Gamespots was just as worthless plus KY confimed that PD arnt even going to attempt Forza's online community features. :indiff:

And they promised to ask some questions from members posts on the blog and they didnt!

Robin.

I just saw this over at Joystiq. It is not very informative or well thought out in my opinion.

Wow, 4 out of 7 questions about damage. And then he asks if they are going to use the motion controller in GT5. :indiff:

These idiot halo fanboys who ask the questions need to think.

If they were talking to Halo developers about Halo 4 would they waste 4 questions about how vehicles can be damaged? No. They would be asking about new weapons in the game (cars), new maps (tracks), or new modes (online & possible improvements to GT mode).

To make something that's not just about sports driving, but teaches you how to drive safely and teaches you how to drive in traffic -- that kind of educational software, I think, is something that's very important..

I like how that sounds.

I have always wanted a a game where you are free to roam a city (GTA, NFS....). But GT physics would make those games kick ass.

When I play GTA and Im driving a car I am always thinking "If the driving in this game was the exact same as GT this would rock!!!"

Me too, just imagine driving around traffic in gt5 with those beautiful graphics in a city in a lamborghini.

Another thread about an interview that is mentioned elsewere multiple times. If its worthless why make a thread about it?

My mistake. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere. Also, even though I thought it was worthless, that is just my opinion and I wanted to give the community the opportunity to see it and make up their own mind.

Fair enough if you didnt find it.

Im grumpy, just watch out in future or else you'll probably get your threads locked by the strict but fair moderators.

He did confirm that they are trying to do something with pseye.

Yea, but i truly doubt that what the PSeye is going to do, is nothing like headtracking like we originally thought. I bet it's going to be a simple thing, like taking a picture of your face, and use your face in your driver 💡

That's gonna look sweet inside my helmet :D

Number of seconds before an online race features a driver with a large penis for a head... 2.

Yeah this is pathetic. Why is everybody so interested in damage? GT5 will not be a demolition derby game. Ok, your car will be damaged during a race if you're not careful and that's all right, but there are way more important features than it like the number of cars and tracks or the online features. Damage is not what makes a great game (See GT4). I would be happy without damage and I think that they delayed GT5 ''original date'' (Before 2010) because people were whining after gamescom.

Just my thoughts.

Are you dense? What did anything in that link have anything to do with Halo, or even remotely linked Halo to the questions?

You're better than this. 👎

Hey, just because the Forza 3 demo wasn't all you thought it would be dont take it out on me

Sorry, but I loved the Forza 3 demo.

But that has nothing to do with this thread, nor does it answer my question.

Damage is not what makes a great game (See GT4).

I think GT4 would have been better with damage... so while yes you can be great without damage, it's quite likely you could be better with damage.

And besides, damage doesn't make the game, but can you say it's any kind of simulator if it doesn't have damage?

I am not saying other things aren't important but I think the core is the part to get right first before expanding the rest.

I would rather have a less quantity but better quality than more quantity and lesser quality.

Basically a sim without damage is like a pizza without cheese. It's missing a critical core component. And if the old pizza was 18 inches across with no cheese, I don't now want a 24 inch pizza with still no cheese, get some damn cheese on that thing, then we will talk about getting bigger.

Hey, just because the Forza 3 demo wasn't all you thought it would be dont take it out on me

There is something Freudian there... I am seeing a few noteable users lately who seem to be cracking and it's showing.

Bad enough we get a push back.....But all those interviews were so horrible....The question could have been asked by my girlfriend who has never touched a console with 13 minutes of research on this forum.....Its just been downhill for the last 3 weeks for this forum and franchise....

.

It's "Real DRIVING Simulator" NOT "Real DAMAGE Simulator". So I think the most important "core" element is the driving.

How much damage do you need? You want getting black-flagged in a race and paying for the repair as well? After all it is a game and a kind of escape from reality.

Please Yamauchi San, make damage an optional choice in GT5 so I can turn it OFF.

A member from Hong Kong, nice. Welcome to GTPlanet. 👍

Onto your post, damage is a part of driving no matter how unfortunate it is. It's a statistical anomaly and as such it absolutely should be included, but I don't see any reason why there shouldn't be an option to turn it off. Paying for damages is also apart of racing ("real" racing anyhow) it just adds to the element.

Forza has done it particularly well up until now.

Really, you liked it? Thought you being upset about it being a disappointment would explain why your so grouchy lately. Hey man, if the GT5 demo bombed and was buggy you wouldn't see me huddled up in the corner shaking like a leaf.

And to answer your question Halo has nothing to do with this interview

I've noticed that too. The Forza 3 thread's average viewerss has doubled from 5 to 10. Congrats

Um, I loved the demo, and haven't had any disappointment for it besides the oversteer physics being easy to correct & the re-positioning of the cockpit camera.

And to answer your question Halo has nothing to do with this interview
Then why did you even bring it up?

From my view, you're the one who seems to have been grouchy ever since GT was scheduled for March....
