Worst you've dealt with online...

Penalties.

They just punish you for going a bit wide or turning in a little too sharp.

Also, I hate rooms without TCS.

They are a 🤬 waste of time.

Me: Oh, interesting room
GT5: WAIT! You have to load!
Me: Oh. :(
GT5: I'm done!
Me: YAY! Let's adjust my settings!
GT5: You can't dummy, are you a noob? :)
Me: WHY ISN'T TCS ALLOWED
Host: Are you a noob?
Me: No, I want to enjoy the game in my way, which is not this
Host: Lol, you suck

Also, it seems that i get visited a lot by other ''Dutchies'', and most aren't really... ''experienced'' players.

The only times I actually see TCS are in free run rooms. Make your own server I guess. You'd just need to be willing to patient for a good group of players to arrive. :/

When I host a room for some fun races online I only restrict Steering help and SRF as that are the only assists that make you go faster. Don't see a point in restricting TC when racing for fun.

But for serious races I restrict all assists and tyres as that attracts cleaner drivers most of the time.
 
In a 1/4 drag room the other day. Was in my Viper SRT10 getting some good runs. Ran this guy in a R35 TC, and not surprisingly he beat me. I didn't think much of it until he said "You should change your name to iLoozYouWin" (look at my PSN). I told him he SHOULD win in that car. He said BS after which I pulled out my R35 TC and destroyed him. He then left...
 
Two things:

1.) Unrestricted rooms that where people get angry if you use an RM or tuner car on SS with say ~350 hp, while it's obvious their 458s and Lambos are fully modded and tuned on RS.

2.) People who act "pro" and complain that you're somehow holding them back by using ABS or TCS.

These two are usually in the same room, I find.
 
I don't play GT5 as often anymore due to recent encounters of raging <failed to adhere to the AUP>.:ill:

Last night in a full damage room, "raise the pp" guy showed up, and as soon as he entered that was his first communication. We were doing 360pp with CS. Of course I thought "He'll wreck first and come in last". Which he did. The next race was 600pp, RS. He didn't complete a lap before quitting. Why is it those guys can't drive?

That is something i don't understand. Why do they ragequit because they are in last?

I normally back out of a race if I crash and come in last, mainly because I really cannot be 🤬 with wasting three laps unable to catch up, since I never seem to use fast enough cars...
 
The worst I've seen online is simply trying to play online. When online, navigating the menus becomes a nightmare, as if they aren't bad enough offline. It seems I'm looking at the black "GT" screen more than I'm racing. When I finally do get to race, I find that the login bonus only works when it wants to. I don't know if anyone else has had these problems, but they have nearly taken all the joy of racing online from me.

Erm Bobert ...I've had to kick you from my rooms for blatantly cheating and seen you get kicked for doing so in other rooms, so the fact you've posted in here is pretty hilarious.
 
I run in endurance(ish) races online with my friends all the time, usually about an hour long and tonight one of the regulars, but not necessarily everyone's favorite racer joined too late for the start of the race, now keep in mind he wasn't even online when we started, he proceeded to enjoy his new 1080p tv in the best way he knew how, watching us with the volume as loud as he could with his mic sitting under the tv. Everyone in the room asked him to stop multiple times, and he acknowledged it, but ignored it and i was forced to quit at the end of lap 4 of a 10 lap nurburgring race to kick him -_- people are incredibly mature

That i dealt with before. Me and a couple of collegues were having an incredible time. But a loud mic came in and my friend, who was the host had to kick him. I hated that because we were neck and neck on Spa.

It doesn't even bother me so much that his mic was loud but the fact he said what....oh I don't care, just such disregard for everyone in the room

Well every loud mic is a person who thinks "I could care less." Anyhow i was racing in a Ferrari F1 room. I was winning about every race as everyone else had F10's. Then a guy im about to lap pits me into the wall and calls me a rammer. Then the host screams god knows what and kicks me. It seems every Ferrari F1 room i am in always has some one jealous of me winning like Schumacher once in a while can't stand it. :(
 
A few days ago These 2 people said they could whoop me in a race on Sarthe with LMPs only. Funny thing was they had TC on 5, SRF, and Active Steering on while I only had TC on 1 and won by like 15 seconds. They then accuse me of cheating when penalties were on strong... I'm starting to hate the online community.
 
Yet again, i get kicked for no reason. This kid was asking why he doesn't have Spa. I said you need dlc and he says i need to bail and KIX me. People on Gt5 sicken me.
