space for everyone else to overtake. The new host doesn't overtake, but honks, and intimidates me. I stand my ground, until he hits me. At this point, I go flying down a turn and get completely crushed.
I didn't do anything. Just switched to my Twin Turbo R8 and had some fun drag racing.
Honestly, it's the little things that get me.

Me and my friend were racing online. I'll be honest; He isn't any good. We were racing by oursleves and I dominated every single time, then we raced at Daytona with the Zonda R. He decided to cheat and tailgate me because he needed to win to level up so I decided to leave the room so he couldn't level up.
...and he never raced with me again.

Additionally, the La Sarthe penalties apparently ban the FIA- and Audi-approved use of the outside pavement in or just after the Porsche Curves.

Cote 'd Azur + 16 players + dirty shuffle race + supercars= CAR CARNAGE. 
I was with 5 friends, having fun crashing at dirty shuffle lounge. I started last. 
The first part was annoying. I was scared whole race since it was only 1 lap. 
But I won the race anyway.
It was fun though. But there was many people arguing why they hit each other.I told them: ,,Look at the title of the lobby.,,
I like crashing, but trust me, even if I will be 14 on Monday, I don't like to drive X1 and crashing everyone with it. I like to drive some sport cars and cars under 100bhp. 👍 I always have my 2 orange RS6 Avants with me for defense against the mad kids with the X1s.

One time, me and my friend were having a nice drive with our X1 (he had a Vettel but he was clean) then he said "I want a proper X2010 so I can make it chrome". I told him you can't nicely but everyone else were acting like complete 🤬 and were picking on him just because he didn't know (people make mistakes).

Ohh the penalties are evil. Especially Fuji and Nurb GP/F. I also hope they will be fixed in GT6. can you read my mind or what?
Mabye I can... But yeah, Nurb GP/F, Fuji, and LeSarthe all have evil penalties. I ended up finishing 30 sec behind the leader in last because I went wide in two corners and got a 10 sec penalty. It's just screwed up.

Sure I still talk too him, I know him in real life and we are still friends (we just laughed it up at the end of the day like all good mates do).
But he never races anymore because he just wanted to play FPS games.

I have been playing GT4 for a few days now (because GT5 online is crap and AI sucks). And... I don't miss online mode at all. You guys should try taking a break from online mode. Or GT5 altogether.
Ignore the above... Don't take a break if you haven't tried this online. Paint it pink too RESHIRAM5 you should try that.

I got some people apparently very mad that my bright pink Prius TC was winning nonstop in 450PP races, without the host having explicitly banning TC's. I eventually just decided to tell people that they had to say "I'm a pretty pink princess" if they lost to me. Then comes the wrecking.
As for bad? Someone in a race divebombing me and leaning against my car until he pushes me into the sand. I call him out and he tells me it's my fault. Funny thing, half the room, who know I'm a clean racer and don't bump unless I've lost control, were behind me and this other dude.
He wasn't booted, but he said that it's because he couldn't control his car. Everyone told him to not blame the car.

I'm one of those players that goes online extremely rarely. I think all this online bull:censored: has taken over modern games. 👎
