I ventured into a GT500 public room last night and was quickly reminded of why I don't join public lobbies. I was at the top of the qualifying board but when the race started I got placed mid pack. It was obvious there was a grid mistake because I pulled up to the front row before turn 1 of GP/F. That didn't last long though because I got side swiped while braking and kicked to the run off area. I play it clean through the next two lefts and come along side someone for the right hander. He was slow exiting the turn and I got along side him on the outside. What happens next, he body checks me into the grass before the next turn. Maybe it was lag, I don't know, but that never happens in my lobbies. I could have fought back for a decent finish but I decided to call it a night. These cars are a little too fast for a room full of pubbers that don't know how to drive.

I think with poor camera views it can be hard to see if some one is beside you.

That said you usually have a pretty good idea if some one is.

I try to not take it too hard when I get rammed from behind. When you are driving with different people in different cars braking point can vary wildly. It usually takes a few races to iron these things out.

I enjoyed some popcorn while I read this thread.

Little interesting event happened today in the wild, wild world of the Open Lobbies. There was this room that had a description of "Clean Fun for EVRY1" or something, and it was based on the Top Gear Test Track. So, I got into my Mark IV to give it a daily spin and head out...

There were a couple of friendly faces who wanted to compete for best hotlap around the track, so I met them at the starting line. However, the room was chock-full of drag racers, ranging from X1 prototypes, Dodge RAM pickups, Audi R8s, Vipers, Veyrons, you name it; it was all there.

We couldn't get a clean start without at least one of these clowns trying to be funny and hit us head-on. Suddenly, the whole room, besides us three hotlappers, started to try and hit us head on. They bashed and beat up our cars for quite a while. If you ever wanted the Fire and Brimstone equivalent for Gran Turismo 5, I was surely experiencing it...

Then, we talked to each other via PSN PM about what we should do. We started to ghost every time a clown attempted to ram us. For every miss they scored, I had to remove my microphone as quickly as possible to avoid ear rape caused by frantically screaming kids.

We were ghosting them for quite a while, tricking them every now and then by not actually ghosting; they just slowed their car up to our fenders. They were, by all means, pissed off now...

Suddenly, the host just somehow started the race, but he had no intention of doing so. Me and my two buddies raced for two laps, completely destroying the competition of phony-butt drag racers (the only X1 prototype in the race just stood there). In a foolishly-hilarious attempt at revenge, the crybabies attempted to collide with us head on while we raced!

After we won, I couldn't stop laughing at such cries of retardation. I'm sorry if I offended anyone by calling young kiddies "retarded", but this was just damn-right hilarious! Anyone would have had the same reaction I did. Granted...  :D

I remember that I joined a room called Free Run Nurb so I joined and noticed only one guy on the track. So I watched him for a second and some guy joined and started driving. He gets kicked immediately and these two guys say how it should e obvious that they only want one guy on the track at a time. I said "Then why the h*ll is this room called free run?" and got kicked.

I hate when I browse the open lobbies saying "Adults only" or the worst nightmare "gays, lesbians, and other" it's very weird

Not my worst, but I was in a free run lobby at Top Gear where, surprisingly, people where driving on the track properly and not using it as a drag strip (I don't have a problem with that, by the way) and were setting some lap times. So I joined in and had lots of fun.

But that's when the host woke up.

He typed "WHO WANTS A DODGE VIPER GTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I politely replied with "no thanks"

yet he kept typing "WHO WANTS A DODGE VIPER GTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" again and again and again and again until I became a little aggravated but still said politely "no thank you, now please stop asking".

But once again...

"WHO WANTS A DODGE VIPER GTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

All I could do was facepalm.

Later, some players tried to go on the track with an X1. The host then said "NO USE X1 OR KICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and instead of giving them a chance to switch cars, he kicked them. But what was even worse was that he was using one himself! I was simply finished with his shenanigans so I left. I then received a beautiful message from him saying "THE 🤬 HAS LEFT THE ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I just couldn't stop laughing.

All in all, I don't mind playing with little kids, but it's the bratty dumb hypocritical ones that get to me.

I had a good laugh with this one 👍

I don't know whats worse: Eating Chef Boy ar dee and getting kicked because the host hates the Chef. Or beating an Escudo on TGTT with a NASCAR, and the host rage kicking me. :D

After reading through this thread, and even posting in it a few times, I find it ironic that there is a select few in here that keep posting about their numerous bad experiences. Kinda makes me stop and think about that whole common denominator thing and where the problem really lies.

That's awful! People like that put england to shame I love having people from other countries in my rooms! Feel free to join my rooms any time!! :) If peopelfollow the rules then I havent got the slightest problems with them! Nuff said :)

Thanks.

Didnt know about not posting names, I apologize to anyone else. He just started sending me message after message so I set it straight.

Dont really care if I get kicked but Im not gonna take it from this guy, play another race like everyone else.

Went into a room the other day and it was at Trial Mountain when some n00b in an FGT came in and started ramming everyone (this wasn't during the race and the host was away so we couldn't kick him) and driving backwards. That's the worst thing that has happened to me online. It got realy annoying until I got into my FGT and started ramming him and telling all the other members of the room to help me out. It got pretty fun then cus he couldn't get away and he got so annoyed he left the room and I couldn't stop laughing

Ok So knowing full well im going to get flamed something severly im going to tell you about my worst/funniest experiance online.

Joined a room last night in a modified dodge challenger, it was to be a 3 lap race of monza and i was free running it in the mean time.

So this sweedish dude joins the room in a Zonda R and i can see that his already being a douche before the race has even started, then it was almost as if he just had a target on me for the whole time, ramming me into walls, running me of the track, driving ahead and blocking me & others & just general douchebaggery.

I was pretty pissed so i rolled a joint & had a smoke while still free running it, i saw in the chat that the room owner was getting ready to start the race so I quickly jumped out, Jumped into my X1 and got back into the track just before the start race warning came on.

Once the race started my only mission in life at that point was to mess with the Swedish Guy & his Zonda R to the point of no return, I was running him of the track something severe, didnt even let him past the first chicane, When ever the other cars would be comming near i would always push him to the side & clear the track for them.

This whole time this Sweedish dude is screaming his brains out at me yelling all sorts of abuse & im just sitting there doing the stoner laugh & ring a friend to tell him to listen to this s**t, Was pretty epic cause he sounded like a 13 yr old or something something. All i was siging to him in the mic was "I wanna get Highhhhhhhhhhh sooooooooo Highhhhhhh"

let the flaming begin!

MasterLeaf
Worst I ever had. In one of these 'English road laws' things some guy with a Yellow McLaren F1 kept ramming my 22B-STI because he was (Probably in his imagination) a 'Cop'. When I asked him why he was doing it I got a load of :censored:ing over the fact that my car was '9@Y'and that, apparently, you couldn't get it and thus gave him the thought that I was a 'HAXX3R N00B'
What's worse, he was the host and kicked me and sent me PMs saying how he "Knew my email" and that he was "Going to burn my house down" Oh And his PSN was "SpongebobRocks(Random numbers here)"

All of these stories here made me 👍!

Man, I love this thread, it's really funny that the internet and online gaming have a community or better yet a "nation" full of dimwitts, retards, morons and grade-A idiots with their internet tough guy/keyboard warrior attitudes that want to 🤬 up people's time with their comments and actions and ruin race series, deathmates etc.

This is why, even though I took up Psychology, I still can't understand people, and why I don't play online(except for friends) and will never play Call Of Duty or any online game.

At the moment its PSN.. why isn't the DLC available? Where is it? Why isn't it available all over the world at the same time? Why do other countries have to wait? Why?

People on Call of Duty can be worse on GT5 than they are on COD.

Anyhow, a kid on my free run Nurburgring was nagging on about,"WHO WANTS A IMIEV FOR A LAMBO!" and we said we already had imievs. So i decided to pull my quote before you kick moment where as he said,"i can already read." Poor kid didn't see it coming. I said "Well oh yeah, well READ THIS!" *KICK* We all were laughing for what seemed like ages. :D

I decided to enter a clean racing room and watch a race that was in progress. After the race was finished I started to make my way to the track, only to find myself being kicked for absolutely no reason.

So I ask the host why I got kicked, and all I simply received was "bye".

I didn't know doing nothing can get you kicked.

I experience this all the time. You have these ignorant players that should be banned from PSN because they don't know how to make a private lounge game.

Level 23 ticket bets as to that's why you were kicked. :P

My worst experience so far is the lag that happens before all race starts. Sometimes its just a black screen with no music when suddenly it puts me in the race, *ding* "Start!" everyone already took off and I'm left scrambling on my accelerator.

Other times the menu when the car's at the pit carries over to the race start, countdown finishes, race is starting like normal for other people, and my car just rolls.. no feedback at all, pit menu still stuck.

Or worse, the black loading screen is just stuck because some idiot refuses to believe that their connection is horrendous and doesn't leave the room. They need to find a way to separate the people with bad connection from those of us with decent ones..

I personally do not have a "bad" experience mainly because I don't race on pub games. pub games for me are generally just do whatever kinda games, and then if the dude starts the race and I'm in a slower car I usually go around the track smashing into everyone mainly because of the hosts dick move of starting a race when not everyone is in a fair car

Shouldn't have picked a non competitive car to begin with. And that's still no excuse for ramming people 👎

I was on La Sarthe, speeding down the straight when what was practically a wall of drag racers appeared. We had a head on collision inadvertently, taking out 2 guys in Enzo's. Luckily they didn't have mic, because they then went ape. The next 10 minutes was spent laughing my head off as they attacked me. I escaped and further down the track, and parked in front of the pitlane entrance. I put my handbrake on, and as try came up behind me, I paused, and they sped right through me, and into the pits. I floored it in the other direction, and that was the last I saw of them...

You, my friend, deserve a prize for that last move XD

because of some drivers i had bad experiences with when i was in level 15-20 i now start all rooms myself so that if theres an id**t who rams or does pointless things i kick him out......and being level 38 atm helps since mostly mature and experienced players join my room and we have a nice time on what weve strted to call "track days" fun any car allowed sinsible drivers and just see who can post the fastest times.

I had previously avoided this thread but since the last few weeks of public room races, i have figured my worst out.
ALL OF YOU....

Why the butthurt?

Level has nothing to do with it, you can't see each others levels anyways...

Sorry for double post BTW.
